Ben at the Main Street branch was so kind and helpful- talked me though everything in such a well-informed and friendly manner. Another employee helped us out in a major way beyond the call of duty. Oh, and everything was on sale, too. Love this place! read more

Had some issues with my Powerfly4 (rear wheel) I'd purchased it in Kamloops due to the scarcity in Vancouver. I took in for what looked like a warranty issue and all of the staff were great, with Andrew going above and beyond, and pulling a wheel out of stock to remedy the situation. Huge appreciations, as the bike is my literal main source of transportation. Thank you read more

Brought bikes in for Basic Service package and was quoted 2-3 days but ultimately took 10 days to get my bikes back. They also didn't complete any Basic Service package on one bike and completed the more expensive Standard Service package on my other bike. read more

Do yourself a favour and go to Bikes for All which is close by. Especially if you value your time and don't like to be without your bike for days on end. West Point doesn't answer their phones. They take 4 days to reply to an email. And when you wait 45min in line to purchase a bike part and leave the bike there to get installed you wait 5 days and wait 45min in line to pick it up only to find out they didn't install the part but "decided" to install something different. And sure they say, "no worries we can put on the right part for you. You just have to wait in line again and start the whole process over. How about do it right the first time and if you do it wrong own it and remedy it ASAP. It's a part that takes less then 10 min to install. read more

Wanted to thank Randy and Andrew for helping me with my first road bike purchase! After doing some research on road bikes, I found one in stock at their Main St. location. Due to COVID their hours are significantly reduced and pretty much by appointment so I would recommend emailing or calling ahead of time. They were patient and helpful from the moment we had our first phone conversation. I've been to several other shops to look at bikes, but their staff were definitely not as helpful and willing to answer my questions. I showed up for a test bike ride and the experience was great. They let me test ride two different frame sizes even though I only reserved one over the phone, switched out the pedals for me, and even arranged for someone to stay late the next day so that I could pick up my bike after my tires were changed. When I showed up the next day to pick up an hour earlier than expected, not only were they fine with it, they even helped me install my bike rack on my trunk (after cleaning the surface of my car too). I didn't even purchase the bike rack from them. Truly appreciative of their consistent and friendly service as well as their easy-to-understand explanations. Not sure if this is a one-off promotion, but they offer PST exemptions for additional purchases on the bike on the date of purchase, as well as 15% off all accessories within one month of purchase. read more

I called them on a Saturday re: my 12 or so year old hybrid Devinci bike, The hydraulic disk brakes (Hayes Nine) had become soft and seemed like they needed to be bled. I talked with Tim the Manager who was very helpful and explained why they should simply be replaced which another bike shop had told me but I just didn't feel comfortable with them. I took my bike in and talked with Sara who explained about the new brakes, what model to choose, what would be replaced, what it would cost (about $250 with taxes), etc. They replaced the brakes with Shimano M-395/396 and used the rotors already on the bike which saved spending an extra $50. And, the bike was ready later that day! Highly recommended. read more

I got a flat tire and went to West Point Cycles, only to be disappointed that they were closed. To my surprise, an employee saw me and my partner trying to figure out where to go and let us into the shop! They not only fixed my bike and tuned things up, but they were also incredibly kind and gave great service!! We were so grateful by the unexpected kindness and felt they really went the extra mile! We will definitely be recommending their services to all our friends and coming back again! read more

Visited their shop, ordered a child seat four days ago, they said it would take 48 hours to arrive. We have looked at the specs with one of the staff, bought a bike rack from them with their installation service. They said they could do it on spot once the child seat arrive. So I was happy that everything will be done on Friday and I could ride on Sunday with my daughter to the kids festival. Calling them on Friday to see if the child seat was arrived. First man on the phone said they needed to check and called me back. No news after two hours, I called them again. This time was a woman, she said she will checked and called me again. No news at all. Saturday came, called them at 11:30, finally they said the child seat arrived. I went there at 3:30pm, thought that they could do everything on spot. The man said it would take a few days to get it done. I was screwed, thinking I should do it myself. I asked if I could borrow some tools and get it installed myself. The man refused and said that is their policy. Once again feel frustrated, then I said fine, I took them home with my bike and with only one short bulgy cord. I knew I could not count on them. Biked halfway home, fell down twice, looking at the box and saw that was not the model I ordered from them. I ordered a Yepp Nexxt Maxi, and they gave me a Yepp Maxi Easy fit, which is an old model and the crucial thing is, It needs an adapter to fit on the rack. I felt hopeless and called them after I headed home. No solution or apologies from them. Man on the phone said they would take it back and refund. I was too frustrated to talk and just hung up. At the end, I bought a used Yepp adapter on craglists and installed the child seat by myself last night. Lesson learned, never shopped in a place that won't take their customer seriously. Empty promises, wrong orders and lack of apologies are not a successful way of doing business. read more

I bought bikes for my kids here (and one for myself at another bike store). The level of customer service at this store is hands down 100% above any bike store I've been too. So impressed!!! read more

Terrible Customer Service. I went to West Point Cycles on East 2nd Avenue on Mar. 15, 2019. I inquired about a travel bike bag rental and the lady there said it was $90/week. I told her it was cheaper on the website, it shows $75/week. She said $90 is the price now. I told her that I came there because the price was comparable with others and asked her to honour the price on the website. She said No. I was in shock of how terrible her customer service was... so I walked out. There are many bicycle shops in this city, go to one that deserves your support. read more

I was in there the other day. Didn't end up buying a bike but Jack was super helpful, knowledgable and very patient with me for like an hour. I would definitely recommend these guys. read more

I was looking for a bike to bike touring across Canada. I found a Trek 520 at this shop and, being kind in a rush, I asked for the bike to be ready by the next day. They said "ok, that's fine!". Everybody I met there was super nice. But when you don't have time to prepare a bicycle properly, don't do it! Firstly, they didn't even advised me to set up stronger tires, the ones that EVERY bike-tourer use (got two flats tires after only four days). My fault, due to lack of experience, but I think they should have to advised me about it. Secondly, a screw from my rear pannier rack fell off. I lost it. After four days... Not tight enough, I guess... Super annoying when you're in the middle of nowhere. But, most of all, my gears were always jumping by themselves. Sometimes being quite dangerous, when happening while I was standing up on the pedals. A very experienced mechanic in a bike shop in Thunder Bay eventually figured out what was going on. Firstly, the rear derailleur's cable was too long and touching the pannier. Secondly, the goddamn shift levers were inverted. Seriously, what the fuck?! He told me he has never ever seen that in his entire career. I sent the shop a mail to let them know about that. A month and a half ago. Still waiting for an answer. Selling bicycle and being kind with client is a thing. Being professional is another. Everybody can make mistakes, but the least you can do is to apologize when you are advised. read more

I recently bought a bike here and the service was very good and friendly. They had to order the particular bike I wanted in for me as they didn't have it on the floor (it was a cruiser bike) and it took less than a week. I had previously bought a couple of road bikes from their other location on 10th and was happy but this location is way closer for me. I have recommended WPC to friends and everyone seems to report nothing but good feedback. Thanks for my new wheels and love the location! read more

Great Bike shop. Helped me take off my pedals to pack my bike for the train. They also sold all the tools I needed to do it myself next time and taught me how to use them. read more

I have been to the Main street, Mount Pleasant location to service my bike before. They were super helpful and was very creative in helping me with my rear fender issue. Recently, I went to the same shop to look for a bike. They were super helpful and super friendly and did very well in explaining to me about the different bikes they offer. I didn't get the bike because the handle and the brakes were kind of out of reach for me. The sales person captured my contact info and then later emailed me that they can do a swap out of the handle bar and help me adjust the brakes for a better reach. However when I went back to purchase the bike, it was sold. All in all, just want to let you guys know that you are awesome at customer service and I had a great experience at your store. Keep up the good work. Thanks! Keep up the good work! read more

Adding to the 5 stars. Came in just as they were closing with a flat I got commuting back home and they took care of me right away. I was super rushy and they were totally quick and also very conscientious, pointing out that my current rim/tire situation was sketch and should be repaired too (without being too pushy or salesy, just concerned about safety). Staff I dealt with, including the young man who did the actual repair, were fantastic. Great addition to the neighbourhood. read more

Now they now have a shop close to East Van where we live. Right off the bike route. Yay! They helped me choose a new bike (this is my second purchase with them) and I couldn't be more satisfied. Sara helped narrow my choices to something that fit my needs and the price was under budget! The bike was prepped and ready before they said it would be and you can't ask for better than that. I never write reviews...but since there aren't any figured may as well. Thought I would pop in after seeing all the new signs on the bike route. I needed a couple things anyways. Nice building... but horrible service. The first sales person ignored me to chat with her friends (short blonde) and then when what looked like the owner (taller dark haired guy) came out from the back he just tried to upsell me on the items I actually needed and just wouldn't stop talking. In an area where there are so many shops I am certainly going to skip this one where they don't like hearing themselves talk so much and get you what you need. read more
