Went for breakfast this morning and had a lovely time. I built my own breakfast and my friend had a paleo potato plate with eggs. Everything was delicious, including the coffee. They have lots of outdoor patio seating and a great vibe. So sad we discovered this place on the last day of our vacation, we would have made it our regular spot!

Ultiveto is a special cafe in a nook in the heart of Kings Cross. Nestled underneath Hugo's the classical music blares all around this lovely space which expands the cafe and its surrounds. A relaxed atmosphere lends itself to a lovely lunch, a quick coffee or a cheeky beer. A truly fab courtyard you could stay a spell in. I could only grab a coffee and a tuna sandwich, yummy. The staff are relaxed yet very attentive. Artistic types strewn all over the place it inspires you.

If you're as big a breakfast fan as I am, you're in for a treat with Uliveto. Not only does Uliveto boast an All Day Brekkie menu - but the choices are extensive and supremely tasty. My pick is the Uliveto Breakfast, free range eggs, bacon, tomato and chicken chipolattas on toast, or the Brekkie sandwich piled with egg, bacon, spinach & tomato - scrummy! The must have on the menu is the amazing Walnut toast with ricotta, avocado, tomato, boiled egg and olive tapenade - an absolute must-try. A buzz always surrounds this cafe, tables are rarely empty and the atmosphere is lovely. The locals agree that this cafe is one of the best in the area, with amazing coffee, fresh tasty food and friendly, very efficient service. If you're just passing through for a take away for coffee, try to avoid peak times if you're in a hurry but the coffee is worth the wait if you have time, and while you're there grab a blueberry muffin or croissant to go, freshly baked in-house and delicious. Get in early on Saturday or Sunday to nab a table in the front courtyard.

Got this delivered through Uber Eats. We ordered the King of the Cross Burger and Crispy chilli chicken Burger - both dishes came with fries. The King of the Cross burger was a bit plain, needs another sauce on it, could just taste the cheese and meat. The ingredients were good quality though and the fries were yum. The Crispy chicken burger definitely had more flavour with the wasabi mayo and overall ingredients in this were more flavoursome for sure. Would be good to sit in and eat and try the other breakfast items next time. Came to $30 total for both.

I need to add that this place has the best coffee art I've experienced to date.

Celebrity spotted! For some reason this is a common catchcry at Spring Espresso. I have no idea…read morewhy, considering it looks like a normal cafe. Also this is usually a 2nd option for a lot of people when the line at Fratelli Paradiso across the road is too long... My experience here was really good. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast of eggs with bacon done well. Oh and I had a side of David Wenham. I dropped my menu and he was the guy at the adjacent table that picked it up for me. I said thanks and he said you're welcome. Then I did the double take and my friend was about to lose it. But luckily we both kept calm and tried to concentrate on my eggs. This is apparently his favourite breakfast place and also of many other beautiful people in Sydney due to the good coffee. So if you want a bit of sparkle with your coffee, Spring Espresso is where to go to stalk...errr....eat lol.

Each has only about 4 places to sit, in the entryway or on the pavement, and our guide book suggested picking whichever had the first free seat. We sat at Spring Espresso and had a fabulous breakfast. This isn't hard in Australia, but this one was tops for quality and the chic feel. My waffles with fruit were perfect; the coffee was heaven. The café has a very European feel in its size, decor and ambience. Even the service felt European: efficient but far from in-your-face. Very popular with the gay crowd, too.
