They're fast and efficient, the salsa's fresh the chips are crisp. They're accommodating to changes that you would like.... Like I substituted beans for rice and a chicken Verde enchilada for a regular chicken enchilada on my combo plate. The chicken quesadillas are huge. And be aware that the fajita carnitas is not cut up. I can't wait to go back and try the Heurvos Rancheros for breakfast. We came to this small Mexican inspired restaurant in a strip mall in Tyrone to accommodate the family dinner the day after thanksgiving day . We had a table of 7 people and our server was very attentive and he knew the three local people that have been here a number of times before. All the food was delivered hot and attractive. My tilapia grill came with six grilled shrimp, rice and an avocado salad. My fish was a bit greasy due to grilling a bit too long and it was really crispy . My wife's fish tacos served with rice and beans was more than enough for her and she stated that it was good overall, this can be a friendly service good place to dine. read more

Very happy to find this place down the street located in Tyrone Ga in the shopping center with zesto. Family owned place with family pictures on the walls and various cultural items only critique the booth were a bit old and very hard to sit on . We were promptly greeted by our waitress , I did get an adagio frozen margarita it was really good I think it was smaller 16 oz one. The chips were good the salsa had a kick to it but chunky and yummy. My mom liked her taco salad large portion with flavorful chicken and salad and the tomatoes and veggies. I'm not sure how long this restaurant has been here. We have lived in the area for over 5 years and had never stopped by until now. The restaurant is located in a plaza on Hwy 74 in Tyrone. We had eaten at one other restaurant here in the last 2 years, but had not tried this place. There was ample parking available in the shared lot. We stopped by on a Sunday around noon. There were a few tables occuppied when we arrived. Soon, many others arrived (molstly older 'after church' folks, with at least one large party of teens + an adult). It was mostly full when we left around 1 p.m. They do have lunch specials, but these are only available Monday - Saturday. The entres we ordered came out fairly soon and were quite good. My wife got a taco platter and I got a combo. The chips / salsa were good while we waited on the food. We had some leftovers to take home also. Based on this experience, I'd gladly return here soon. read more

We came here around 8:30 pm on a Thursday. Me and my husband both got the same plate of food (flautas). Food was good. The service could have been better although I know it was around closing time. When we walked in one of the servers were sitting on the table and they did forget our silverware. Service was slow only two tables. The restaurant was clean for the most part. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but sadly it fell way short of expectations I had after reading other reviews. I ordered the #37. It was just okay. There wasn't anything special about the flavor and the rice had the taste and feel of something that had been warmed over and the beans were strictly basic fare. The guacamole was nothing special, it was very bland and needed a little salt. Overall, there was no love or passion in the food. It was edible, but not delicious. I will not be going back. I feel like the other reviewers had a completely different food experience than I did. One reviewer said they were from San Diego and praised the food as "authentic." Had a sampling of several items, tacos, enchilada, beans, rice, tamale, shrimp cocktail, chicken soup! All were very good. The shrimp cocktail is served warm in a flared glass with avocado, tomato, onion, cilranto, peppers, onion and has a chunky consistency loved it and so different to be served warm! The tamale was great! Homemade with a lighter texture to the masa, rather than the usual heavy dough like texture, salsa was good, but not hot, guacamole was creamy and needed some salt, in which I added at the table. Went to this place last Friday and ordered four vegetarian dishes. Waitress was fully informed strictly no Non-veg & mushroom in any dishes. She brought chimichanga full of chicken and Taco with Mushroom. Upon pointing out she brought back another chimichanga full of mushroom without an beans or cheese. It seems like either there was absolutely no communication between waitress & cook or cook doesn't understand language. Things keep getting worst after that. At Checkout owner/manager offered $1 credit for all this troubles and issues. What a joke ! read more

I really hate to be the first one to review this place only to drop a one-star on them, but, sometimes you have to lance the boil in order to start the healing... In all fairness, the food of this place would warrant a solid three stars; not bad, not the best, and fairly priced. The best part was the speed in which the food was served from the time it was ordered. But as I said, it's really nothing you couldn't get at any "Mexican restaurant" around the rest of the Metro Atlanta area. The chips were a little on the styrafoamy side once they weren't toasty warm anymore, the salsa is a little watery and mediocre, but the cheese dip was good. But then we get to the reasoning that concludes me to the brutal one-star rating. First, the decor of the place is really dismal and kind of, well, grungy. For a place that isn't really at all that old, once inside, it feels kind of like a bingo hall, crudely themed into Mexican night, on a permanent basis. The linoleum floors look old already, and maybe the lighting is too, well, revealing, but the place just feels dirty. The walls are this ugly, pukey-mint color, scattered sparsely with some supposedly Mexican photographs. Admittedly, the decor of the place is superficial, because it's the food that should really count, but then the nail in the coffin for this place was the men's restroom. Without getting too brutally graphic, I'll best explain via analogy. If anyone's seen the Dave Chappelle skit where they're spoofing Kinko's as this company called Pop-Copy, and they show proper way to maintain the restroom, well very similarly can be used to compare to this place's men's room. Except that I don't think in this very real instance, it was chocolate sauce all. Over. The. Place. Absolutely revolting, and unacceptable. I have no regrets in trying out new places, but I'm afraid that this place simply isn't worth making a repeat trip to. read more

It's a solid mexican place. Better than taco bell, not better than what you could get at a more traditional taqueria. Pretty standard, run of the mill stuff that you'd find at any local mexican spot. The flavors a bit different from most though. The sauces are a bit thicker and there can be a bit more spice. The major asset this place has is the staff which is extremely friendly and on the ball most of the time. With three or four people going we're usually in and out in under an hour. Try ordering some of the specialties that are on the bottom left side of the menu. The Alambre is great. It's basically fajitas with a few extra ingredients like cheese and bacon. read more

Solid Mexican food with a super nice staff. Service was great. We had fajitas and a vegetarian platter which consisted of a cheese quesadilla, guacamole taco, and rice. Pretty simple but good. The taco literally just had guacamole in it with shredded cheese on top. Their guacamole has a kick of spiciness to it which I liked. Nothing impressive. Overly priced, quick fix, frozen not fresh mexican food. Most of it could come right out of the 'Ethnic' aisle of your local Publix... I can understand some of the hype though being the only close Mexican place in Peachtree City but make the drive, it's worth it. read more
