Yea they've got alot of whiskeys. They also have a great selection of brews and cocktails and delicious food. Even if you're just stopping by for a drink and a few bites, the naked chicken nuggets won't disappoint. Overall, the place is exactly what you want: a trendy, relaxed place to get a great drink and have a good meal with your buds. It's everything you want of it and nothing extra. The tin ceiling is awesome by the way. If I opened a bar/restaurant concept, this would be an excellent standard for reference. read more

I love this place: playoff games on the TV (NHL & NBA), Soundgarden on the soundsystem, bourbon on the menu and peanut butter on a burger. I sat near the bar (which was packed on a Monday night!) and served promptly. The waitress was patient when I altered the TCB burger to my liking. I have bookmarked this bar for quite a while. So I was ecstatic that my honey and I headed over there New Year's Eve. We were there for a late lunch ready to eat. Our waitress was great, polite and sweet. Since it was New Year's Eve we celebrated by having two glasses of whisky. I ordered the cinnamon ball and he decided to get a single barrel of jack. I have to admit it's been a while since I've had whisky. That cinnamon ball was delicious and had the perfect ice-cube. For my entree I chose the Devils peak burger (medium rare) with waffle fries and a side of wasabi mayo. My sweetie went the less spicy route and chose the metro burger (medium well) with onion rings. He enjoyed that as well. Gosh all I have to say is AWESOME!!! That Devils peak burger hit my spice level. The ghost pepper cheese and fresh jalapeños was a great contrast to the burger on the soft French roll. The waffle fries went very well with the wasabi mayo. I finished my meal with content and took the left overs to devour later:) our waitress was very accommodating and took a picture for us. Great customer service and great food!!! This is a great late night burger place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Around 10 minutes after we ordered, there was a resounding crashing sound from the kitchen area. Out waitress then comes to tell us that unfortunately, the crashing sound was our table's food. How they handled the situation is really what made me give the restaurant 5 stars. The manager personally came to apologize for the extra wait and he offered us a 25% discount on our checks. We also ended up getting free waffle fries. It's also reassuring to know they didn't just pick the food up off the ground and serve it anyway (as gross this sounds, it happens too often in restaurants). Well....the food here is perfect greasy spoon for the afternoon after a late night. The place is quite eclectic...at least the staff and patrons are...tattoos galore and the old bars and stars on the staff shirts. The staff were great...friendly and attentive. The manager....on the other hand was immature and rude. We ordered a bloody beer but charged for a full price Bloody Mary....mind you no vodka, just beer and bloody mix. And worse, when pointed out, the manager proceeded to argue with us that we should appreciate the effort the bartender went through to make the bloody beer. Instead of acting like a manager...she continued to be rude, argue, and yell at us. Would have expected a comp on the bloody beers and all would have been great. Now, she created a negative customer experience and won't be back. Mind you, our tab was over $50 and we tipped waiter as normal. In the end, she yelled back that no one has ever ordered a bloody beer before...evidently a negative customer experience because POS couldn't handle the bloody beer...just charge for a beer and be done with it. Lied to us that her boss made the call, but she was only manager there (or wouldn't let us talk to her superior). Also made a nonsensical argument that we were overcharged because of COVID? Went here on a Sunday afternoon and took a seat at the bar. Ordered the WB(k) Old Fashioned and it was one of the best ones I've had in a long time. For food, I ordered the Metro Burger with onion rings (suggested by the gentleman sitting next to me). The bartender suggested getting remoulade sauce on the side for my onion rings and he was spot on. The onion rings were amazing and the remoulade sauce was equally delicious. The burger was really good, although the patty seemed to be way overcooked and a tad bit dry. However, the mushroom topping was phenomenal. This place was the first place I had dinner at after moving here. Love it. A fellow nurse took me after work after a crazy day. We needed to go out and have fun after the day we had. Anyway it was packed so we had to wait to be seated(about 20 minutes). She had a burger with peanut butter on it. So weird but she loves it. I loved my basic cheeseburger on an onion bun. I love the area. It's a fun place to people watch and talk to strangers. I've been here a few times and it's always great. Try their fries with sweet chili sauce on it. They are so good. Parking is hard to find since it's downtown. But I just park far away and walk. Sometimes I get lucky and find a good space nearby. Anyway give it a try. The staff is always nice. read more

Half hour went by, so we went to check the status since many tables were available. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is that when I asked to swap a draft beer that was spoiled and tasted strange I was told that it's against their policy to do so. We were a excited to go have some great bourbon and food here. The bourbon selection was fantastic. My husband and his friend had a couple hard to find pours that were really reasonably priced. This is where the my review will take a turn. I would for sure consider myself and old fashioned connoisseur. My old fashioned was probably the worst one I've ever had and when I asked our server about it she was super dramatic, defensive and rude. There was no offer to remake or anything. No cherries and when I asked for one I was brought little kid bright red maraschino cherry like my drink was a Shirley temple. Any place that claims to be a whiskey bar should for sure have Luxardo behind the bar. Our burgers were mediocre at best and you cannot pick the the temperature. Would you like some carcinogens with a side of burger? BF had the katsu curry... I feel like it's overrated and I could probably make it myself with those curry cubes you can by at the Asian supermarket. I love that this place is open so late! Perfect for people that work late or don't get out to eat until late. Not to mention the fact that the food is delicious! I get the teriyaki chicken every time. It's packed with flavor and a nice, healthy choice because it comes with white rice and vegetables. One question: On a scale of 1-10, how creative do you like your bar food? WBK is a 17. This is the first time I've walked into an establishment and legit wanted to try everything on the menu in one sitting, with a shot of wild turkey, because obviously, I'm a woman of class and stature. Seriously, calling the food here "bar food" is a disservice. Their culinary creations are colossal cuisine, culled from only the Kitchen of a King. I dove into their katsu and was astounded by it's most generous of portions and the familiar yet ephemeral taste of the dish. My plate was piled high with the ugliest gravy (if you've ever played pokemon, it resembled MUK sitting on a mound of perfectly cooked rice) that was so whimsical and delicious I wanted to dance on my bar stool. I didn't, not enough room at the tall tables lining the wall. On top of that, my server was so polite and attentive (Shout out to Ms. TERA haaay girl haaay), I didn't have to wait long for refills and she was open to answering all of my questions. After checking in we watched several folks behind us get seated after waiting over 30 mins . The employees drag and cause delays in service and seating many of them standing watching stuff happen and not working by cleaning tables or completing service . They all seem to be playing games and unfocused not taking someones business seriously . I feel bad for the owners that invest their time , money and passion . The longtime staff are usually helpful and excellent but the newbies leave something to be desired. We witnessed several customers walk away after a half hearted welcome at the check in. To stand out on the dirty , dangerous street to wait for a table for slightly above average food isn't for everyone. read more
