Whataburger story
Zachery C.

I'd never heard of this place until I touched it in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have burgers, chicken strip sandwiches, Pepsi products, and Sweet Tea! Plenty of parking and fast friendly service. They take your order and your name, then bring it to the table. The avocado bacon burger on Texas toast is what I had. Would I eat here again? Yes! It's like many fast food restaurants got together and made a baby. The place was clean and busy; due to the storm, lots of people were eating there, and yet it stayed surprisingly clean! So, they have plenty of staff on hand.

The charge for cheese when the potato egg and cheese taquito already comes with cheese I substituted square cheese for regular cheese

I went through Whataburger this morning and ordered a potato and cheese taquito. I asked them to substitute the square cheese for shredded cheese and was charged $.70 why would I be charged extra money for changing a cheese when it already comes with cheese I asked the manager and she said that's just the way it is.... Not to mention typically the taquitos come with two hashbrowns inside today It comes with four.... The hashbrowns are extremely salty. Saturated in oil and soggy. Cannot even eat this today. I'm a regular at Whataburger in the morning I go for taquito a few times a week. This is the first time that this has happened....

Whataburger is pretty darn cool place for being open late nights. In comparison to In and Out here in California, they are pretty similar, except In and Out is less greasy though I think!! Whataburger also offers a larger menu especially with their dessert. I'd also like to thank the staff here. They were super nice especially for a newbie Whataburger dude like me. They really explained in detail about what their burger was about and how it would taste like! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

The long awaited right order ‍

The food was amazing, but customer service could be improved a bit at this location. The food was delivered to us fast and fresh.

Horrible! Everything in our drive through order was wrong. The receipt on the outside was correct but the food was completely wrong.

Howdy Burger

Howdy Burger

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

Smashed thin and came out crunchy on the edges. Enough toppings to keep you wanting more. Drive through attendant was very pleasant and quickly got us our food. Thumbs up!

District Burger - Oklahoma onion burger: locally sourced beef and buns

I went away from my go to which is the…read moreonion burger and decided to try one that wasn't even in the menu...called Wagnon or something like that. I think it is named after a local ranch so sorry if I butchered it. I asked what was on it... all I heard was grilled onions, jalapeños, and some sauce and I was all in!! The burger came on toast and is very similar to a patty melt if you like that style. Honestly it was a great burger. The wife and I shared some cheese and onion fries... I can't say enough about how delicious it was. My wife ended up getting the class burger which comes with cheese sauce to dip fries or your burger in....i wanted the cheese sauce on everything but I did my best to hold back. Service is always great accompanied with some local brews... honestly this is a great place to eat local beef and local brews!

It takes a LOT of reading before you can figure out what you want. I understand wanting to highlight farms that the beef is sourced from, but it shouldn't be the most prominent thing in the menu. It's super confusing. Last, the truffle fries need reworked badly. I got fries with some truffle-esque condiment squeezed randomly on top. Fries needed to be tossed in the sauce while hot, so it was a soggy mess. 1/5, wouldn't recommend those.
