I came to Nic & Norman's on a recommendation and decided to sit at the bar, which was perfect since they serve the full menu there. It was early on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't very busy. My drink came out quickly, and the food followed not long after. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail, which was amazing, but only if you're a mezcal fan. If you're not into that smoky flavor, this probably isn't your drink. For food, I asked the bartender what burger to get, and she recommended the classic burger with cheese, so I went with that and added sweet potato fries. The burger and fries were delicious, simple, well done, and exactly what I was hoping for. The inside has a really nice dark, rustic vibe that fits the town perfectly. Staff was friendly, and overall the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. They do take reservations, but since I went early, I didn't need one. Saturday night and packed. Clean and fun restaurant from the crew of TWD TV show. Located In the city where several seasons of the show was filmed. Service was great, especially for a busy weekend. Our appetizer came out pretty quick, but there was a bit of a wait for our meals. Longer than expected, which is why I feel like the food was left under a heat lamp; as my chicken was a tad on the tough side. We ordered the: Margherita flatbread Nic-N-Chicken Southern Fried Ribs Brussels sprouts Sweet potato fries Sidewinder fries Gouda grits Mashed Potatoes The flatbread was fantastic! My husband said his ribs were pretty good. The grits and mashed potatoes, both rich, thick and creamy, perfect texture and flavor on both. The side winder fries had a fun shape, and fried just right. The sauce on the Nic-N-Chicken was so good it made me forget it was overcooked. It was like a BBQ based sauce with onions and mushrooms over chicken breast The Brussels sprouts had goat cheese and normally comes with bacon, which I omitted. Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cut thick and also fried to perfection. The only down side was the overcooked chicken and the extended wait which I think led to the culinary boo boo. We went for drinks the other day and ordered the spinach dip. The bowl of spinach dip was very small, and not much spinach. It came with 6 pita squares. They comped it from the bill and were super apologetic. I loved the inside and all of the pictures on the walls, including the one of the cast where everyone's faces were photoshopped into it. The very first restaurant I tried in Senoia was actually Nic & Norman's, it's taken me months to decide if I wanna write the review now or wait till I properly eat my way through the entire menu But there was one dish that stood out above all, and it triggered my taste buds that motivated me to start writing again. N&N's needs no introduction, it's a celebrity owned restaurant, and I'm sure tons of The Walking Dead fans have came to visit in hordes. However, I don't buy into big names and hot shots...I truly believe that good food speaks for itself. Compliments to the chef, the food absolutely sang. It was a casual lunch shared amongst my broski and my mama. The two of them neglected to share their food or pictures with me Big broski scarfed down the Shrimp and Grits Cakes so quickly that he himself forgot to snap a photo. Taste? 8/10, and he's a picky eater. He's had so much Shrimp and Grits in the South that an 8 is basically a gold medal in his book. My mama had a simple Bacon Burger. She wanted to play it safe. Because ya know...if a hot restaurant can't make a burger, what we doing? To my surprise, the woman that literally only ever give compliments to Asian food, said she loved the burger. Full on The patty was juicy. The flavors were all there. That smokey bacon aroma made its way into the entire burger, it was balanced, it was non greasy, it was simply fantastic. Really wish Mama had saved me a bite. And then there was me. I ordered the Brisket Nachos. Nachos is a very simple dish that actually many fail to deliver. Shoutout to me back in college drizzling cheese on chips thinking I made awesome nachos. Brisket, another tough dish to nail. Don't cook long enough, and you're basically chewing on cubed steak. Over cook it and well...hope you like soup. To combine Brisket and Nachos into one is quite brilliant and I might say seemingly a daunting task. The juice from the brisket can easily soak up all the chips and I'm just not a fan of wet chips. This dish however, delivered something extraordinary. The beef brisket was tender, but not overflowing with runaway broth. The chef made a jus (look at me pretending I know what I'm talking about ) and it became the perfect compliment sauce to its counterpart hand sliced potato chips. Is it hand sliced or AI? Stop on by and find out for yourself. Taste of the brisket - Solid 9. It really takes a juicy brisket to trigger a 10 out of me. Taste of the nacho chips - 8. I'd like to see a bit less grease on the chips. Nachos are rich and filled with flavors and texture and when a tad bit too much grease joins the party, it makes it harder to finish the dish. Honestly, the nachos really should've been shared by the table. Just enough decadent bites to open your appetite for the entrees. Lunch that day was absolutely perfect. And it's all thanks to our server, Susan Lee. I got lucky, because she no longer works there. Susan gave me a whole bunch of tips regarding the town of Senoia, since she heard I'd be moving here soon. She also saw that I was storyboarding a spec ad car commercial and she gave me pointers on where to scout for filming locations. I am absolutely blessed that Susan kindly remembered me and even responded to one of my questions in the Senoia Locals group. She and her awesome boyfriend invited me to eat again at N&N's and my goodness...y'all ready for the winning dish? The. Whiskey. Citrus. Salmon. Oh yeah, it deserved its own line. When the waiter/waitress asks you how you'd like the salmon cooked, believe me, the only choice is "charred." I know. I suspected the fish would be blackened or jerked and just not very tasty. Because salmon, albeit a popular fish, is a pretty difficult fish to get right. Ask me how I know What arrived in front of me was something out of Food Network. My picture doesn't do it justice, I really need to bring some lights with me next time. The aroma from the dish hit me first and I already could taste the salmon. My fork met its crispy texture and it was music to my ears. Even though it was "charred" on the outside, the fish was beautifully and evenly cooked. It was tender, it was fresh, it was ingredients singing in harmony. Paired with a bed of kale salad and some mashed potatoes, my taste buds were in absolute delight. So what's the verdict? Am I going back again? Uh, yes ma'am. I'd like to try the steak soon, but I'm afraid of having high expectations. I've got trust issues with both humans and food. But, Nic and Norman's, well done. Our waitress was hard to find most of the time and didn't seem interested in making the experience enjoyable. The most off-putting part? I was reminded multiple times that the lemonade was an extra $5--as if I couldn't afford it. I wasn't worried about the price. I have always been a huge Walking Dead fan since the series premiered in 2010. When I had heard that all of the filming was done in Georgia, of course I had to look it up and see what was going on. Little did I know there was an amazing restaurant built in this tiny little town. Most times when a celebrity puts a restaurant together, the name is bigger than the quality of the food and the establishment. Not the case with Nic and Norman's. For starters, it is such a quaint place in the middle of a very tiny town. What's cool about it is it is right down the street from the Woodbury store, so you can get an amazing Walking Dead fix as well as a great lunch. When I was there, I decided to have Greg's pic which was a hamburger, perfectly cooked by the way, with blue cheese and all the fixings. Fixings. It looked amazing when they brought it out as they had the name of the restaurant branded on the top of the brioche bun. The french fries were perfectly cooked, and the sweet tea was great! You would do well to go get some lunch there before going out on one of the golf cart tours to the filming locations of The Walking Dead, but regardless I hope you must go check this place out! read more

After heating "great things" about Nic & Norman's my family and I decided to check it out. My husband got the Mexican Burger and I got 2 sides of salmon and a side of asparagus. Both... Totally lackluster. People kept "screaming" over how amazing the Mexican burger is, when talking about this restaurant, but my husband left feeling Culinarily Unsatisfied. My salmon... Meh. Two sides of salmon, both tail pieces (the worst part) and TINY. And the asparagus... $6 for 5 Asparagus Spears... I legit almost wanted to complain but I didn't because I'm kind of used to those ridiculous inflation. This is why vegetables just aren't worth it, ha! I left hungry and needing a snack pretty much immediately. So while I'm always glad I go to restaurants... Most of the time it's purely so I can cross that off my CURIOSITY list... Although they are popular right now and they have one on the menu, I'm not a fan of smash burgers. Give me a nice big beefy burger cooked to perfection. That's what I had and it was cooked exactly right, the way I asked. The other wonderful item I had was the sweet potato fries. They were soft and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Very tasty. To top off our experience, our server was very friendly and attentive. The only downside was the alcoholic drinks, which could be improved using fresher ingredients based on the ones I had. read more

We had such a great time the first time we went that we started taking the golf cart up there 3-4 x a week. Sometimes we go up for cocktails, sometimes we go for dinner, sometimes for lunch, but we always have a really good time and the food never disappoints. The burgers are my fave! For all the walking dead tourists, they have a huge spot over on the other side dedicated just for merchandise. The wait staff service is always perfect. Our Group of four stumbled upon N&M's mid afternoon on a Sunday. The hostess was outside cleaning the patio area and was very nice, and we decided to dine there. Victoria was our server and she was very prompt, friendly and professional. She recommended the brisket nachos. I would too. We had quite an assortment of entrees, I had fish and chips, which was quite good. A friend got the meatloaf, and it was stellar- I'll get it next time. Good place, good atmosphere. It was great enough to have drinks, eat good food yet also kid and apparently dog friendly too since they have outdoor seating with heat lamps. The inside is really cozy and the bar is packed full of various alcohols and a couple of TVs so they're missing there. We went on a day where there was a wait due to the annual Senoia Christmas parade and tree lighting which we knew nothing about since I live close to the city of Atlanta and my cousin whom I was visiting is a new resident of the area. We waited for a good 30 minutes when they told us 15mins but we served fairly quickly by our waiter who was awesome. I also noticed that it was so busy that there were lines to the bathroom! This place was popular for a multitude of reasons that evening and one being they had to-go margaritas for the holiday festivities! Talk about spreading some holiday cheer lol We both ordered Turkey burgers; hers came with sweet potato fries and an additional side of okra, while I had the sidewinder fries. The food was amazing! I love when avocado comes on my Turkey burger and the sauce that was paired with it was perfection. The okra was good too. You can never go wrong with some good ol okra. Like many wives, I imagine, mine is a big fan of the Walking Dead. During our summer 2022 cross country road trip, we spent the better part of the day between Savannah, GA and Birmingham, AL driving around backroads and byways in Georgia to see assorted Stranger Things and Walking Dead film locations. Arguably, Senoia, GA is one of the better places to stop for the Zombie-Phile in your family; the whole town is one of the most famous towns you've never heard of, and boasts being the filming location of dozens of movies and television shows. And nestled on the west side of the main drag through town, smack dab in the middle of "Walking Dead country" is Nic & Norman's, a restaurant that takes your classic pub menu to a new level. Somehow this decidedly touristy spot owned by actor Norman Reedus and executive producer Greg Nicotero -- complete with novelty t-shirts and coffee mugs stacked up near the entrance-- still manages to pull off a laid back elegance. The long bar with designer cocktails is complemented by low lighting, raw brick walls, and plenty of wall art featuring the cast and crew, with various clever twists. My favorite is the retouched ballroom shot from "The Shining," which upon closer inspection features the Walking Dead folks. Lots of fun, and if they sold this poster, it would be hanging in my garage. As for our meal, we sat down in the big high-backed booth, and ordered up the brisket nachos and drinks to start. The kids devoured them like hungry zombies (ok, had to go there) and I hardly got a taste. My burger with sweet potato fries was divine, complete with its iron branded bun featuring the restaurant's name. Service was impeccable; our server shared he was from northern San Diego county (Julian, if memory serves), but living in GA. Looked and sounded like an actor trying to make his way... hope he gets his break, but he was a hell of a server. Novelty restaurants can be hit or miss, but Nic & Norman's was really great... like, if I lived closer, I'd be a regular. That said, I can't imagine when we'll be back on the quiet streets of Senoia, and in a nostalgic and fleeting sort of way, that makes me kinda sad. After dinner we walked around the town and enjoyed a few sights we'd seen on TV. Couldn't help but keep my head on a swivel watching out for walkers. In retrospect, it would have been cool to meet a few stars of the show... would have made the wife's day for sure. But a fun summer day with the people I love was genuinely augmented by a great meal, and for that, I'm grateful. read more
