They recently renovated and I got my son chicken bites. They were hard as rocks, burnt, and very dry. (Over a week ago) I gave them grace and said it was probably just a one time experience. Nicest Whataburger I've been to, and despite a long wait time, I was able to pick up my pre-ordered food with relative ease.

Do not order from the app and get it delivered. I made that mistake and the driver stole my food. I have called the customer service and was basically told they will try to get my refund to me but I needed to contact the delivery service I ordered from. I ORDERED FROM THE WHATABURGER APP. It's a chain, if you have been to one good Whataburger, then you should know exactly what you will get at this one. Some are better than others, this is a good one. Why you ask? Spotlessly clean Well maintained store Fresh french fries No upcharge for onion rings in the combo Helpful and friendly staff Burgers exactly as you ordered, up quickly Manager is walking around in the background making sure everything is moving smoothly. OK Whataburger what can you say, Texas classic. No sadly since the family is sold it and it has gone into a corporate mode... It seems like services suffered. What are used to take 10 to 15 minutes to get now takes you half an hour to 45 minutes. And it's not exactly a fine dining restaurant that you'd expect to wait that long. Stopped at this Whataburger while traveling to Austin. I went inside to order breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed. I can't rate the food because I left without ordering anything but the customer service was horrible. I get there and walk in and there is no one at the register to take my order. I waited a little while and there were two manager looking personnel having a conversation by the drink station. They both looked up at me and acted like I was not there. They could have said someone will be with you shortly and I would have been happy. Then one of them walked to the registers so I thought I was going to get some help but he walked right by and didn't even look in my direction. Finally two people from the back walk to the registers wearing the most stained and dirtiest looking Whataburger shirts I have ever seen. One finally ask me what I would like while the other one shouts over him and me talking to the customer behind me. This place is horrible (and I am a Whataburger fan) so I left and went to Mc Donald's. During my first visit to Texas, I knew that eating at a Whataburger was a must. I ordered the Double Meat with fries and an extra side of onion rings. I thought the burger was good--soft bun, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and some juicy meat to bring it all together. For what it was, I thought it was great. And portion size? Very good. The fries? I thought that they tasted like McDonald's fries. AMAZING. If I closed my eyes at ate fries from McDonald's and then ate fries from here, I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference. Either the fries are that good, or my taste in fries are questionable haha. As for the onion rings. LOVED EM! Crispy crunchy outside, soft and smooth onion on the inside. What more can I ask? I was rubbed in the wrong way when I found out that they charge extra for ranch. However, their ranch is probably the best ranch I've ever got from a fast food establishment. MONEY. WELL. SPENT. GREAT LOCATION Let's face it, Austin's traffic is a disaster. Even as far south as Slaughter all eight lanes on the highway and 4 on the access roads can be at a stand still. At least for now this location, just two minutes south of Onion Creek is totally painless to get into on southbound I-35. I ordered a burger and asked them to add jalepeno ranch. I've lived in Texas my whole life, been to wataburger a few hundred times and always order my burger the same way. They told me I would have to put it in the side. I told them that I'd always had it put on the burger and she said let me see if I can do that. She tapped a few buttons and and added it to the burger. When the burger came out there was no jalapeño ranch. They also gave me a medium fry when I ordered a large and messed up my wife's order as well. When she went to bring it to their attention, they explained that they had to charge for jalapeño ranch and it MUST come on the side now. I said I didn't understand why they didn't just tell us that from the beginning and she just shrugged and said well I have to charge 80 cents if you want jalapeño ranch. I told her to just return the meal and give me a refund. I asked for a corporate number and she just rudely said 'you'll have to look it up on our website'. I asked if she was one of the managers and she was. I asked if there was another manager there and she just rudely said 'there is but she's just going to tell you the same thing.' I said ok I'd like to speak with her. When the other manager came out she asked if I was the one who wanted the corporate number, I said yes, she handed it to me and said nothing else. I told her what happened, told her about the rude manager, told her I didn't understand why they didn't explain the policy at the beginning and she said literally nothing. She just stared at me. I said I just thought you would want to know the bad experience I had and she just stared at me. It just proved that they do not care at all at wataburger anymore. Also, when I came in, there was no one at the counter and I had to wait a bit for someone to wander up from the back of the kitchen. Burger wasn't piping hot, but it wasn't cold either. Basically, it was comparable to any other fast food burger And it seems that most Whataburger locations are now rationing condiments. On this visit, I had to request lemon packets for my tea. (Most locations used to have them right next to the sweeteners.) I was then quizzed as to how many I needed -- and they were counted out to me. When they brought my order to me, they didn't even bring the condiment tray. They asked me if I wanted ketchup, then brought back two ketchup packets.
