The Food, cakes and pastries are fantastic and the service is outstanding, The atmosphere is fun and their catering is also awesome. If your looking for last minute stuff they sometimes can accommodate your request however I suggest you give them a try. I been doing business with them a long time! I highly recommend them over any other baker in the area! The custom cakes are amazing! If you want cupcakes for a last minute thing or chocolate chip cookie cake they got them or if you need cookies they got them!

17 days ago, I left a 2-star rating for this business based on my experience with employer-sponsored lunch. Over the following two weeks, on two separate occasions, this business left two lots of unsolicited food, unannounced, at my place of employment. Still, two days ago, recognising the effort of the business owner and out of my natural desire to support a local business, I upgraded my previously 2-star rating to a 4-star rating. Today, I learned that this business contacted a staff member at my workplace directly two days ago upon seeing my upgraded food review, and communicated their refusal to serve me. While they have a right to refuse service to me, I wish they had reached out to me via the Yelp platform instead of getting my workplace involved. A business cannot please every customer. Many unhappy customers simply do not provide feedback and never return. But some customers take the time and effort to provide feedback. When they do, the business has a choice as to how to handle that feedback. It is my hope always that businesses accept feedback as an opportunity to hear from their customers, learn from it, and improve. This business decided to handle my feedback in a different way, and it has left me feeling very uncomfortable.

This sweet little Schenectady spot is not to be missed! Nestled in a cozy nook on a busy little corner, Sandye's Café offers such a really great lunch menu. Across the street from one of my favorite pizza joints, I've long been intrigued with this cafe, but their daytime cafe hours have kept me away. One silver lining of the Coronavirus quarantine is that I'm now sticking close to home these days (too close), and I have some time to explore local menus at lunchtime, Sandye's being one of them. Her menu has it all: breakfast sandwiches, savory appetizers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and baked goods, covering your breakfast, lunch, and dessert bases. Trifecta, anyone? I was really craving a buffalo chicken wrap because COVID-19 is putting a damper on my chicken wing game, so when I saw it on the menu, I was done; I had to have it. And it delivered, because it really hit the spot! Plenty of crispy chicken nugs, tossed in a buffalo wing sauce, romaine, ranch dressing, and diced tomatoes. I broke my own rule by ordering it with the prescribed tomatoes; 9/10 I am not a fan of tomatoes, period, unless they're homegrown with lots of sunlight and TLC; otherwise, they're bland and mealy, in my opinion. So while that was the only flaw, they were easy to pick out, so it didn't bother me too much. Also, can I just say, I love it when kitchens lightly grill the wrap, searing it, and all its juicy bits into formation, and I was happy to see that's how they roll in Sandye's kitchen, too. My dining buddies raved about their salads: + Balsamic Spring Speciality: crisp romaine, candied walnuts, cranberries, mandarin oranges, crumbled feta, and balsamic vinaigrette. + Chipotle Chicken Salad: crisp romaine, diced tomatoes, black beans, corn, grilled chicken tossed in their house southwest ranch sauce, and served with a side of creamy ranch. I had a sampling of both, and they were incredible! Awesome flavors, with a crunch that only comes with fresh veggies and ingredients, and any salad with a healthy sprinkling of candied walnuts is speaking my language. I was thrilled I finally got to try Sandye's; she's also making an effort to put together some family-style dinners, priced and portioned to serve 2 or 4 people, so I think I'm going to get in on her taco bar later this week. Also, Sandy is a bonafide cakemaker, so give her social media look for some of her sweet handiwork! Thinking about getting a quarantine cake because, why not?

Sandye's Cafe did a fantastic job on the cake and cupcakes for my parents' 50th anniversary party! Everything was beautiful, tasteful, and quite delicious! Sandye understood exactly what I wanted and she executed it perfectly. I highly recommend Sandye's Cafe!

amazing cakes and food, service my#1 go to if you haven't tried yet, this place is must try ‼‼‼‼‼‼

Sandeys called me and offered a free lunch to make up for the mix up. Pretty stand up thing to do. Changed my opinion to recommend! Paid 3 or 4.50 for a cup of soup. Opened it and it was half full. Disappointing. $9.50 for a salad that had not been tossed in a dressing as advertised. Also supposed to come with a side of ranch which it did not. $15 is a lot to pay for this sad lunch. Don't recommend.

Amazing. Ordered cupcakes to be delivered for my son's birthday. Sandy's was so nice and helpful on the phone. A wonderful experience. She sent even sent me pics after delivery. Reasonable price, outstanding excellent service. Thank you!!!

A Groupon enticed me to try out SanDye's. Turns out it is literally a minute from my home! Bonus points. A cheery, cafe bedecked in red and white coffee shop knickknacks and a large LED TV greet you at the door. It was early on a Monday morning, so I was not surprised that the small cafe was empty--I'm sure it is busy at lunch time. I immediately ordered an iced coffee with caramel (my go-to) and a chicken, bacon, ranch panini. The panini came with potato chips in a foil to-go container. I was impressed that it wasn't styrofoam (kudos on that). Everything was very tasty and satisfying. I was told the ice cubes in the coffee were made with coffee, which also was impressive. The cashier told me while I was waiting that she'd harvested some zucchini from her garden and made zucchini bread for the cafe, which was in the oven at the time. I liked the "farm-to-table" spirit. We also chatted about her choice of movie playing on the TV at the time. This little corner cafe is great for a quick bite or coffee. It is clean, efficient, and friendly. I was disappointed not a single pastry or baked good was available so I knocked off a star. You could bring your laptop since there's a couple of tables, but this place might be better as a place to get your coffee and snack on your way to Central Park to work outside under a tree.

The best part of my experience at Sandyes: egg, ham, cheese panini. Delectable

My sister and I went to Sandyes to grab some food while getting some work done on our laptops using their free wi-fi. Sadly, we found that Sandyes was not the type of place we wanted to hang around for long. The environment felt very lackluster and bland and, as the only customers there, we could easily overhear Sandye and her employee gossiping in the kitchen. The service was friendly and acquainting but overall unimpressive. The best part of Sandyes was definitely the food. My sister and I each got egg and cheese sandwiches with meat ($5.95) and they were quite delicious. I opted out of getting the hashbrown for an extra 99 cents but received it anyway, which I was initially pleased about because she said I wouldn't be charged for it, but was ultimately turned off by because it was as much grease as it was potato. I ordered a banana peanut butter smoothie as well. They don't have a menu of smoothie flavors but rather will put together whatever you request if they have it. I was disappointed about the smoothie because rather than use fresh fruit they use artificially flavored syrup. Still tasted good, but didn't make me feel good. The place seemed very disorganized - when we went to pay she was ready to charge me for the smoothie alone and not the breakfasts that we had finished about a half hour before (a mistake that would have been much more understandable if we hadn't been the only customers in the cafe for 90% of our time there). When she rung up our food, we couldn't tell if she added the cost of the hashbrowns or not and we did not receive a receipt breaking it down for us, which was a bit worriesome considering how disorganized they seemed to be. Put simply, Sandyes has good tasting food overall but some lacking in quality. It is not a great place to hang out, but perhaps worth stopping in for a quick bite or something to go. Prices aren't bad but I won't likely be returning after my unremarkable experience

The coleslaw had a rather large chunk of cabbage core on top of my portion cup, right away I knew it wasn't house made. Okay so I removed that, still excited to try the coleslaw but as I forked it I noticed the dressing had a weird texture. I smelled it and tasted it and as suspected it was about to turn. No more coleslaw for me. The panini which sounded excellent was weird. I'm just not sure why it didn't taste good with all of those wonderful ingredients. And although I'm not positive, I suspect that the chicken breast wasn't an actual chicken breast. It was an interesting texture and flavor, kind of like chicken at a theme park where it's more like a patty instead of cut right off the ribs like you would find in the grocery store. This was just an off putting food experience unfortunately. My lunch mate said that the home fries were really good and he appreciated that they gave him gluten free toast at no up charge, though he said the bread was soggy, which is an interesting comment to make about toast. He said the omelette was an omelette.

We had Sunday brunch at More Perreca's. The bakery is closed on Sunday but I got a Sausage Lettuce Tomato sandwich served on toasted Perreca's bread. It was so delish. The Italian sausage was served with lettuce, tomato, roasted garlic puree, mayo and side salad. Everything was so fresh. My $11 meal was reasonably priced. The garlic purée was amazing. They need to bottle it. I'd buy some. My friend had the Mac and cheese and an espresso martini. He loved both. Rachelle was our server. She was wonderful. Very helpful. She explained some of the menu to me because there were a number of Italian sausage dishes. The food was prepared quickly which was great because we were hungry. Rachelle came back later to check on us. I gave her a thumbs up and a smile while busily chewing a bite of sandwich. The restaurant is charming with nice tin ceilings and big windows to let the light in. There are many booths which makes it cozy. When we arrived most of the tables were full. Based on the chatter in the room it sounded as though a lot of friends had gathered at the restaurant to literally break bread over brunch. The menu offers a nice variety: from egg breakfasts, assorted salads to Italian classics. It was an all around yummy and enjoyable experience. I let Rachelle know that we'll be coming back.
