We found the perfect little breakfast spot in Jsq. Its probably a block away from the train station, and they really have the best coffee. Me, My husband and our 5 month old have stopped by here for breakfast a few times already and each experience has been better than the last. The guys behind the counter greet you as soon as you step in. Not too many options, but everything they have on their menu is top notch. We ordered 'The Anne': turkey sausage, egg white on rye; and the owner told us the sandwich was named after this wife and introduced us to her. Unlimited refill on coffee, and they really have the best coffee. The decor is rustic and charming and has cute corner nooks that seem perfect to enjoy a good book on a rainy day. This place is as good as it gets and then pushes your expectations. You can taste the quality and love in all the food and baked goods/pastries. Shout out to my true love, the matcha scone. I've come in a couple of times for a small bite or sweet treat, and then when I heard of the weekly meal subscription plan, I was SOLD. Also, speaking to quality the food, it LASTS without spoiling in 2-3 days from pickup (which I've experienced before with other meal prep subscription plans.) I've been on yelp for years, don't really write reviews. But, hot damn, this place! I could never think that a complete vegetarian dish, mostly raw, could be this heavenly delicious. I ordered the vegetarian version of the wealth bowl, sweet potatoe in substitute for chicken. Holy deliciousness! Don't even get me started on the protein brownie I got while leaving *drools*. This is the second time I get food here- but the first time I've eaten in. I really think this place is one of the best breakfast spots in the Journal Square area. First time a group of friends and I were leaving my friends apartment right next door and stumbled upon here before trying to trek it back to the city for brunch after a longggg night out. This place really exceeded our expectations extraordinarily- we were all in his apartment for a solid hour sharing what were bought and stuffing our faces in silence. Such a great start to my relationship with this spot! Today I was a tad early for work and figure might as well take the 5 min walk from the path for a little breakfast for one. I was not disappointed. I'm sitting here thumbs on fire still sneaking in bites of my plate. I got the eggs with roasted sweet potato & like chimi. What a perfect start of a long day! I'll definitely be coming back, the space itself is warm and inviting almost like your cool friends loft. The people behind the counter were so sweet as well. Please do yourself a favor and stop by if you're even 10 mins away. Edit: i totally forgot it was card only and of course I only had cash on me for once in my life. I was in the area for jury duty. Came here around 12:30pm and ordered half the chicken salad sandwich with their homemade chicken soup. My mistake for ordering too much chicken because they are not stingy with the protein! Super nice lady at the cashier. I asked her if she has change for a $5 bill because the vending machines at the court house only take $1 bills and I'm dying from thirst, she said no but immediately gave me a $1! When I asked if I can give her a tip via my credit card, she said they don't receive tips. Overall: Good food for a quick healthy lunch and nice staff! read more

Perfect little spot! I happen to be around here for jury duty. So of course trying to look for a place for lunch that's close by so I can be prepared in case there's a rush. I called and I asked so many questions you'd think it was the Spanish Inquisition.... but she was patient and answered all my questions! I was a bit lost finding the alley, but I'll blame it on the construction and blinding sunlight. It's quite inviting when you walk in. Modern green space with lots of plants and wood decor. It's like walking into someone's home with informal dining area and communal tables. There is a breakfast bar that has outlets underneath for those who are wondering if this spot is friendly for laptop bearing kids who WFH, or for those who just need some juice for your phone while enjoying some delicious healthy lunch. The menu is fresh and quite tasty. A simple menu is the best menu. That means they focus and do those things well instead of being a "jack of all trades and master of none." I called just in time to get the last of the grassfed beef on greens (kale) with the apple cucumber salad roasted root veggies pickled carrots and avocado mash to top it off. Brain food ingredients!!! Also ordered a large coffee and stick butter in it (not exactly Bulletproof but I didn't plan on toting MCT oil around with me). Oh and the menu is keto friendly. The food is varied and interesting and always so good, the delivery people are communicative and friendly and the owner is extremely helpful. My hubby went here to grab a breakfast and guess what? The POS system that charges did not work and the breakfast was included for free. Every attempt to make a payment was declined politely and since the issue was technical it was acceptable. This was a great gesture and a treat way to establish trust with customers. Accidentally stumbled upon this health food joint from jury duty and what a wonderful surprise! I had the vindaloo veggie bowl over brown rice with a side of avocado smash. Great fresh veggies and very flavorful. I recommend if you want fresh and flavorful food. This place is fantastic, I am lucky that it is walking distance from my apt in the journal square area. I met Dave at one of his many events and the coffee shop & healthy food menu are a natural extension of the friendly atmosphere that he promotes. The drip coffee is strong but not bitter, the Bacon Egg & Cheese was toasty and savory, and the relaxing interior decoration manages to be both modern and rustic. The shop is hidden inside an underpass of the new Journal Squared tower, and it is entirely worth getting up a half hour earlier and stopping by before jumping on the PATH train. I am not sure what the appeal of a large coffee chain could be compared to this gem. read more

Finally got in to check out this eatery tucked underneath the new Journal Squared building in the Journal Square section of Jersey City. Small place with a nice feel to it. Nice menu of salads, sandwiches and baked goods. My co-worker and I each ordered a different salad and a cookie & coffee to-go. Both salads were made to order and were pretty tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Nice size too. The cookie was baked in-house and we lucked out getting it fresh from the oven. Really good. The girl working the joint was friendly and had no problems answering our questions of the menu. Looking forward to stopping in again and trying some more of their offerings. read more

Whealth is one of my FAVORITE local spots! I've brought out of towners here, come with my kid often for breakfast/lunch/coffee, and have also enjoyed working here solo. I really wanted a good coffee spot and local business to support and here it is. The honest truth is they make a great latte. I had the blt and shared a whealth bowl. Both were delicious. The btl grilled cheese was not overly melted and had perfectly crisp bacon. The whealth bowl was very delish I loved the diced cucumbers and diced apples it made it even better bowl. I had a cappuccino good coffee and properly foamed milk. If your wanted a real cup a coffee and don't want to give it to Starbucks (generic coffee) I would recommend this spot and visit again. read more

Was charged wrong prices for both my purchases. Got a small latte, charged for large. Had asked how much the scone was, and got a higher price on the receipt!
