Everyone was so nice and friendly. Just a real good feeling when you're there. Our waitress was so sweet! My husband went back to the table to hand her a cash tip, after he got change, and she gave him a big husband said "have a blessed day"! Made him smile You don't see that kindness much these days from strangers. That's just what this place exhibits. We had the buffet which was EXCELLENT!! Very clean, fresh and lots of it!! Not sure how they do such a good job on that buffet but they sure do! I honestly think they should charge more for the buffet!! Great little spot for Breakfast! My Grandson and I worked the Bowie Trade Days this weekend and we found our new go to place. We passed by and seen the parking lot filled with trucks. We were visiting my husband's family in Bowie and we ate here after such a long drive from the airport. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak and I had the Fried Spicy Catfish. The meal comes with sides but you can also choose their salad bar as a side . It was a nice option even though I may not have had much room for it because the entrees were huge! This salad bar comes with desserts too. I sampled some of the Chicken Fried Steak and it was crunchy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. My Spicy Fried Catfish was delicious but it was a bit salty so if you are sensitive to salt you may want to try something else. My meal also came with hush puppies and a baked potato which were also tasty. I was even more surprised when the check came ...to feed five people it only came out to a little over $30.00! read more

This place is average, at best. I ordered off the menu rather than fighting through the all you can gorge on buffet. The eggs were overcooked. Over easy does not have thick, viscous yokes. They should be thin and runny. The sausage was cooked until completely dry. The hash browns left behind a pool of grease. We were driving from Dallas to the panhandle and we needed lunch and we stopped at Long Horn Cafe. Our family of four (myself, husband, two kids) and my parents were with us. Everyone found something to eat at the buffet. My son loved the chicken fried steak. My other son liked the fried chicken. My mom and dad loved the catfish with tarter sauce. My husband's favorite was the fried chicken. I really loved the chicken fried steak and gravy and catfish with tarter sauce. The restaurant offers self-serve ice cream. The cherry cobbler was excellent with vanilla self serve ice cream on top. My mother would have preferred the cobbler to be a little crunchy, but I thought it was perfect the way it was. The inside tables and chairs are dated, but the restrooms and the check-out look new and are very nice. The kitchen staff was making sure all of the food containers on the buffet were filled. The waitress we had was very good at making sure we had drink refills and taking our used plates. Keep an eye on the hours. I believe this is a breakfast and lunch only business. We were very happy with our lunch and would definitely visit again. Six people and drink for buffet was under $50 (two were kids). Amazing! read more
