the food sucks. service is terrible, no communication. and the place is overall dirty and disgusting.

The soft drinks taste like slime! Every time! Something is growing in their drinks machine. Does anyone else notice this weird slime taste?

They got my order wrong and when I went back to get it fixed they gave me a half-assed sandwich as a replacement.

This location seems to serve the right hand lane of the drive thru alot faster than if you go in through the normal drive thru line. Which isnt cool when the people 2 cars behind you end up getting food before you do. Tonight I visited this location to get home to cold food and not to mention but before i could even open my front door, the drink exploded in my hand because the employees cant put a lid on a drink right. All over the entryway to my house, great now i gotta clean this up before i can even sit down and eat my cold food. read more

This place is consistently terrible. Order is wrong 9 out of 10 times. Always takes forever and the quality is well below average.

Whatabummer. Waited for 20 minutes, while inhaling gas fumes from the other 9 waiting cars, to get my bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The young man who handed me my order looked half asleep and didnt even make eye contact. The burger was smashed like someone sat on it, and it was warm at best. The bacon tasted like it was made with an artificial bbq flavoring and ruined the entire burger. When I initially saw the double row of cars parked in the drivethru, i thought i was going to get the high quality Chic Filet experience. Instead i got to waste my gas idling for 20 minutes, while breathing in gas fumes from all the other waiting cars...all that just for a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. WhataWaste of money for terrible customer service and terribke quality of food. I used to LOVE WB for their freshness and quality but i will never go back. I will give my business to P Terry's if I want a good burger and efficient service. read more

For most service related businesses I've found service is dead. But, that's not the case here. Ashley is always very friendly, even at crazy hours of the morning. I don't visit often, but even after coming to the window maybe 4 times over 2 months, Ashley already remembers my order. Very refreshing service these days. And, the food is quick! read more

NO STARS DON'T COME HERE. I said my order four times and the girl got the ENTIRE order wrong. She added on an orange juice, gave me the wrong burger, AND gave me the wrong shake flavor. Decent fast food. The burgers are larger than other fast food competitors. They serve breakfast until 11am and the regular menu 24/7.

Prompt, polite service, clean, decent burger for fast food ...... however, as many have noted - they got my order wrong. I have never pledged my patronage to Whataburger, so this is my fault, but cheese doesn't come on burgers unless requested and paid extra for. That's a little disappointing. read more

I occasionally eat at this fast food burger joint. Yesterday, Linda waited on us and I couldn't be more pleased. Friendly, helpful, service. (I guess you have to hire the more elderly workers to get someone who is pleasant and does the job correctly. So I have been going back cautiously and I have been pleasantly satisfied for the last few months, but this month I have stopped by twice late, near midnight, and there is this one drunk guy at the window that is just at the window all drunk or high and acting strange and obnoxious, I can't really tell if he is high or drunk, so if you are reading these reviews owners and managers, it was Wednesday 10/2 near midnight. So the last four times I have visited Whataburger (over a three year period) my burger is served room temperature. Twice in a row this has happened to me at the Buda location. It has also happened in Temple and San Angelo, Texas. The hot and juicy Whataburger I grew up with is no more. If they can't hand me a hot burger there are plenty of options nearby. Sorry to see this chain grow to the point that there is absolutely zero quality control. I am writing this review within an hour of walking away from my booth and leaving an uneaten double meat with cheese. Manager: If you bother to read this, I know a bit about food safety. I have no idea how long this burger patty had been sitting out at room temp. It is a risk to my health to eat Whataburger. read more

This has to be the slowest restuarant that Whataburger owns. At midnight you would expect them to be slow. Only because the value of customers that come from the bars. But knowing this from previous sales at these locations you would expect that the research would pay off. But you can forget that. This location is the worst I have seen even when there are no customers present. I would expect it to take time to cook up a fresh order but 20 + mins. That's crazy. Also you have staff that talk and mess around with each other. That wastes time already. I would serious consider looking at the management at this location. read more

This is the worst Whataburger in central Texas. The order is short often, the onion rings and fries only go 1/2 way up the containers and they double charge you to what a size your order. The ring up the whatasize then charge you again for the difference in large fries and a large drink. Nice racket they've got going. Save yourself and go to Kyle! read more

This location only.....drive-thru - Three times in the last 6 months and the only 3x I've been there this year, my order was wrong. I ask for ketchup & mustard on the side and I get one or the other anyway. I'm not going to this one anymore. There's no sense in checking my order before I drive off because this is not really fast food as the line wait is so long and driving around for the "order fix" would gobble up my lunch break time. :-( read more

I eat here a lot but I have never left a review. While all Whataburgers are good, this one is better than most. I use to drive past 2 other Whataburgers to eat at this one. Staff is always friendly, service is fast, and hamburgers are really good (although chicken strips are good too). I usually go inside, but recently I have needed to get home quickly so I used the drive through. I got great service there too. I also love that you don't get forced to pay for cheese unless you want it. I hate going to most "hamburger" places and you have pay for the cheese whether you want it or not. read more

The Whataburger here in Buda Texas SUCKS SO BAD! They screwed up my order AGAIN! Worked really hard today. Just wanted a cheese burger all the way and onion rings. That's all. The girl at the window even repeated my order twice. How can you f that up? How? Usually check my order before I leave. Was in a hurry and didn't tonight. I got home and what I got was a damn burger with only pickles, cheese and mustard. A damn kiddie burger for Pete's sake! And these people want $15 an hour? Christ on crutches! First time in Texas and first time eating at whataburger. The service was terrible and the food pictures upfront is nothing like they serve. The burgers tasted bland and my mom ordered the chicken sandwich and it was cold and the bun was disgusting. Two months after, I decided to give it another try, it was still the same service and the same food. Would not recommend anyone coming in here. PS there's a McDonalds 5 seconds away, recommend going there instead. read more

Look, I LOVE Whataburger, but not this one. I visited last weeks on my way to work. I ordered "The number 20, sausage with a medium Coke." That was my entire order. The first stupid questions back was "Do you want that with cheese?" Well, since it is on the menu as 'Taquito with Cheese', I respond "Yes, if I didn't want cheese, I would have asked for it without cheese." When I pull up to the window, the shift manager gives me my drink and bag and off I go. Only to discover two minutes later that they gave me tea instead of a Coke. I check the taquito and, yup, NO CHEESE! I go back and go inside to ask for replacement and ask to see the manager. That is when I realize that the person that screwed it up was her! Anyway, I state my problem and the first thing out of her mouth was 'Do you have a receipt?' I'm standing there with a Whataburger drink and a taquito that she gave me not five minutes earlier and she wants me to prove that I purchased it! I blew my top at that point. Stopped in for a quick bite. The girl took my order. Friendly enough but keep interrupting me to ask her official list of questions instead of listening. The total was $7.03. I gave her $10.03. She couldn't handle it. Tried to give me $2.97 because that's what the computer said. I corrected her and she just shrugged and said, "I already closed the drawer." Blank stare. I am very sad to do this, this is my first ever 1 star review. I would normally never do this except that the only thing I received was cold and burnt. I work in the service industry as do many of the people I know, after working a 12 hour shift there is nothing better than a Whataburger with cheese and some fresh salted French fries! Well not tonight, I arrived at 1:30 just before the drunken 2am rush and I reached in the bag to get those burning hot fries for the road home only to find them luke warm. Even then I thought who cares I'm going to get home and have a burger with the cheese melted into the bun and the meat and that didn't happen either I wound up with a cold dried out sand bagged burger. I felt like it was a burger I had ordered at dinner and the we got so busy I didn't get to it until an hour later. If I wanted that then I should of just got some good from work and left it in the window, at least that food is free. Oh well hopefully next time I can get that burger I worked all day for. read more

Wanted to give a big kudos to these guys and gals. I had a non-traditional request to pre-order a large number of taquitos to be ready at 5:30am the next morning. The staff didn't bat an eye and set it up for me. The taquitos were ready on time and they even split the different kinds into different bags with stickers. Their service is lousy. Waited almost 10 minutes for my food, the fries that I had gotten were oily and looked really disgusting. I didn't even want to dare put those fries in my mouth at all, also my burger had onions in it so my whole order was ruined. I decided to notify an employee who was a so called "team leader" named Gamble or Babino? Once I got the employees' attention I had asked him if I could get a remake of my food, so Gamble or Babino what ever his name was took my food waited almost 5 mins and from there I just got tired of waiting. As I got up I saw the manager and I had told Barry everything that was wrong, and had asked for a refund and went on with my day. NEVER going to eat at this location, i'm pretty sure the Austin locations or the Kyle location will do a much better job with my food orders. read more
