I stopped by Señor Taco on Saturday with a friend and we liked it there! We got dinner and drinks. I had the birria quesadillas (more like birria tacos) and my friend had the burrito Senoia with chicken. We also ordered queso and a side empanada. The birria quesadillas were okay. Not my favorite but still decently good. I think they could work on how they make it- they need more cheese inside and I think the meat needs to marinate longer maybe. Also the consume needs some improvement, didn't have much flavor. I was still okay with it but I'd order something else next time. My friend liked the burrito Senoia. We both loved the empanada. I'm definitely getting one again next time. Their chips are great and we liked the queso and salsa. I'm obsessed with their salsa verde. The drinks were pretty good. We liked the jalapeño mango drink a little more than the Blue Lagoon. I think the Blue Lagoon needed some more blue curaçao. Still pretty good overall though The wait for our food was very short, the workers were all courteous, and we were sat immediately. The prices here are reasonable. There's lots of parking surrounding the place. You can sit inside or outside. I liked the ambiance inside. The decor was pretty cool. Plus they play music at a good volume. I can't stand not hearing who I'm eating with. That wasn't the case here at all. Location is convenient since it's downtown I'm certain we'll be back! :) read more

Two stars cause the food was good but the only reason we came here for our girl's lunch was for their soft serve margarita which was such a DISAPPOINTMENT. It tasted disgusting and looked ugly compared to what they were advertising. Our server was also horrible she didn't even tell us that they only had one flavor she just took our order, said "okay" then left. Also $43 with tip for just me is crazy. $19 for the entree and $17 for the subpar soft serve margarita. It's not cream based y'all, it tastes like italian ice. Nothing different than a frozen margarita. It was also watered down. Anyways won't come back, one and done. They need to practice more and change their recipe up for that soft serve. My wife and I ate there for Valentine's Day. She got the steak fajitas and I had the house enchiladas. We also got the queso dip as an appetizer. Everything was out to the table quickly. The server was great with checking on us for more drinks and making sure everything was going good. Everything was delicious, as it always is here. We chose Señor Taco for a special lunch to celebrate our daughter's FIRST birthday, and unfortunately it was a really disappointing experience. We asked if they do anything for birthdays and the server said yes with an attitude and rolled her eyes. After we finished eating, instead of any acknowledgment or effort, she set a piece of cake on the table and said "sorry, it's too busy to sing." We didn't even care about the free dessert, we just wanted to see our daughter feel special and get excited. Thankfully, a kind "Gigi" sitting next to us saw how upset we were and stepped in. She agreed that it was crazy and got the whole room to sing to our baby girl, which was the only thing that made the moment special. We completely understand restaurants get busy, I was a server for 10 years. This felt like a lack of care, especially for such a meaningful occasion. On top of that, the food was not good at all, which made the experience even more frustrating. We were really hoping for a joyful, memorable birthday lunch, but sadly it fell far short. What a great restaurant in Senoia. The decor is standard Mexican restaurant. The service was above average. The menu was extensive. There were so many choices that looked and sounded so good it was hard to choose. Almost all of the food we ate was food was excellent. The only food issue was that the shrimp were very difficult to peel. The taste was amazing, and I resorted to eating them with the shell on. The menudo was very good. The food is authentic Mexican and above par. I had the shrimp tacos and was pleasantly surprised they added avocados which are my favorite to a lot of their dishes. Jim had their house margarita and it was very good! Best margarita he has had in years (if you know Jim this is the ultimate compliment). Stopped in for dinner and almost died of old age waiting for my food to come out. When we entered, we ordered cocktails and queso and chips. These came out relatively quickly. We placed our food order... And over 20 minutes later I asked our server if we were going to get our food. He laughed. We then addressed him in Spanish, and magically our food came out. We get takeout food here mostly. In general, the food is pretty good. However, a word of warning about the queso dip. You will spend $8.50 for a cup that measures 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" that isn't even full. Tonite half of it leaked out into the bag because they didn't put the lid on properly. If you're ordering takeout and want queso you should buy it at the grocery store before you pick your food up from Senor Taco. The rest of the food is fine. read more

This place from the outside look smaller than I thought it was. After being greeted right away on a busy Memorial Day weekend at 6pm we were seated within a short time. This place was busy , but they found a way to keep the flow going. Our server was very efficient we ordered our drinks + food relatively quickly. This isn't a wine and dine spot it is a casual paced setting in my opinion. The mojito was delicious. We ordered the fajitas for two we could barely eat all of them with 2 1/2 people Aka a toddler. TERRIBLE first impression. Waitress wasn't around/disappeared. Three people in our party. Didn't ask for my order/if I wanted anything (which I did!) just a drink until after she put everyone else's in. THEN asked if I wanted anything. Yes, she straight up ignored me. Showed her my ID and asked if what I wanted was alcoholic... why else would I show you my ID? Messed up 2/3 drinks. Plus, flies on the window sill we sat next to. Gross and disappointing. I was in the mood for Mexican food coming from Vegas I was curious to see how this would do if I was craving Mexican food.. Fist let's say this place is always busy from what I've seen so I came early and they had plenty of seats and outside seats which I love.. The staff was warm and inviting and the server was very nice..they offered chips and salsa, no bean dip.. ordered side of cheese dip which was not melted or heated correctly.. I ordered steak chimichanga it's came with rice and a little tortilla bowl with lettuce tomato sour cream which I thought was cute. Food took about 15 to 20 minutes to arrive so I finished the first set of chips which were okay not so fresh and the second set was way better hot and fresh. The food arrived nice plating chimichanga was covered in Blanco cheese never seen that before...I don't know what kind of shell they used but it was not crispy or chimichanga type.. the steak was okay and the flavors okay but it's not authentic food. The rice no flavor it's like store bought Mexican rice nothing hand made about it. I was average food at best but I've eaten in few great Mexican places so that may alter my opinion.. it's great place for family in downtown Senoia but the food is just Okay! well guys I'm not one to leave reviews but this place made me pull my phone out and spend time to tell you guys about these tacos. I ordered 2 steak tacos and they were marinated and seasoned to perfection. props to the cooks back there making it happen!! I'm Mexican and know about tacos and I especially know about carne azada and this one is definitely up there with my cooking and my moms cooking go check it out!! and that guy Rafael the manager is a cool guy he'll tell you about the daily specials. ill for sure be back on Taco Tuesday for 15% off my order of tacos!!! read more

We had noticed this place a few weeks ago while driving home on a weekend evening through the center of Senoia. It appeared really busy. Since it was relatively new, we had wanted to stop back by and try it out. We had an opportunity on a recent Sunday. We parked in a city lot about a half block away. However, when we got to the restaurant, it did appear that they had their own small gravel lot out back as well. Plus there is some angled street parking out front, though the street is busier there. We uncharacteristically arrived after noon for a lunch. I was apprehensive that they might not have tables, but luckily they were barely half full when we arrived. That did not last long, though; they were at capacity before we left. The dining room is not all that big - maybe 10 - 12 talbes for 4 each, with some of those combined for larger parties. I'm not sure if there is another (small) dining area in the back - we kept seeing people entering the place from odd doors that I'd have thought only led to the kitchen or the restroom... Our server was attentive and, when the food was slightly delayed, stop by to assure us that it hadn't been forgotten. The menu seemed fairly extensive, but they do have a small set of the standard Tex-Mex combos that you find in most Mexican restaurants in the U.S. The combo I got, 2 tacos / rice / beans, was a bit smaller than some other places, but the price was comparably less. I had no leftovers but wasn't charged too much for the meal either. So, no complaints on that front. We both agreed that the food was tasty as well. Their complementary chips were lighter and less oily than a lot of other places' too. If I were in Senoia at mealtime, I would definitely consider a visit here. read more

We came here to eat after doing the Walking Dead tour, once we got there it seemed like it was going to be a good place. Once we got our food, the tacos had no seasoning and the shells were stale. On top of that my cousin ordered a mojito and it was nasty and the margaritas was literally juice. Once the waitress was advise, she got the manager and he rudely came out saying "Well you ordered it" without even asking her. It wasn't even just rudely, he yelled at her. My cousin just gave him the bill and said nope I'm not arguing with you and he still wanted to keep being combative and then he mouthed something and made a face. Which resulted in us not leaving a tip, which we never go without doing. But when a man raises his voice to 4 women like that it's uncalled for. We went to Senior Taco a couple times at their other TINY little location across the street in Senoia. We even said then they needed a bigger space. Very glad to see that's exactly what happened. And better yet, they took over an absolutely terrible restaurant to move to, YESTERDAYS. Now that restaurant was bad. Anyway, on to the good news. Senior Taco has a bigger space and seems to be doing well. We had the fish tacos which were good. The roasted salsa is also a must. Very polite and good service. We did have to remind them a couple times for small things but nothing serious. The actual space could use some warming up of colors and vibe. It just feels a little "cafeteria" inside.
