I have only ever visited Grinders Lincoln Village. The dessert case will have you drooling! Ho-ho cake, carrot cake, the best no-bake cookies I've had! Sometimes she makes chocolate covered strawberries, but the iced cookies are always a staple. The lobster bisque is thick & delicious. I can't not get Greek salad which has fresh ingredients and my husband loves the cheddar mac. Oh, yeah-and they have good sandwiches too! This location specifically will surprise you. This Grinders is amazing. BEST grinders in town hands down! Same owners for as long as I can remember, the staff barely has any turnover. Great service, super, super clean store. They offer more sides and more deserts then any other Grinders in town. They even have coffee and can make various coffee drinks. Lots of room to sit, great food quality, great drink service, the soda was never flat, never tasted wrong. I spent 10 years going to this location, and once my office moved away from the area, I realized just how great this location was. The food is very consistent and good. The place has been clean every time I've been in. Great prices, they have coupons in Valpak, and they have a daily special! The outstanding part is the service!! Every employee I've talked to has been great and seems to put in extra effort to make sure you're taken care of and happy with your order. Just an example...I called in an order and the lady on the phone says "no green peppers, right?" She was right! I usually do and this time I forgot to ask. We arrived Sunday after what most would consider the normal lunch hour. There were plenty of workers and the dining room was clean. I was impressed with the 50s look and the TVs. They had the NCAA tournament playing and free WiFi. The service was quick and they baked our sandwiches extra crisp as requested. The sandwich was fresh, hot, and delicious while the toppings plentiful. We had a side of broccoli salad that was very good and of a good quantity. I had a soft drink and the mix seemed normal. A real nice young man delivered the food. We found the prices reasonable. My only suggestion for improvement is for the cashier to welcome every customer as opposed to simply asking for the order. We love grinders! It's a neighborhood favorite with a lot of variety. We go here regularly and have never been disappointed. The sandwiches are always freshly baked and the ingredients are fresh. We especially love the combo deals paired with the Tortellini pasta salad. Nice service if you dine in, but you can also call ahead and order carry-out. My favorite is the Chicken Cordon Blue, and my husband's is the Italian. Salads are also good, but if you're a culprit of stealing a bite of your husband's sandwich, you should probably get your own! Always clean, brightly lit and with prompt order taking. Plenty of spacing between tables allows you to feel comfortable at your seat. They also offer counter seating. But for me it is all about the steombolis which could not be improved upon. I have tried several, my favorite being the pepperoni. Check your order before you leave. The quality at this store has gone down tremendously. Three times I have got the wrong sub or size in the last couple months. Not complained about it until now. Ordered a 10 inch sub. Got home and noticed it was not correct. Called and Alyana (Manager) said they would make another. Another 10 min drive back to and got there to pick up the sub. Manager said that I have to turn in the other sub before getting the correct one. I said for my inconvenience I was going to keep it (knowing they will throw it out anyways). Great first experience going to this place. Got the daily special 6inch tuna combo and the grinder was very filling and delicious. It came with a drink and nicely sized salad choice. I got the coleslaw and I didn't eat it at first because I was full from the sandwich, but I did enjoy the coleslaw hours later. They have a variety of salads and they all looked fresh and good. I went with a friend around 1 pm and there was a steady stream of customers. Service was very good and the workers were all friendly, especially one of the owners that was there at the time. My friend got the ho-ho and carrot cakes and both were yummy from what I tried. You can tell they take time to make sure there are plenty of food options available and they keep the display cases full. Definitely will try it again! read more

Stopped in for lunch now that we have moved back to cbus to our FAVORITE W.g grinders...(we tried the one in dublin since we moved back...not so great...) BUT today we said coming to this one was worth the drive...our food was fantastic as always..but what sets this location apart from the other we tried is the customer service...this sweet young lady took notice of my boyfriends shirt and took the time to draw these lil pictures on our wax paper before she brought our food...I was having a bad day...she just brightened me up and made me smile...small things like this is why we come here...totally made my day read more

I've never been a big fan of W.G. Grinders, but after they posted a woot coupon i decided to go to this one for lunch. As it turned out it was a corporate coupon and not supposed to be used at this location but the owner was very nice and talked to me about some stuff and ended up accepting the coupon which i really appreciated. I understand what its like to run a business, and anytime i interact with store owners with good customer service skills it makes me very confident they care about their product and want you to have a good experience. Anyways, i got the italian stromboli and the stumpenali (no idea how its spelled) salad. I thought the salad tasted a little dry, but it was my first time having it so maybe it tasted exactly how it was supposed to and i'm just not a fan. The Stromboli however was great. It almost tasted like idealized rolled up pizza, and i quickly ate the whole thing. All in all i was very happy with the experience, and glad i got the chance to connect with the owner. I've been to a couple of their locations, but this one the most by far. It's a pretty good place for a good sandwich, though it's hard to review a spot like this for me, I go in usually for the same sandwich, I don't get sides, and that's about it. So I don't have much I can say. The staff is fairly friendly, the food is great, as long as you don't mind not having plates, and I don't really mind that. There's not much else I can rate it on. This and the Grove City store are my favorite Grinders locations. Fantastic food, best service ever, and yes, they have the conveyor belt ovens. Brad's right; if it doesn't go through an actual oven on a conveyor belt, it's not a grinder. That's sacrilege, blasphemy, bad ju-ju, whatever you want to call it. What I thought was really great, aside from the lady who took my order was when I got home I found the grinder open-face and a small bag of lettuce. Imagine my surprise while skipping around the Westside to discover this gem. Havent been to Grinders since the days on campus. Remember how campus was back in the day? Before those pricey condos and high rises? I had to go in get a nostalgic feeling of the days when I could eat a turkey Reuben,cheddar mac and slurp down a frosty cup of root beer and then study. It seems to be what I remember red cushion chairs and that smell of bread,spices and maybe the dressings in the bread. The look,smell and feel felt the same. The menu is still divided into meat and veggie sandwhich choices. Im sure all diets can find an enjoyable meal.Could I eat the same meal and still stay wide away for a second shift job? I got my 10 inch turkey rubeun and water. It look and smelled the same, however the taste wasnt. The meat and cheese were a bit off balance. The turkey was surprising a bit sweet almost like honey turkey and the chesse was just ok. Not the creamy goodness I remember. It tasted like the meat and cheeses were from a grocery store brand. Was it high quality meat and cheese before I really dont remember? The honey turkey and the non flavorful cheese just didnt mesh well. The coleslaw was coleslaw not creamy not dry but missing something.It just tasted different. Maybe my palette has changed. The bread was amazing just like I remembered baked bread with dressing baked inside. Service and cleanliness was outstanding.Overall Im glad I went it gave my found memories of my campus days.
