Great new neighborhood bar as a part of The Whimzical Cafe. Great food, service and a Cheers like atmosphere.

The seared tuna was over seasoned. I did enjoy the salad. But after waiting for over an hour, I asked if I could get the shrimp and grits, as we had somewhere we needed to be. About that time, someone came out of the kitchen, tried to give me a cheeseburger. I let him know it wasn't for me. "It's for the band! This is where the band is supposed to sit." I had chosen that chair as it was the only one near the windows that didn't have sun directly in our eyes. I told him. There was no sign. None of the servers or hosts had said. "I wasn't notified." But my son and I went ahead and got up and went to stand by the bar to wait for our entree. I felt it had great potential, but it missed the mark for us.

The staff is so sweet and kind, I forget all about my challenges and relax! Folks! You've gotta go & go often!

I know that several years ago there *was* another Mexican place in the same plaza, but it morphed into an Italian and later an Asian place, so maybe that was the point where this one started (?). There is plenty of parking in the plaza and a side-lot mostly dedicated to this restaurant. We came here for a dinner on a Monday as we had errands to run in Newnan. Somewhat surprisingly, it was quite crowded. There was no wait, but it was mostly full the whole time we were there. With the crowds come noise - if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the venue for you. I don't know if this was normal, but they also had a couple of separate birthdays being celebrated. Both involved a large sparkler-type thing and one involved the staff singing. I'm not complaining, just trying to describe the vibe. And, they have a robot that delivers some of the food. It seemed to have difficulty with navigating some of the aisles, so they may need to give up on it or reconfigure the seating. The menu was a departure from a standard Tex-Mex format. You could choose different meats for your tacos, etc. They had a variety of burritos and enchiladas. They also did offer a small set of combo meals - 2 tacos, rice, and beans. You could still choose alternate tacos for them. I went with that, while my wife opted for a 3-taco platter. We both liked the food and it tasted fresh. Prices seemed a bit higher than other Mexican places. I noticed that wine was $10 per glass also. You can definitely get a quality meal here, but for us it would be a longer drive to pay more for a similar meal that we could have in a quieter venue closer to home. I don't think I'll become a regular here, but it's fine depending on what you're looking for.

I noted that they recently had moved to a different location closer to Newnan. This venue has hosted several different restaurants in the last 5+ years, including the 2nd incarnation of Mamma Lucia's. We checked it out on a recent Saturday for lunch. The location is about a mile east of I-85 on Hwy 34. It has its own small parking lot, but is also located amongst a maze of small business, a bowling alley, etc. so there should be other parking opportunities if needed. There is a bar area when you enter and IIRC there is a large dining room in the back. However, it was a nice day when we visited so we opted to sit out on their covered patio. Our server was attentive and stopped by when needed. The only minor issue was that their online menu had been more expansive than the one they were currently using (mostly brunch). There were still a variety of dishes, just not quite as many as we'd expected. I wasn't super hungry so I just got a salad. It was large so I didn't leave hungry. I looked at the wines but they seemed pricey, so I skipped that. My wife opted for a brunch platter (eggs / sausage / hashbrowns) and liked it. The food was good. Prices were mid-range. If we go back, I think we'll try it for dinner instead, as we aren't usually huge brunch fans. However, this seemed like a decent choice for a good meal in this area.

While I am trying to order he starts having a conversation with the 2 ladies at the bar and even walked off. There are so many flavors, spice levels, and wing variations. The wings come with a side of ranch or blue cheese. Ranch was the preferred side. Not busy at all for the day after Christmas!!! Good vibes. Pics or it didn't happen but it did happen. I'll have to take pictures next time. I got 6pc boneless traditional buffalo wings with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. One thing real life real talk was that the buffalo spice level was saucy and spicy. If you go too hot and your mouth is on fire idk what to tell you. You were warned. Even after driving there, something in me said this might not go well--but I decided not to judge a book by its cover. Upon entering, I was greeted nicely and the staff seemed diverse and friendly, so I felt comfortable staying. I ordered a Smashburger and clearly explained to my server that I know what a Smashburger is, but I needed my meat well done. Unfortunately, it seems that request went in one ear and out the other--either the server didn't communicate it or the kitchen didn't care to follow it. What I received was undercooked meat, and I do not eat raw burgers. This is completely unacceptable. I will never return to this location. Next time, I'll be sure to read the reviews before wasting my time and money.
