Bacon egg roll, chilli marmalade aioli
Cindy K.

Nothing makes me happier than a good breakfast in the morning. You'll find me in a nice cafe enjoying my much needed almost medicinal for all its therapeutic qualities breakfast. West Juliett is one of those cafe where I can forget everything and get lost in my tasty breakfast. The mushrooms, caraway, kasseri, burnt onions, herbs on toast was generous. I had mine with extra sausage which turned out it wasn't necessary. There were lots of mushrooms that were perfectly seasoned and deliciously paired with burnt onions. And I love, love, love the chilli marmalade aioli in the bacon egg roll, chilli marmalade aioli. So tasty! The place itself is spacious and airy. There's a good selection of pastries and sweets. And oh, they also do great coffee! With warm service to top it off, no wonder this place has quickly become favourite breakfast/brunch spot for a lot of people.

So this place is a winner! I'm seriously in love with this place. I know, it's a big call to make, but every time I come here I wish that I wouldn't leave. Starting out with the coffee. It is great. And consistent. Every time I'm here I always get a good cup of coffee. You know that it's good when you order more than one cup. Or even more than two cups. They only concern is that the wait staff don't really know that much about the coffee - but when it's good that doesn't really matter. And now the best part of this cafe, the food. Personally I think that lunch here is better than breakfast. The sandwiches for lunch are awesome. My personal favorite is the 12hr cooked pork. So good! But if you are feeling health they also make good size portioned salads. If you are here for breakfast get the Benny, if they have it on the specials. So if you are in the area it is worth the stop off. Trust me.

Great breakfast and brunch spot! I always have the fresh juice - pineapple, Apple and basil. It's so good. My fave is the poached eggs with fetta, watercress and dukha / sourdough. Can't go wrong with that! Heard the cookies are pretty sweet too! I'll try those next time. Be prepared to wait about 5-10 mins for a bigger group, but if you're solo eat by the bar and you'll be seated faster

One of my favourite place is Newtown. West Juliet gets super busy so make sure you get here early or sleep in and avoid rush hours altogether. Brunch: get the French toast with a side of bacon. That poached pear with caramel sauce are just amazing. If you're feeling healthy get the house cured smoked salmon with yoghurt. Yums! Lunch: pulled pork with apple, cabbage, and kohlrabi salad. Did I mention it comes with crackling? Takeaway: you will seriously be soooo full after all those eating but make sure you get some salted choc chip cookie to go. And hide them from other people. You don't want to share these. They are too good!

Bacon and egg, with the addition of mushrooms

You know you're in luck when you pretty much get a seat straight away! Unfortunately the coffee is nothing special, however the food is delish. Using chilli aioli, they definitely know to turn a simple bacon and egg roll into something spectacular. If you're in the area got ahead and check it out, but i wouldn't say it's worth going out of your way for.

Popped in here for lunch as I'd seen it on Instagram. It was cold outside so I sat indoors. A reasonably sized cafe and a large menu offering Breakfast/brunch and lunch options that include oats, Bircher, eggs, a breakfast platter (that I almost got), sandwiches and salads. Today I ordered the pulled pork salad that was a huge serving of nice juicy pork with a salad of herbs, beans, radish, fennel and apple. The salad was really fresh and it all worked together nicely. Also had a great coffee with latte art and a little carrot cake topped with icing, walnuts and rosemary. The wait staff were nice and service was extremely fast.

The place is huge, full of hipsters & young local families. The coffee is smooth, sweet almost. The food selection. Was if enough to feed everyone and the service was attentive and warm

Could happily say this one of the nicest suburbs, to have breakfast in, federation houses, greenery everywhere and so peaceful. The food was amazing, fresh and full of colour, my eggs were cooked perfectly and hot (for once), staff were friendly and smiling. I am a Perth girl and could happily move over if all food places were like this one. 10/10

We went in during peak brunch rush hour on a weekend, we were lucky enough to have timed it just right (I must have done a favour for the universe!?) and we didn't have to wait long for an outdoor table for 2. It was packed but service was friendly and efficient, they were obviously under the pump but it didn't see to affect the efficiency. Coffee and food came out in a pretty timely manner and both were spot on. Scrambled egged with smoked salmon and fennel - highly recommended.

You will find it hard to locate this cafe. There are no visible business signs either. However, once you find this gem, you won't be disappointed. We ordered the West Juliett's Burger, and honestly, it was one of the best! Super juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. Coffee there wasn't bad either. We will be returning to try out other dishes!

This cafe in marrickvile was a buzz on a Saturday morning both inside and out. We only stopped in for a takeaway coffee which was extremely quick even though the cafe was almost full. The coffee was great and the cookies next to the counter are some of the largest I've ever seen. After eyeing the food coming out and the overall vibe of the cafe we will definitely be coming back to sit for a meal - if we can get a spot! Parking also was not an issue down side streets.

You order at the front register, and they bring your order to you. I've only tried their hojicha latte and taro latte, but they are the best lattes (no coffee) I've ever had. They've set up shop in a teeny tiny Lilliputian cottage in Kensington Lane in the new Central Park precinct. It backs onto Spice Alley and has light-filled interiors that are all white walls and light wood and it feel positively Scandinavian. Then there's the coffee. Good lord, man. It comes served in these custom cups, they're kind of grainy and glazed and feel like they've been hewn out of very light sandstone by some unnamed master craftsman who will die a nobody but be recognised posthumously as one of the finest artisans of this or any age, Van Gogh style. The barista had the obligatory mustache but boy, did this dude know what service felt like. Polite, friendly, charming, without being overbearing. Win stars out of five. Top class, thank you and goodnight.

I've been meaning to write up a review for weeks, but struggled to choose what to write about. The menu is seasonal and changes weekly, some samples include finely cut wagyu, crusted in dukkah and served on sourdough, honey-glazed bacon with fresh avocado, and mushrooms with ricotta. Almost everything comes served with sprinklings of sprouts and greens grown on the windowsill. The menu is small but there's almost always something for everyone; however, those looking for your classic big breakfast should come prepared to settle for something a little different. The quality of coffee is not entirely consistent, but the molasses-infused sugar makes up for it. I could eat a jar of it by itself. There's also a range of sandwiches on offer. A friend recently brought home lamb-shoulder on sourdough that had me drooling. I need to be strong, three visits in one day is just too much.

And if I was going to personify this cafe, that's how it'd go. It's small and charmingly ramshackle and chilled out and social all at the same time, it's basically how I want my living room to be. The coffee is fantastic, as are the views across the new Central Park development, and weirdly the noise of the construction across the road doesn't seem to come inside. The small menu is on the spendier side, but it looked creative & wholesome. Bring a book or a notepad to write deep thoughts in.

Sebastian, the robust English chef, serves up traditional and delicious café cuisine for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and a beautiful roast for Sunday lunch. He's funny at best, though I might warn you not to sit too close to the kitchen unless you want to overhear a colorful monologue of cynicism and crude jokes. Some winning items on the menu include the "Big Salad" which changes daily and can include a delicious mixture of pumpkin, cous cous, eggplant, walnuts, raisins, and any other odds and ends the chef decides to add on the day. I recommend ordering it with poached chicken, which is as tender as can be. Another popular item is the BLT, served on Turkish bread. Careful though, it's big enough to feed your entire family of seven. If you can appreciate a good chip (or 2 dozen), Bar Mattino's are hand cut and fried to perfection. Lastly, I would highly and enthusiastically recommend the house made brownie, for which I solely blame the gain of 3 kilos. It's chocoloatey, and melty, and powered sugary and just ALL good.
