Graham's is such a gem and it's probably good I don't live closer! The environment is so fun and staff has consistently been very friendly and helpful each time I've been here. The homemade coffee syrups are really good and I also love that they have some on site to purchase to use in your coffee at home! They also always have really unique latte specials that are unlike anywhere else. They have excellent baked goods and I can't help getting one every time! Stopped in here because I had some extra time before a business meeting. Super cute place. Love the vibes and ambiance in there. The staff was very pleasant and the service was great. What a cute little coffee shop! Located in what appears to have once been a house, Graham's Coffee Parlor is a quirky little coffee shop serving up some delicious espresso beverages. On my recent trip there, I ordered their pumpkin spice latte. I think it's made with actual pumpkin and it was completely dreamy. If you want a little slice of autumn in a cup--this beverage is a must. They have a cute seating area with a communal table as well as a few smaller tables. I sat at the communal table and got some work done while I was there. It's definitely good for meeting a friend or getting some work done. A fun funky coffee shop serving delicious coffee and treats. I'd love to actually sit down and enjoy the space more one of these days but it's always so busy! Not a bad problem to have. Be warned their large iced coffees are LARGE, mine in this picture lasted me two days. I do wish they had a few more syrup choices available. My granddaughter and I had a delightful experience at Grahams on State Street near Mohawk Commons in Schenectady. I like to support local. And small businesses. Ordering was fun because even though there is a large variety of drinks on the paper and wall menus, you can request variations. My Black Currant Decaf Ice Tea was refreshing! E. ordered an Iced Chai Tea. We chuckled that drinks are small, medium and large unlike pretentious Starbucks with its Venti etc. Selecting a sweet treat was a challenge because of the variety of freshly baked goods available. Need to return to try other beverages and baked items. We selected a table for two by the window. The interior was larger and just as charming and comfortable as expected. There is even an inviting couch available if interested. I had a Cheddar Scone and E. had a gluten free Brownie. Delicious! The scone was warmed and served to our table. As E. noted, it was on a colorful stoneware dish and not a paper one. And actual silverware is used here not plastic. We ordered two NY Style Crumb Cakes to go for her parents. They were packaged in a eco friendly cardboard box. Many customers came in for takeout, and several ordered and sat. Three women were behind the counter taking and preparing orders in a friendly, efficient manner. Questions were encouraged. Occasional customers of Starbucks, I wanted my granddaughter to experience a small well run successful business. It was impressive. Parking is adequate. They are women owned and have some of the best offerings on the market. They have a wide variety of coffees, teas, and other beverages. Plus they make their own baked goods and other foods. As a snack I got a Chex treat and for my son a croissant. They also had a chili with sweet potatoes that seemed just too good not to order. Everything was delicious! The flavors in my Blue Dream were on point and quite refreshing. My chili was exquisite and really hit the spot on a rainy day. My kid loved his croissant and the Chex treat was delectable. I ordered the Reese's Hot Chocolate and added 2 double shots of espresso - I asked the barista how many shots typically come in a 16oz latte and she mimmiced that. WOW. Grahams is the only place in the capital district that I will go to for a chai latte! They make it in house and the spices are incredible and it's not too sweet. They also have vegan butter for their bagels which is very rare even though it seems like it should be a tiny thing that makes a huge difference. For me, this is a "re-review". The first time I came here, I ordered a cortado (1:1ratio of espresso:steamed milk). I don't know what happened but it didn't taste quite right. I got what seemed like weak coffee and steamed milk. I should have said something but didn't; that's on me. After a long hiatus, I came back to try again. This time, the cortado was good. The espresso was not bitter and had a nice velvety texture. Maybe the upgrade to a La Marzocco espresso machine had something to do with it. Today, I went back after lunch to get a large iced coffee with cream. The barista was attentive and nice. She even asked about the amount of ice in the drink and if the color (coffee to cream ratio) was to my liking. I couldn't have asked for more. The iced coffee, however, was a bit too acidic, like it had been sitting around too long, getting stale. Personally, I still don't get this place. I'm sure I'll go back because the espresso drinks are okay. It just seems to me that the focus is more on how the space looks on Instagram rather than the making of quality coffee. read more

Oh my! This is going to be one of my new favorite places. The Goody Bowl I ordered was a hefty size and chock full of Greek yogurt, coconut, chia seeds, strawberries and raw cashews. I couldn't finish it. It was absolutely fabulous. I also ordered the Ginger Bee latte. Next time, I need to either get a larger size or a second one because I drank half of it on the ride home in the car. I can't wait to try the scones I bought. Both savory and sweet! I live under 2 miles from Graham's but it took me a few years to try it, I wish I had sooner. Went in today for the first time and it was a great experience from start to finish. Such a cute little gem! A little on the small size so imagine it could be hard to find seating- we went a little before 8am and most spots were taken (one table open) but we were leaving with it, anyway. Would like to sit next time and enjoy the atmosphere! I got a hot pistachio latte and it was, hands down, the beat pistachio drink I've ever had. It actually tasted like pistachios, very strongly. Which I love! It was not too sweet, you could taste the coffee behind it. The baristas were super kind and welcoming. Will definitely make this a weekly spot and highly recommend. read more

Love how the owner completely changed what this building at an awkward intersection & strip of Central Ave./State St. could do. Unfortunately have to comment with 2 stars for service. Have been there a few times, even bringing an out-of-town barista friend over specifically for the drinks. (pick-up only during early covid) I don't know what it is, but feel a lot of impatience, pretension from the staff. It's a little awkward/ on the spot entering & you're greeted with the ordering counter up front. That's fine- efficient. But it's a lot of options to go through & a bit overwhelming among the amazing selection of pastries, drinks & food. I tried to brush it off as the different employees were tired of having an off day. But recently visited a 3rd time (studying their website & Instagram so I was prepared) & similar attitude / impatience. (I was prepared with my drink order too! She stopped me mid-ordering to ask for size, milk, when I was just about to give it to her. What a hip and welcoming coffee shop. I really enjoy coming here. Another local coffee shop that this area sorely needs. I moved to be closer to here (actually I moved and this happens to be closer to my new place, which is fantastic). The owner is a master when it comes to drink concoction. I really crave the Ginger Bee Latte and House Chai Latte sometimes. Some places make chai too sweet, but the balance of flavor in Graham's house chai is perfect. I've tried other drinks, like smoothies and matcha latte (all very good). But I enjoy the Ginger Bee and Chai so much that I usually end up with one of those. There are scrumptious seasonal drinks that should return at some point (looking at you cardamom latte). Also, not above ordering more than one drink for myself at the same time. On my list to try is the shrub pop, when it gets warmer. There are pastries/baked goods, yogurt, acai bowls, and oatmeal. I've been hoping they'd have capacity to add more savory and breakfast options; recently it looks like my wish has come true. From Friday-Sunday they're now offering sandwiches and scone-wiches. The place has some seating, but could use a little more seats (maybe a seat or two in lieu of the instagram booth area). I've called ahead for drink pickup on the way to work in the AM and it's been ready within 5 minutes. Recently downloaded the Cloosiv app (app to order ahead from local coffee shops) and it's super easy to use. Great way to support local business, especially during this covid time.
