I ordered on the app and due to the size of our order was given the time it would be ready. We arrived ahead of the time given and notified them that we had arrived. The lady behind the counter quickly advised us that they were working on it and asked if she could go ahead and fill our drinks. She filled them, brought them to us and asked if we needed anything else. After a short time another employee stopped at the table, asked if they could get us anything and told us our order was nearly ready. Our food arrived, they brought napkins and ketchup at the same time, advising we were short one order of fries. When my wife asked about them later, they returned with them promptly and apologized, they had to clean up a mess in the kitchen. We were pleased with their courtesy and their intent to us taken care of promptly. I knew when we went in there was going to be a wait, but didn't expect them to work so hard to make sure we were happy. After paying at a drive-thru and waiting 3 mins at the same window, the cashier stuck her face out and asked us what we ordered. Of course reminding her she left and only to return to say "park by the flagpole and I'll bring your food to you". After 8 mins of waiting at the flagpole, I decided to walk in to check on our order; only to find out fish from a fish sandwich was waiting on a warmer and the onion rings weren't even started yet. Only giving them a poor rating because whoever runs this particular Whataburger is making employees take orders standing outside instead of using the speaker. The kids are sweating their tails off probably for minimum wage and then when placing the order you can't see the menu so you sort of have to know it off the top of your head. Came in today with my husband and 2 granddaughters. Youngest is in a wheelchair. There was plenty of room for her at the table. Staff was very friendly with her and helpful. Had a very small issue. Food is great when they get your order right. I'm local and i've noticed a huge downward shift in the way this place is run within the past year or 2. Fast food is stressful, especially with a place as busy as this. But lately the employees have been downright rude ! I love whataburger and the one in Decatur Tx is no exception. BTW the location on here is wrong. It's at business 380 and 287 service road. Anyway, 7-12-15 at 0615 I go in for my meal to be greeted by a tiny girl in glasses. She was the highlight of the visit ! I hear some loud mouth person behind me so I turn to see, an employee sporting the orange shirt of a crew member. The guy was wearing a filthy shirt that was waaaay to small. His huge gut hanging out from the bottom. The guy proceeds to get up from the table and walk to the counter. He then stretches his bare, fat , nasty sweaty gut across the counter so he can grab a cup from behind the counter. He pulls the cup and two come out so he uses his teeth to separate the cups and puts the other one back in the stack. All of this is going on with 2 managers in the floor. While this is going on the girl that greeted me, saw that I had noticed what this guy was doing and apologized. She even went as far as to prepare my food at a different station and then went to sanitize the counter where the fat guy was laying. ( kudos to her. Give her a raise. ) Like I said I love Whataburger and I will continue to go there, but this was just disgraceful. Management fail to the extreme.
