I used the drive thru again and had a positive experience. They have two lanes for the drive thru so the outside lane gets personal service for payment. I was using a coupon for a free Whataburger and it didn't throw her at all. I requested no onions and extra lettuce and tomatoes on my burger. They nailed the onion and lettuce request, but either the normal tomato amount is poor, or I didn't get extra. That said, the burger was hot and tasted great. Overall, I found this to be a solid drive thru.

OK, right up front: I'm not one of Whataburger's 'true fans' as I've had very variable experiences when it comes to food quality at this chain. However, I have to give credit when I come across a well-run outlet, and this is one of the best. It's brand new at barely a fortnight old as of July 2021, but they're still hard at work shaking out their opening-week kinks. My favorite item on the Whataburger menu hands-down is their Patty Melt. For the young'uns out there, the patty melt was invented in California circa the late 1940's. Traditionally, it's a hamburger patty on grilled rye bread, topped with onions and melted cheese (often Swiss). Whataburger swaps out the rye for a griddle-browned set of Texas Toast, a couple melty slices of Monterey Jack, and a dash of creamy pepper sauce. And you know what? It works! My order came out promptly, and both the entrée and the fries were piping hot. Service is still learning its trade (cashier still learning all the buttons, for example) and the staff is kept busy keeping things clean. Two thumbs up, and here's hoping that they're able to keep up these standards long term. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Every time I have been to this location my order is missing items. Inside of the building is clean and the food is always sub-par.

We ordered a kids cheeseburger meal and a Classic Burger with fries and a drink added on. The young man working the register was very kind, and our food was ready in a little under 10 minutes. I can't speak for what it's like during busier daytime hours since we came a little after 8 p.m., but the restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. I'd definitely come back during a different time of day just to compare the experience. As for the food, I'm someone who almost always has to ask for my burger to be cooked well done (even with thin patties), so I was pleasantly surprised that my kids cheeseburger came out exactly how I like it. I also appreciated being able to customize it with extra toppings. The fries were fresh, crispy, and nicely toasted--not soggy at all. My husband enjoyed his Classic Burger as well. His only complaint was that it isn't automatically a combo meal, so the fries and drink had to be purchased separately. Other than that, his burger was cooked properly, and he had no issues with it. He also commented on how much he liked the dimmed lighting inside. After an overstimulating day, it was actually a really relaxing atmosphere to end the evening.

The burgers are juicy, perfectly cooked, and stacked the way a real burger should be. The fries are crispy and fresh every time, and that chocolate milkshake is thick, cold, and basically the perfect finish. What I love most is that nothing here feels rushed or generic -- it tastes like someone actually cares about the food they're putting out. Big portions, great flavor, and consistently solid every time I go. If you're craving a legit burger and a shake, Wayback Burgers delivers. Highly recommend.

I quickly learned why it's a favorite among the elevated crowd, the sandwiches are named after different THC strains! Before anyone asks, no, the food is not infused. The names are just part of the fun. Now, I'm a toasted sub enthusiast, and a toasted sandwich is only as good as its bread. Thankfully, this place delivers. The menu is creative, the atmosphere is laid-back, and there are plenty of little touches that make it stand out. One of my favorite surprises was the drink fountain stocked with old-school Kool-Aid flavors. Instant nostalgia! They also have a full bar and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to kick back and hang out. Don't skip the house-made "smoker snacks" either. The Rice Krispie treats and cookies are dangerously good and worth saving room for. A heads-up: parking can be a little tight up front, but I've heard there's additional parking in the back. My biggest piece of advice? Go big. The small sandwich is basically foreplay, it'll leave you wanting more. Order the large and thank me later. Overall: Great food, fun theme, nostalgic drinks, tasty treats, and chill vibes. Definitely a spot worth checking out, whether you're a cannabis connoisseur or just someone who appreciates a solid sandwich.

The…read moreatmosphere is so inviting /lots of people and lots of seating A concept I've not ever seen before in a toasted sub sandwich shop-or frankly any brand of sub sandwich location. I ordered a 4 inch essentially vegetarian sandwich. They have 4"-8" and 12" subs available and lots of choices-with unique names -mine was called "the Griefo" along with a make your own option. My sandwich had a couple of different types of lettuce, along with cucumber, red onion, and dill pickles (I requested) on a jalapeño cream cheese base. I was given a stand with the picture on it, and was advised the sandwich would be brought to me . After ordering my sandwich, I stepped across to the bar where I chose to sit on the outside barstools. The bar seating was quite full, but it was a beautiful day with a healthy breeze, so I was quite comfortable. The young lady behind the bar was very prompt in coming by to ask me if I would like a beverage and so I ordered a strawberry margarita. (a note.: they do not have frozen drinks at this time). She advised me it was the first time she had made a strawberry Version Of a margarita-but she did a great job and it was on point!!! shortly I was served my sandwich. (I didn't mention that there are options for bread for your sandwich, and I chose the herb and garlic.) I don't know where they get their bread, but it's delicious. My sandwich was stuffed with ingredients and looked and tasted really great!! What a great introduction to this cute little shop tucked away in a strip center off of W. Hero Way in Leander. In fact, it was so good that last night I phoned in an order and the three of us had it for dinner. I did attempt to use the online ordering system, but it kept notifying me that the restaurant was not taking online orders at that time. I knew it would be very risky to call in the order because I have a couple of people here that are very picky and although we found sandwiches for them, they were going to have to be a lot of alterations!!! However , I did call and a man on the other end of the phone took my order. Giving it was very intense making sure that I eliminated all the items that the two picky people in my household don't eat. In all honesty I didn't expect the sandwiches to turn out perfectly as there was a lot of background noise (sounded like everybody was having a great time there!!!). I was told the sandwiches would be ready in about 15 minutes so when I hung up I proceeded to get ready and drove over there. There is a separate area for to go orders so that is where I went. The young lady who was helping me couldn't find my order, but then I thought to tell her I phoned it in and they kept those orders in a different area up by the cash register. Sure enough there it was ready and waiting. The 8" White Widow was made exactly as requested. My son said the chicken breast in the sandwich had the best seasoning and flavor he had ever had. Next was the 4 inch Pacific blue which is a tuna melt(fresh tuna salad with cheddar cheese) and toasted too perfection. It also had to be altered, but was made just as requested. I had ordered the Griefo w/jalapeño cream cheese along with all the veggies-asked for pickles to be added, which they were! We had ordered one of the desserts, a "Gooball" which was similar to a rice crispy, treat with peanut butter, added and shaped into a ball.... how could that not be delicious???? We were more than satisfied with our sandwiches and divided up the Gooball so we all could have a taste. The perfect bite of sweetness at the end of a meal.!! We can't wait to experience their food again!!

The lovely cashier was super helpful and immediately asked if we'd been here before. Since it was our first time, she went through the menu and its entirety. I ordered the chicken, which is five wings that come with fries and a fried pickle. I added a bottle of water and this ran me a little less than $17. They put your order in for you and then you can make your way outside to one of the many seating areas. We chose to sit on the patio. I love everything about this! Especially the fries. They look like a crossbreed between a curly fry and a naked potato wedgy. My wings were not only sauced with the buffalo sauce, but they came with a ranch drizzle. I also received a small container of ranch on the side. My friend got the spicy garlic Parmesan chicken tenders (2) and a Coke on the side. The wings were meaty. The sauce had flavor, and the ranch was amazing and comparable to Wingstop ranch. I can eat those french fries all day. And the fried pickle was the added touch though a bit spicy for my liking, but it was still a great addition. I will return to try different options.

I ordered a meal in the app from my house in Georgetown for the local McDonalds restaurant (8221 Hwy 29), but when i went to pick it up, it said the order was ready at Leander McDonalds (1445 Hwy 183). "Aggggggg)!!!" Now I'm thinking I must have not changed the location, which I'm sure I confirmed it when I ordered. So from previous experience I know I must go to the restaurant that I originally chose. So I drive to Leander as I get in the drive through line and press "I'm here", the app tells me "Looks like you're at the wrong location, you should be at 8221 Hwy 29, GT." The location I just drove from. AAAAGGGHHH! As I'm trying to explain to one of the McDonalds associates, a couple entered the store with me and they appeared to be connected with the restaurant. They brought supplies and gave them to the store manager sitting in the lobby. I kind of casually mentioned to the young man that I think their app is glitching. I showed him my phone which was stuck between the two locations. He tried to correct it, he tried to test it, we even verified the location was accurate but nothing explained what happened. He asked me what I ordered and he comped my meal. I know people always give most fast food restaurants a hard time, but I wanted the readers to know that at McDonalds restaurant #33054, located at the intersection of Hwy 183 and Crystal Falls, with Lowe's and the Goodwill store, these folks care about the customer and go out of their way to make it right. My meal is probably sitting on the counter at 8221 Hwy 29. But it's ok, because 33054 is my #1 favorite. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.
