Marcelo was the associate who explained the process and answered all my questions. He was patient and thorough as we made a few changes and considered different options regarding full backsplash, 1/2 backsplash, etc. When the time came for the final measurements and then the installation, the two-man team was very professional and courteous. The stone was installed so that the natural patterns are highlighted. Everytime I look at or get compliments about the counters, I remember the excellent work from the team at Architecture Stone.

However the marble itself was not good quality. I could not pick up the pieces myself so I had someone else pick them up. Nearly every piece I purchased had a slight crack and was glued at the exact location of the crack on the back of each piece. When I emailed the sales women about this problem she responded "I remember seeing the marble when it was loaded onto the truck, and it seems that it may have been damaged during transportation. I completely understand your frustration with this situation. Unfortunately, as per our policy, we do not cover damages for pickups once the pieces are taken. However, I want to resolve this issue for you. In order to remake and replace the pieces, there will be a remake fee of $250." The person I had pick up the piece did not have a truck, they used an SUV. Additionally, I do not believe it was damaged during transportation as it was glued on the back where each break appeared. I believe they damaged it during cutting or had a slab with imperfections that they sold me. Please take caution by picking up the marble yourself and examining each piece thoroughly before leaving the store. I will not purchase anymore material from this location as they sold me an inferior product at a premium price.

I contracted with US Flooring LLC in Gaithersburg, MD to purchase and installation of Mannington…read moreLVP flooring, one piece steps/treads as flooring, white risers, and molding in all areas with installed flooring. The white risers were not installed, so I was reimbursed for this cost. Instead of the Simple steps made by Mannington, the flooring was installed with delicate stair nosing. Soon thereafter, the nail heads popped through some of the stair nosings. On some areas of stair nosings where nails were not installed, the nosings are loose. The molding was not installed around the flooring in a few areas. The amount of additional flooring ordered for the waste was high. I ended up with 3 extra boxes of flooring. For approximately 2+ months, I have tried. with no success, to address and resolve these issues, first with Marcos, then with Jose. In my opinion, their first inclination is to probe to identify reasons not to fix issues. Jose promised to speak with Carlos to schedule the repairs and leave a check for 2 boxes of flooring as a sign of good customer service. Thus far, no appointment has been scheduled and I have not been paid for the flooring he accepted back without a restocking fee deducted. I have not received a response to my email about the funds owed to me. I would not recommend this business because in my experience its business model does not support good customer service, a willingness to timely and professionally address and resolve issues upon first notice of problems, and open and honest communications. I have found that when there is an issue, US Flooring LLC will make empty promises, fail to fix issues, and has left me with an unfinished project with unstable stair nosing. Lastly, I was told by Marcos and Jose that Mannington did not offer Simple Steps in July 2024, which is not supported by Mannington's YouTube video and confirmation made by Mannington's Customer Care Center.

When signing a design contract, I was so excited to work with Cedarbrook. Right from the beginning…read moreMike made us feel very comfortable and assured us he could replace our 20 year+ s me deck and patio within our budget. He was flexible with our schedules and answered all our questions. However, once he had our deposit that quickly changed. Mike's quote for a FLAGSTONE patio was originally $12-14k and advised if we switch to pavers it would be significantly less. However, after patiently waiting for him to finalize the numbers, he provided us a revised quote for the same size PAVER patio for $24k. Mike could not provide a clear or consistent answer for why the price doubled. At first he said it is because he omitted $8k of debris removal and haul away costs. (Which was our first red flag - how does a professional contractor with 17 years' experience exclude debris removal when doing a full deck and patio replacement?) Then Mike said the quote was based on a smaller patio. We were clear from the beginning the size of the patio can't decrease. So this answer is either false or he had a glaring error on his end. In fairness to us, we asked to see the drawing of the smaller patio that supported the original quote. We patiently waited; however, Mike was unable or unwilling to provide the requested drawing. Then Mike blamed another contractor saying that he doesn't set the prices. If that were true, how did he confidently quote us $12-14k before we gave the deposit? That question is still unanswered. Mike also was unable to complete the design in a timely manner - taking over 7 weeks to provide a plan and pricing to replace our same footprint. We were told construction could be completed by the first week in December - turns out that was also false. We put in over 2 months of time, effort, and planning into this project and are now waking away incredibly disappointed and frustrated. For a company with such great reviews, this is a true shame. Despite all these red flags, it's is important to note that, until recently, we wanted to find a way to make this work - after all mistakes happen. However, having an owner not be able to take ownership of his mistakes and work with the customer to find a solution is just bad business. I strongly advise anyone thinking of doing business with this company to be very careful. Sneaking in costs and not being able to back them up is simply wrong. We clearly dodged a bullet, so for that I am grateful.
