Usually a restaurant needs a little more time to get their act together after they first open. Went here yesterday for lunch with my wife. Started out well and got seated quickly. Wasn't very crowded so that helped. After waiting about 15 minutes for our server to show up I flagged down the mater de (SP) and asked what was up. He seemed confused until I told him we were never attended to. He was somewhat apologetic and said he was going to get the same guy as he initially said was going to be our server. Several minutes later the kid showed up and was very apologetic. He explained that it was shift change and he hadn't been told this was his table. I hadn't seen him come out from the back the whole time so I was curious (pun intended) where his 'tables' usually were. Ordered the lobster roll and the wife ordered the smash burger. Great service from then on. Lobster roll was very good even though a bit juicy (drippy) so kind of messy. Nowhere near that of the burger though as it had a very thin bottom bun that was soaked with grease. See pics. The French fries were delicious and perfectly cooked though. Service has always been good & the ambiance in the new location is great! Much more room & great decor. The food was spot on; love the collards, could eat a whole bowl. The fries are not cooked in seed oils & have always been a hit... wife says best in town! I agree. I had the seafood crepes & they were delicious . Joseph was our server from Morocco & man, does he do a great job. Shoutout to him for brining the professionalism & enthusiasm without being over the top. We have eaten at all of the local 'Curious' eateries at least once. I think we tried Curious Kitchen when they were in Senoia, but we hadn't been back. I noted that they recently had moved to a different location closer to Newnan. This venue has hosted several different restaurants in the last 5+ years, including the 2nd incarnation of Mamma Lucia's. We checked it out on a recent Saturday for lunch. The location is about a mile east of I-85 on Hwy 34. It has its own small parking lot, but is also located amongst a maze of small business, a bowling alley, etc. so there should be other parking opportunities if needed. There is a bar area when you enter and IIRC there is a large dining room in the back. However, it was a nice day when we visited so we opted to sit out on their covered patio. Our server was attentive and stopped by when needed. The only minor issue was that their online menu had been more expansive than the one they were currently using (mostly brunch). There were still a variety of dishes, just not quite as many as we'd expected. I wasn't super hungry so I just got a salad. It was large so I didn't leave hungry. I looked at the wines but they seemed pricey, so I skipped that. My wife opted for a brunch platter (eggs / sausage / hashbrowns) and liked it. The food was good. Prices were mid-range. If we go back, I think we'll try it for dinner instead, as we aren't usually huge brunch fans. However, this seemed like a decent choice for a good meal in this area. read more

The server was the only thing good. We ordered two special wagu steak dinner they were over cooked and burned. The 8oz was alright but the butter would not melt because it was cold. The side of mash potatoes were equally as cold. The small plates save you money. The oysters were so small and the lobter dip was horrible. The price did not equally the quality. The coffee was old and the bourbon selection was very limited due to supplies. We went there to celebrate a birthday. I should have given them the 450.00 dollars as a gift. Not worth the price... I don't know what to say because this used to be our favorite m but when it moved to Newnan, I guess they're just trying to do too much. The restaurant is adorable and the cocktails are still great, but some of the menu items are lacking I think it has just gotten too big and they need to go back to a smaller vibe. read more

We went there before heading to The Atlanta Symphony concert with jazz singer Samara Joy. The show was a late one beginning at 8:01 P.M. We decided to go to the Curious Kitchen in Newnan. I ordered the pan fried flounder and before that we ordered the fried green tomatoes which were delicious abd so we're the dinner rolls. The pan fried Flounder didn't taste fried to me because it had no color to it and by it being such a mild fish there was no taste at all. It had a white gravy, capers and sprinkled cilantro thrown on it, but still it was bland. The grilled broccolini tasted burnt. The fingerling potatoes were very tasty. Our server was very good. She was professional and cared for us as we continued to eat. Would I eat there again? They've got some kinks to work or out before I do. read more

Went for lunch. Pretty nice ambiance, a little cold but it was stylish. We got a roomy booth which was good for convention. Service was very good. Prosecco was flat! After having a favorable experience at the Curious Cantina in Peachtree City, I decided to try the Curious Kitchen in Newnan. It was a a partial success. Phillip was our server and was attentive and answered all of our questions with accuracy and efficiency. One major thing open for improvement was the old fashion I ordered pre-dinner. I ordered Buffalo Trace which is an acceptable sipping bourbon but it didn't have any decernable orange or cherry influence. No luxardo cherry juice or cherry or piece of orange. Just a dry orange peel and water! They could have tried harder. I did order a second one and asked for a cherry. Maraschino is not the same as a Luxardo. Oh well. We had the Beef Tallow Truffel Fries-yum! What a great side. I was not afraid to order these since they consistently get rave reviews. We also ordered Fig and Brie crostini...also yum! Then a Cesar salad which was spilt for two and very tasty. Out came our main entrees. My daughter ordered the steak sandwich and I ordered the Butter Basted Halibut with Pea Purée and a fabulous succotash concoction that stole the show. The halibut was tasteless, unfortunately and I was so looking forward to it. You don't find halibut on most menus. I salted it, peppered it and put a pat of butter on it. Wow. AND the size of the fillet should have embarrassed them, but it didn't. What can you say? My daughter's choice was delightful and she could only eat half. So mixed review on the entrees. Love their location in Peachtree City and we're happy to see a new location in Newnan. Service and drinks were very good. Food offerings are varied and spread across a range of price points. Duck special was a delight, lamb was well cooked and great flavor. I was not as hungry as my fellow guests and opted for what I thought would be a smaller portion, the chicken sandwich. The size made me think they must have thought it was for two. Huge portion. Only negative was the gnocchi dish was a little dry. Had a very pleasant conversation with the bar manager who couldn't have been more friendly and sincerely wanted our opinion. Ate in the inside dining area even though there is an attractive patio. Inside is a little dark and surfaces are a little hard making room a tad noisy. Overall good experience and wish owners good luck. read more

Went there Sunday afternoon to experience this new restaurant that took the place of Mama Lucia's. We walked in and stood there waiting. First in line. A lady came up and said that someone else would help. Waited and a young g man arrived, who got a call on cell phone. After talking he walked away like we weren't there. Waited again. Another lady came up and stated they may have cleaned a table. She took us back. Nice place. She said someone would be with us. We were handed two large menus(size). Had four pages of products. Three of them (75%) were alcoholic products. There was one page of food. The list was very skimpy with very high prices and the sides cost $8 each. Not paying that much for a burger or salad. Never had a waiter come to our table. Never to return. Walked out! This place won't last a year, except for the liquor. Not curious anymore. read more

From start to finish the tables were more than adequately spaced, the service attentive and the food well presented. Rolls were delicious. I ordered the lobster risotto. It was so hot I couldn't eat it. Google said it is not normally a spicy dish. "Lobster risotto is not typically spicy, as its flavor profile is usually creamy and rich from the lobster, cheese, and broth, but it can be made spicy." I asked the waiter to find out what ingredients made it so hot but he never did. I didn't send it back but switched for my husband's mild fish. The steak sandwich was predominately fat and gristle, and the server did not ask how we wanted the steak cooked. There were 3 couples at our table with 3 separate tabs. The restaurant added a 20% tip to each tab. We didn't expect that and I would not have tipped 20% based on the food and the service. Gouda Mac-n-cheese tastes nothing like Gouda. Appetizers are small, 3 bites. Food is consistently delivered at a pace that your dunner party does not eat together (every time I have eaten there this has happened). The butter pecan tarts are runny cheesecake with chopped pecans sprinkled on top. The winter salad was topped with a big piece of chicken and thick slices of Brie. When you need a steak knife for a salad, it's not a salad. They are always out of decaf coffee. Last visit they had no coffee creamer. Won't be back after 3 visits. Service was lacking ( missed tip opportunity!!! Visit 3: I had Caesar salad and asked for dressing on the side ...kitchen dressed the salad which was severely over dressed. NO SEREVER EVER asked why I didn't eat it. On cellphones & NOT paying attention to customers!!! Visit 4: Today I ordered the chicken bag. 1st day server so he didn't know what it was so couldn't describe to me. Our other guest asked about menu items & he didn't know answers, He was polite & went to kitchen to ask. This shows me a TOTAL lack of training of staff!!!! My chickens was so over breaded & soggy & uneatable, My husbands fish & chips was same!, Friends smash burger so over cooked could not eat , other friends arugula salad with steak also tough & could not chew. WE think the fish & chicken was put in fryer still frozen along with OLD grease! Was steamed vs fried so got VERY Soggy!!! NO more chances for us!!! I don't see y'all lasting long here. The menu on their website is not what the menu is at the restaurant! Me and my family went there to eat based on the menu on their website. The prices of the food on their website was substantially different than the prices when we got there. even the food was totally different. I got the steak sandwich that I got was not that good. It was tough. My friend got the chicken sandwich and even it wasn't that good. They really need to update their menu on their website to reflect the menu that is in the restaurant. The ambiance is the same as the last failed restaurants in that Newnan location. It's nothing like the charming restaurant in downtown Senoia. The female hostesses were too busy flirting with their boyfriends hanging out at the entrance to pay attention to their customers. The bar is depressing with the terrible canned LED lighting creating terrible shadows. The menu is the Senoia menu plus $8-10 per plate. The food? Meh. This restaurant will fail in the next 90-120 days (May-June, 2026) unless Gordon Ramsay comes and saves the day. read more
