Came here and grabbed some takeout brunch on a weekday afternoon and the place was empty when I came by. Vibes were definitely cute and cozy which was nice - it could be a solid spot to work at if I needed to. Prices were a little high for food and drink, but the presentation was solid and I overall enjoyed my meal and the drink was delicious. I wouldn't mind coming back again in the future if ever in the area again.
Semicolon Cafe is a must to try spots for brunch. They serve amazing Korean sandwiches and beverages. My absolute favorite is SOS sandwich with cold Tiramisu Latte. The seating area upstairs is beautiful. It has a small nursery too where you can get cutesy plants and pots. Expect a longer waiting time on weekends.
Came here for a weekend brunch meal. We tried their city location in the past which was pretty good and wanted to give this spot a shot. Service was generally speaking friendly though the day we went was super busy as there was a running race and it was super packed so the folks working definitely seemed a touch flustered but kudos to them for handling the crowd well. We got the bulgogi sandwich and the tuna sandwich both of which were good though bulgogi would be the one i choose over the other. Nice flavors though and the coffee we got was nice. Cute spot but again we were there on an unusually very busy day so would want to come back on a typical morning to try again. Overall, recommended.
I've been to Semicolon's Midtown East location for coffee before, but had been wanting to try their loosely Korean-inspired brioche sandwiches for quite some time. I finally had the occasion to at their Jersey City outpost, which is much brighter and more inviting. The S.O.S. sandwich isn't overtly Korean, other than for the inclusion of corn, which you wouldn't typically see in an American egg sandwich. It was very good, with a generous portion of some kewpie mayo-based sauce and a soft scrambled egg. It also wasn't quite as heavy as I expected based on its appearance.
fluffy goodness! I got the bulgogi and the BELT- i love the korean inspired flavors. They go so well with the softness of the egg and bread. I can't tell if they do something to the bread, but it's different than regular white bread. I also got the pink lady- strabwrrry matcha. The straw is edible which is super cool. The space itself is a two deck, with many people chilling with their laptop or friends. Very aesthetic place!
Good food - Crisp loaded sandwich, quick service and simple ambience. Easy on the pocket and generous portions. Calm, neatly tucked corner cafe, one street away parallel to the Exchange place walk. Absolutely Loved the sandwich, tiramisu latte was okay.

I wanted to come back cause I enjoyed it so much last year and didn't really want to try a new spot. The inside is so cute with the plants evee! The baristas are so nice too.
The sandwiches are actually 10/10, the flavor is great and very nicely filled! Service was pretty quick and the inside is very nicely decorated. Our matchas were a bit on the sweet side but were still very tasty

Great Korean-style sandwiches at a casual coffee shop. The second floor doubles as a local store selling knickknacks and plants - the hanging pots that line the window are really cute. Whenever I have extra time before catching a lightrail or ferry, I'll stop by for a coffee. The sandwiches are made-to-order, so usually there is a 20 minute wait - so relax and take a break! I enjoy the Chicken - big chunks of tender chicken, a scrambled egg, and spicy mayo... it's sort of everything I love in a toasty sandwich. The coffees are also pretty reasonable. I usually am a flat white or cappuccino guy, but when I'm craving a bit of sugar, the Tiramisu Latte hits the spot. It's topped with a bomb of vanilla cream and chocolate chips.

Ambiance is super cute, and there is also a plant shop upstairs. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a quality sandwich. Recommend the bulgogi. Avocado, and Mushroom!!! One of the BEST places in Jersey.
I came to Semicolon Cafe after consulting a local who has lived in the area for a long time. She said it was one of her favorite cafes in JC so I'm so glad I listened to her. It's now one of my favorites in the area as well. The inside is very cutely decorated with plants and they have free wifi. The downstairs section is meant for those working and the upstairs is a no laptop zone. I'm big on strawberry matchas and was so excited to see that Semicolon had one on the menu. I loved the cute twist with the edible strawberry straw and strawberry popcorn. Also, the egg and lox sandwich was incredible! I had zero expectations on the food here and had just grabbed it when I saw it on the menu as a last minute decision. It was absolutely mind blowing and honestly, I would come back here just to eat their sandwiches. Make sure you try it. Additionally, the service here is incredible. 20 mins after ordering, I realized I forgot to tell the staff to make my drink dairy free. I ran over to the counter and saw my drink was already made. I explained the situation to them and was even ready to pay for another drink, and they just made me another one with almond milk on the spot. This was incredibly kind and really sold me on the experience here. Definitely give Semicolon a visit! I promise you'll end up loving it!
We stumbled upon this spot while we were in Jersey. We were wanting something to pick us up since it was so hot walking around. Their smoothie was so refreshing. Their tiramisu coffee was sweet but so delicious, and woke us up to continue exploring! read more

Service was quick and courteous. Can he quite busy and hard to find seats even though there are alot (even a second floor). Very cute but seats are very uncomfortable after a while. Ordered: Iced Matcha Bomb (~$7): matcha latte with double shot of espresso with oat milk (+50¢) Bulgogi Sandwich (~$11): scrambled eggs with grilled corn, green leaf lettuce, stem tomatoes, marinated beef, bulgogi sauce, on toasted brioche bread Lox Sandwich (~$11): scrambled eggs with grilled corn, green leaf lettuce, smoked salmon, red onion, yogurt dill sauce, on toasted brioche bread Aya's take: Semicolon Cafe literally does not miss. Here I am 2 years later and this was still exceptional. The Iced Matcha Bomb was the perfect caffeine kick I needed to start my day; you get the intensity from the espresso and the earthiness from the matcha along with the creamy oatmilk all in one sip. I personally loved it! Both the Bulgogi Sandwich & Lox Sandwich were deliciously made from their fresh made brioche bread to everything in between. The Bulgogi was definitely the winner of the two; the scrambled eggs went so well with the savory yet sweet bulgogi. On the other hand, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs from the Lox Sandwich clashed a bit for me but it wasn't overpowering at all. Amazing spot for a quick breakfast with quality sandwiches and coffees while enjoying the plants, decor, and plenty of natural light. Highly recommend! read more

Such a cute little spot! I came in for a quick brunch! The vibe was so cozy. I got the avocado egg sandwich and it was delicious -- soft brioche, creamy eggs, and just the right amount of sauce. The caramel latte was also really smooth (not overly sweet, which I appreciated). There's plenty of seating, Wi-Fi, and a chill playlist in the background -- honestly a great place to study, catch up with a friend, or just take a break. Service was friendly and everything came out pretty quick. read more
Need a space away from the people on their laptops? Great decor for if you do want to read a book or work? Semicolon cafe is the place to visit for a short or a long time! The sandwich (Bulgogi) is made to order so it takes some time and it was a decent price for the quantity ($11 and filling). A seasonal latte around $5-$6 and you have a hearty meal for a good price. They have plenty of options as well! Seating is spacious and offers a lot of variety. Semicolon is a korean cafe focused on the aesthetics and that is tree. Tons of greenery and you can buy some plants. Upstairs has this ghibli esque tight space that is just really cute and it's filled with a TON of tiny knick knacks. Only issue I have read about is that it gets packed sometimes. A great place to try and stop by and with how the food, price, and decor. it is pretty good. if it's a slow day then cleaning might take a bit. read more
When I heard about this sandwich place opening I was pretty excited - I had the chance of trying fluffy Korean sandwiches in Amsterdam called CHUN so I was hoping for a similar experience. Upstairs had a nice plant filled space which was super cute, and our order came out in around 10 minutes or so. Not sure if it's a good study spot since there are 'no laptop' signs at many of the tables. - SOS Sandwich, 4/5: friend said it was filling and fresh. She liked the crunch of the bread and it was still fluffy - Egg and Lox, 4/5: fluffy eggs, nice crunch of the onions, lox was ok Each sandwich was neatly packed and the sandwich was not cut all through way through ensuring that the filling doesn't fall out. (Bulgogi Sando: A) - This is a petite $11 sandwich that is quite meticulously made, with a comforting bed of eggs, warmly toasted bread, and your classic sandwich accompaniments. I found the main driver of flavor coming from that fantastic mayo-based sauce and the beef to be rather light and that flavor could be enhanced to bring out the bulgogi aspect. (Overall: A) - Semicolon cafe is a cute cafe that, while you can't bring laptops, may be a great place to chat and chill to some quite high quality food and drinks with interesting flavors that is different from the average neighborhood cafe. I was in the area and I saw this on Yelp. Makes my mouth salivate just thinking about how good that bulgogi egg sandwich was. Service is great but I don't like that they have "no Laptop" signs almost everywhere. It is NOT the most comfortable place to study or get work done. I'll be back again though. read more
This is one of my new favorite places ever since moving into Jersey City. I love Korean inspired toast sandwiches with the fluffy bread, eggs, and mayo sauces and Semicolon helped bring that close to me! The sandwiches are without fail always delicious, and I like to order the iced matcha, iced dirty matcha, and sometimes an iced oatmilk latte with simple syrup and all 3 drinks are very yummy from here. Their kitchen is only open until 4pm so keep that in mind if you want to visit for the sandwiches. Otherwise, you can always visit for the drinks, and for the bingsu desserts or pastries any other time. They have special ade drinks as well which are very refreshing during the summer. Service is very friendly but can be a bit slow at times when there are lots of people ordering sandwiches. The interior is very cute, with some seating on the first floor, and a few tables on the second floor where a plant shop resides. There are 2 or 3 outlets on the first floor you could use to plug in your laptop or devices as well. I love to stop here for lunch or a drink, and then take a walk along the Exchange Place waterfront. Definitely a place to hit up regularly if you're in the area! read more

I walk by this Cafe when I go to Office and had always wanted to try the Coffee here since the place looks so cute. Finally got a chance to visit and it was pretty good. I just had a Cappuccino but it wasn't anything special. Maybe I should have tried their specialty Coffees or one of the sandwiches. They all looked so yummy but I was in a rush. Still, the atmosphere very good and they seemed to have some good options for both Coffee and Food. read more
A beautiful spot, lots of plants everywhere because I believe it doubles as a plant nursery. I had the pistachio latte which was a seasonal item and it was a little weird. It kind of tasted like I was drinking a sauce? But I guess it is pistachio with frothy milk so I got what I asked for. I also had a lavender macaroon which was spectacular. The macaroons are a great size but my complaint there is that there are so many and the workers don't know and can't tell you all of the flavors. You're kind of just guessing and that feels unnecessary. Lastly, I don't believe there is really any dedicated parking which is frustrating. This is a Jersey City problem overall but still, they may be limiting themselves to servicing whoever lives in the area because it was a hassle that I'm not sure I would put myself through again. read more
The bulgogi breakfast sandwich is one of the most interesting breakfast sandwiches I have ever had, mainly because I have never had bulgogi for breakfast before! I can't decide which component I liked the best: the sweet bulgogi, the soft eggs, the buttery brioche bread, or the umami sauce. The packaging is very thoughtful: the outer box protects the sandwich from getting smushed, with a small paper that pulls out the sandwich as you eat. The Tiramisu Latte really does taste like tiramisu. Right now, they also have a Lady Matcha Latte, which is strawberry milk with matcha. I have tried both drinks and liked both. read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally remembered to check it out. I got an iced tiramisu latte and my bf had an iced chai. We also got a BELT sandwich, chicken sandwich and matcha shaved iced. The sandwiches would take about 30 minutes so we started with the lattes and shaved ice. Both drinks really good but u really enjoyed mine. The shaved iced was good but didn't have a strong matcha flavor. More matcha would've made it even better. After our sandwiches were ready we ate them by the waterfront. Both sandwiches were really good and surprisingly filling. The staff is very nice. There's a decent amount of seating downstairs, some upstairs and some outside. Semicolon Cafe is slightly on the pricier side but we'll worth the pricing. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more
~ Bulgogi Sandwich ~ Nicely toasted and buttery brioche bread, sandwiched with fresh tomato, lettuce, folded egg and delicious Bulgogi that is mildly sweet, savory and tender. It's also topped with some condensed milk to give it an extra sweet and milky kick. Great combination of flavours! ~ Tiramisu Latte ~ My friend told me that she found the latte a bit sweet, so I asked for reduced sweetness. It tasted really nice with just the right amount of sweetness, there is a blob of mascarpone, once it's melted into the latte it tasted even more creamy. Coffee flavour is present but not bitter not very strong. I quite enjoy it. Will I be back? Yes I heard matcha bomb is good, but they were out of matcha that day. Will be back to try it! And also other sandwich flavours. read more

One of my favorite spots for a quick and delicious breakfast. They offer a wide variety of korean inspired toast sandwiches. I tried the bulgogi sandwich and the chicken sandwich. I especially loved that they use really good brioche bread. The sandwiches had a generous amount of meat, super fluffy eggs, and some lettuce. I also tried their latte & matcha latte. They were decent but nothing special. Overall, I highly recommend their sandwiches. They were super cheap as well, so definitely one of the best valued breakfast spots. read more
Yum! I just said to my husband the other day that I haven't been wowed by a restaurant in a while. Not true any longer. I had the chicken breakfast sandwich and my husband had the bulgogi. We both loved them. Mine was perfection. (Warning: if you're someone who only likes white meat, this is delicious dark meat so don't go complaining that I didn't warn you.) The flavors and textures were all so balanced. It left my taste buds and belly so happy! We also shared the tiramisu latte, which was incredible (and I immediately wished we'd each gotten our own). The sandwiches are soooo soooo good! The cafe is beautiful but super busy during the weekends. It's hard to find a seat during the weekends but not a bad place during the week if you want to work. Staff is friendly and they move pretty quick. The sandwiches are on the pricier side but can't complain too much because they taste amazing read more

Where can I order delivery? The grubhub seems closed all the time
Its possible to order on Grubhub, but its not available on weekends. You can try to order on weekdays between 11am-4pm. They get really busy during lunch hours too, so ordering off lunch hours would probably be most successful!
What is the wifi password?
Are you guys currently allowing people to sit outside?
There are no tables outside currently. I'm guessing it's too cold.

Yes, we have 3 tables with 2 seats each but it is first come first serve.
