Fantastic food. Chicken fajita baked potato and the club sandwich are my favorites. Definitely a local spot worth checking out!

It's Thursday July 21, 2022. My sister and I had just been at Ace Hardware down the road and got a…read moreglowing review from a customer about this place. We had made arrangements with our brother, mother, and auntie to go here for lunch. They've been open just under three months now. Technically this a fusion restaurant as within these very walls is also The Scoop Shack and its owner Kyle. Leslie is the propreitor of Pecan Street Cafe. I had the #3 Hoagie with substituted sourdough bread instead of the all-white brioche bun, which consisted of a wagyu 100% beef patty topped with locally smoked and sourced all-beef brisket. A specially paired side of BBQ sauce was provided. I didn't find it necessary to use as I had ate most of the meat already before realizing the sauce was on my dish. I also had a salad with ranch dressing. For beverage I had fresh brewed coffee with half n half. Definitely will be back, would order again! My mother had #4 Burger on homemade Brioche Bun with a side of fries and for a drink Dublin Cream Soda. She said it was Delicious. My brother had the #8 Sandwich which is Sliced Ribeye Steak with sauteed onions, mushrooms, and jack cheese on a bun. We were talking about Phillies and this what they suggested from their menu. For his side he took a small salad and ranch dressing. He also enjoyed a very refreshing unsweet tea. My brother tried to describe it as good and I said use another word, he then said it was savory. My sister had the #6 Burger with sauteed onion and mushrooms, and jack cheese. She also had a side salad with Ranch, and a Sweet Tea. You can't break some people of their habits and upon pressuring my sister for an alternative to good she went with "really good". My auntie had a hamburger with no modifications, except for all the vegetables which she had delivered on the side. She enjoyed mac and cheese for her side option, and for the cold drink she went with a Diet Coke. Good is a good word but over-used so when my auntie tried to describe it as good, I asked for another word and I got scrumptous. They decorum is very clean, and I want to say "old cottage" feeling. I like it. There are plenty of icecreams, and baked good to be had and while I did not partake, my aunt bought a cheese cake for her and mom to share. I think they enjoyed as they were very chatting while consuming it. The walls of store are lined with various keto goods, and odd knick knacks all for sale that vibe with the restaurant but do not take away from it. For example Cowboy Candy caught my eye, as it was a type siracha based sugar treat of heat. Also catching my eye were the honey spoons. My mothers eye was caught on the Bob's Red Mill bread mixes.

The food here is wonderful! Homemade and fresh. Desserts and old time sodas bring back nostalgic…read moretimes!! Check their hours though, they are not open everyday

As…read moresomeone who appreciates attention to detail, I was thoroughly impressed by how pristine the entire establishment is--everything from the dining area to the restrooms is maintained to an incredibly high standard. Beyond the cleanliness, the atmosphere is warm and exceptionally welcoming. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the owners go out of their way to ensure every guest feels truly taken care of. It is rare to find a place that balances such professional upkeep with a personal, "home-away-from-home" feel. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a quality experience. The food is great. The plates are small ( which is fine ) but it would have been nice to have a bit of room to cut up my food , and I'd add a second side to anything that's not a sandwich, but even with just one side ( steaks get two ) you don't leave hungry. ( extra sides are 4 a piece) The only other suggestion is a basket of homemade bread would be perfect for this establishment . It's a southern food , steaks and gravy type place. A basket of bread would make it perfect . Great place though . We would go out of our way to stop again.

I wasn't very hungry but needed some of those bull beans with sour dough bread. My husband ordered a 8oz filet and those yummy loaded mashed potatoes . I seriously should have taken some beans to go for my dad to try. We love the atmosphere and smiling faces. They were busy and rightfully so! Next time, I plan on trying those fried pork chops!!

We had coffees that were typical diner coffee and pretty good. We ordered the chorizo burrito, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and the skillets. It was all hot fresh and very good. I will definitely get that burrito again and the hash-browns were so good! Crispy and buttery. We hung out for a little bit catching up (they had slowed down and no one was waiting) and they didn't try to rush us and still gave us great service. I will definitely try this place again while in the area!

This is the hottest, and best breakfast in the Wise county area right now! Ambiance matters, and the radio had Dolly, Willie, Waylon and Hank in the first 30 min! For a guy like me, I'm sold! You just can't beat the Solid Gold country! Who would've thought I'd have a culinary first in Decatur, Texas. I'll be honest, I've never even heard of tzatziki on an omelette, but I'm here to tell you... I'm here for it! You want a Gyro meat omelette, cooked to absolute perfection, a 1/2 a mile high, with Gyro meat in it... and tzatziki sauce too? If this is your flavor profile, this place is worth the drive! In the words of my wife, and to the waitress and the owner... this is the Best omelette I have ever had! As a certified snob, who has eaten omelettes on at least 3 continents, she knows what she's talking about! And, as the waitress told us... the biscuits stand on their own! Stellar! Go look at the picture! I've said it a thousand time on YELP! Simple food, done well, by people who really care, is a formula that cannot be beaten! 5 STARS PS.... wait for the buffalo chicken sandwich review which I'll be looking to post in the next week... I cannot wait!!
