I try my best to stay away from grooming salons due to the health risks from other dogs/pets, so mobile service suits best for me. Our new rescue Colby had a pretty traumatic background and was very skittish and nervous. He was also in bad need of a groom! A traditional grooming salon was out of the question, so after lots of research, I reached out to Wheels Up. Josh was super responsive by text and after some thorough questions, he provided me with a reasonable quote. Josh arrived and I could instantly tell he had such a calm and welcome energy! Colby recognized that right away and while he was super scared, was cooperative and brave :) Josh took his time, allowing Colby to be around him to acclimate to him before starting the grooming process. I loved that he wasn't in a rush and really took his time with Colby. Once finished, Colby came out looking and smelling like a brand new dog! But most importantly, he was SO CALM. He genuinely looked relaxed and even settled down on the sidewalk while Josh and I chatted. Those of you with nervous dogs know how significant this is - it was miraculous!!! Josh is amazing and very patient with my two german shepherds. I used to take them to grooming salon and my female dog got very stressed and always come back with upset stomach after each sessions. Josh took his time and make sure they are comfortable before he start grooming them. He also invited me to watch them while they are getting groomed and I am so amazed by the amount of patient he has towards the dogs my dogs would never let me brush their teeth or cutting the nails, they were so stubborn lol. Josh was so great, I really love how simple and easy it was with him. Prior to this I had called about 15 other services and they would either not respond or pick up the phone. Strange times we're in, everyone forgot how to run a business...? Our dog is 12 years old and has had 2 knee surgeries, Josh made sure she wasn't jumping around and carried her up and down from the van. The total service took about 30-40 minutes and was extremely convenient and efficient. Normal groomers take hours which is also fine but honestly I don't take this for quality, she came back super clean and her coat was shiner and softer than ever. Josh's attention to detail was spectacular too, he was also very mindful of special precautions by clarifying things he should be aware of. Price for a 70lb lab mix bath was $80. Looking for a first time grooming for our Shepherd, I read a lot of reviews and called a lot of local places to find the best one for him. After seeing all the glowing reviews for Wheels Up Mobile Groomers, I decided to give them a try. I have been washing him myself all this time but needed to get some actual grooming for him. My very limited trimming and washing skills are not gonna get it done for my pups. Plus we've always been scared of taking him to actual store groomers for fear of his reaction to the other dogs. The first few minutes of meeting Josh and introducing my dog to him alleviated my fears. He was so good, kind and loving towards my pup. Like many reviews have said here, he took my dog for walk down the block to get to know him and vice versa. He then let my dog smell the van and go at his own pace to get into it. These are great signs of someone who loves animals and is compassionate. The whole process took roughly 90mins give or take which showed me how thorough he is. He even called me to ask permission for cleaning up a matted mess on my dogs backside. Making sure I would be okay if it needed to be trimmed really short in that area, very considerate for me and my dog. The end result was fantastic! He groomed him, cleaned his teeth, his ears, trimmed his nails and had him feeling & smelling like a million bucks. I am so happy and relieved to have found such a great groomer we can rely on for our fuzzy baby! I have also referred our friends to him too. One thing I can't forget to mention either is their promptness in answering calls, messages and making appointment times. That's something you only see in good businesses doing it the right way. I needed to get our dog and cat groomed but between work, the kids, the pandemic.... who has the time. I turned to Yelp because I don't think to go to Instagram yet. I was looking for the convenience of a mobile groomer to just show up and bath, groom and take care of of our dog and cat. I found Wheels-Up and noticed they didn't have too many reviews but the few they did were genuine. I had a quick response and then call with Josh. He reassured me that he and his partner had taken care to create a mobile experience unlike the rest. I was nervous about it because you tend to hear horror stories about fleas, gross conditions. But Josh took the time to tell me what sent them apart. He sent me their Instagram handle to see the inside of the van. I thought it was a great touch to be able to see and know where my pets were going to be groomed. So I set the appointment for a few days later. On grooming day, the van showed up. Josh and Stephanie were super nice. They showed me the van and then I handed over by cat. She came back a half hour later and looked beautiful. Brushed out, her coat was healthy again and her nails cut. We then handed over our dog. She came out all happy, with a great cut, wagging her tail and had bandana on. They really did a great job. Took the time to give us some advice about our pets health and were just genuinely nice folks. We will be booking them again snd hopefully never have to set inside a brick and mortar grooming place again. This is the second time we have used the services of Wheels Up Mobile Grooming. This time was for our 13 year old chug whose nails were a bit overgrown. Usually we bathe her ourselves but given her age and overgrown nails we knew it was a job for Josh. As with our other dog, Josh calmly and lovingly spoke with her the entire time to reassure her that everything would be fine. She does not like having her nails trimmed but Josh professionally and with total care trimmed her nails. He then brushed her teeth, bathed her and gently blow dried her. Hello. I am a first timer with Josh and his services! First off while scheduling with Josh initially he was prompt with his response and detailed in the services he provides. Josh arrived on time and was very sweet and gentle with my little Deuce. He never rushed him and allowed him to explore the van and the situation before even picking him up. Once Josh felt that Deuce was comfortable he picked him up and placed him in the van and was taking to Deuce and comforting him the whole time. Josh allowed us to stay by the van but we chose to go inside in order for Deuce to connect with him. My little man was done in 30 min. And was a happy camper.
