It's like the rye bread was grilled in a dry skillet and there wasn't much dressing inside the sandwich, if any. They served this with a side of ketchup so I used that to try and moisten it up. We had made arrangements with our brother, mother, and auntie to go here for lunch. They've been open just under three months now. Technically this a fusion restaurant as within these very walls is also The Scoop Shack and its owner Kyle. Leslie is the propreitor of Pecan Street Cafe. I had the #3 Hoagie with substituted sourdough bread instead of the all-white brioche bun, which consisted of a wagyu 100% beef patty topped with locally smoked and sourced all-beef brisket. A specially paired side of BBQ sauce was provided. I didn't find it necessary to use as I had ate most of the meat already before realizing the sauce was on my dish. I also had a salad with ranch dressing. For beverage I had fresh brewed coffee with half n half. Definitely will be back, would order again! Good is a good word but over-used so when my auntie tried to describe it as good, I asked for another word and I got scrumptous. They decorum is very clean, and I want to say "old cottage" feeling. I like it. There are plenty of icecreams, and baked good to be had and while I did not partake, my aunt bought a cheese cake for her and mom to share. I think they enjoyed as they were very chatting while consuming it. The walls of store are lined with various keto goods, and odd knick knacks all for sale that vibe with the restaurant but do not take away from it. For example Cowboy Candy caught my eye, as it was a type siracha based sugar treat of heat. Also catching my eye were the honey spoons. My mothers eye was caught on the Bob's Red Mill bread mixes.

This location is attached to a gas station and the menu board was all scratched, so it looked sketch. But our order was correct and the food was warm so no complaints there. My husband and I both ordered the chicken sandwich. The breading has a certain seasoning in it that reminds me of frozen chicken you get from Walmart except this chicken also had a weird shape. It was not just a chicken patty-shape, it had knarls and kinks in it. Our sandwich was made with potato bun which is my fave which hosted a horseradish/mayo-type sauce on it, but I didn't like the way the flavor of the sauce clashed with whatever seasoning is in the breading. I am going to feel confident in assuming the chicken is not breaded in house but rather are trucked frozen so the taste cannot be changed though. No biggie, I can always go somewhere else for my chicken sandwich cravings after all it IS called BURGER king. My deduction of a star is due to the actual taste of the food as it wasn't my preferred taste, even though the fries are great! But customer is on point. So if you're driving through and need a quick place to stop, not a bad pick.
