Special of the day - french toast.

Great atmosphere- very attentive service - amazing food! Everything fresh and super delicious.

We came for brunch twice in our week-long visit to Sydney. Everything on the menu not only sounds delicious, but is really tasty. It really gave us a sour taste of how bad breaky is in America with what's so readily available in Sydney! Both days we went were Saturdays and there was a bit of a wait to be seated, the cafe is extremely busy for both dine-in and take-away. Service is fairly quick and servers are all friendly. The location is in Surrey Hills a couple blocks away from the bustling touristy Darling Harbor. The green smoothie is very tasty and refreshing. We tried the smoked salmon salad, the soft shell crab tacos, ricotta hotcakes, and the breaky sandwich. All were delicious, well seasoned, and a solid amount of food for the price. A definite recommend for anyone's trip into Sydney!

Salmon avocado salad on Syrian bread for breakfast. With a large coffee.

Great coffee and vibe. That's all you need. Crab was outstanding but not good finger food like a taco should be. Really want to try the pork belly sandwich - looked excellent. This became my go to breakfast place in Darling harbor. Had the avocado salmon salad breakfast and it was excellent. Service has been excellent.

Great food amazing coffee and tea. Short walk from the harbor. Staff was very friendly

Ricotta hot cakes! These were so yummy. I ate them pretty fast and didn't share with anyone because they were that good ;). I ordered a green smoothie to balance it all out. Smoothie was a nice way to end my brekkie at this restaurant. Others with me ordered the salmon Benedict and the smoked salmon flatbread. They were all delicious and all plates were empty. Cheers!

5 stars all around for the staff and delicious food. It was raining and they still accommodate folks outside and got wet to provide excellent service. I had the Avocado and Salmon flat bread and was just delicious. The coffee is also among the best you can find (top 3 rated in Australia I believe). Check this fantastic little spot out, you won't be disappointed!

Macchiato & an Iced tea.

Ron & Jo are on the go down under and Wow! We've found our breakfast place in Sydney and are coming back before we leave! I yelped you the Social Brew Cafe which was a few blocks from where we are staying so off we went. They have seating outside and inside and it was a little chilly and they had a table available inside so we grabbed it. The menu has a lot of tantalizing choices and our very nice waitress made some suggestions that we took. Jo went with the ricotta pancakes with iced tea and I ordered the smoked salmon with a macchiato. Our drinks were served quickly and my wife's crimson iced tea had a nice flavor and macchiato was served dark and rich. Jo's pancakes came with a liberal number of fresh strawberries and the ricotta was spread between the first and second pancake with a pistachio butter (lots of ground pistachios) in between the second and third cake. These pancakes were well presented and so delicious! Jo order a side of bacon which was a crispy generous Canadian bacon that was so also tasty and a good accompaniment. My smoked salmon had a mild smoke taste and the micro mesclun lettuce bed was went well with the flat bread and buttermilk dressing. Very good! We had a great meal and expect to come back in our short stay here. Which says a lot! I am Bookmarking the Social Brew Cafe! Food & Beverage 4.75 Great tasting food and cut above most breakfast places in presentation and taste! I prefer a smokier salmon but I am nitpicking. Service 5 Outstanding pleasant waitress was great and responsive. Atmosphere 4.5 Comfortable and cozy. Outdoor eating area as next to a green space which adds to the experience. Price 4.5 Great value for what you get for your dollar! OA 4.75 - I would be a regular here and we plan on coming back for another meal or two while we are here. Returned for a second time and had another awesome experience ordering the Mushroom Bruschetta. A thick slice of sourdough bread that mushrooms and two poached eggs with cream fresh and grated cheese flavored with truffles and pink of beef sausage. I had the loaded double, a stack of two slices of bread that sandwich ham and melted cheese between and topped with a free range sunny side up egg. They simply have some excellent food that is well prepared and presented. Absolutely love going here!

Ricotta Hotcakes

I'm so glad I found Social Brew! It was so wonderful that in our three days in Sydney, we had breakfast here twice. Social Brew has a walk up counter for take away orders and they also have table service where you can sit inside or outside on the patio. All the food and drinks I had were great! I enjoyed a long black and a cappuccino, and both were smooth and tasty. For food I had the ricotta hotcakes and the eggs on sour dough toast. The hotcakes were moist and fluffy, and they had fresh strawberries which were delicious. There was pistachio butter between the two cakes and it gave the hotcakes a nice crunch. When I got eggs and toast, I had the eggs scrambled. They were just the way I like them - not runny but also not dry (I.e. just right). The toast was also very tasty. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The second time we stopped in there was eight of us, and they were great about helping us split the orders into our four separate checks so we could pay at the the walk up counter. The interior had a casual and calm aesthetic to it, and I could've sat there and drank coffee and eaten delicious food all day!

You can add more to it such as heirloom cherry tomatoes, avocados, greens; garlic roasted field mushrooms, pork sausage, eggs or smoked ocean trout. I opted for scrambled eggs and it was a breakfast for champions NGL. Soooo good! Paired with the orange blossom matcha milk, I'm in heaven! I'm not really a citrusy kinda girl but that combo was divine. I needed more caffeine though for my long day ahead so I got a large mocha-- just the buzz I needed. The vibe is very aesthetic, industrial chic with high ceilings. Love the tables as well as the pitchers that look like Aesop bottles haha. I was really torn between the shokupan yuzu French toast and stracciatella, chilli and hazelnut toast but I'm glad I went with savory. Absolutely what I needed for today's adventures. Service was amazing. I was seated immediately but I came 15 mins after they opened so that's probably why. I'm so happy I added PCP to my Sydney itinerary.

Except that it only works, the manager told me, if you are dining in the little restaurant, which can be kind of hard since it's not large and sometimes quite crowded. But they will bring the food to you in the hotel. I had breakfast most of the mornings I was there, sitting in the lobby, working on my laptop while my daughter slept in upstairs. They even, one morning, came over to confirm something about my order that I'd forgotten to note--very nice. The food was good. My only complaint is that the toast was overtoasted, even a little burnt. But that seems to be par for the course for restaurants in Australia--it happened other places as well, including in Adelaide. One morning my daughter ordered the avocado on toast, and she said that it was just guac. IDK. But overall, it was good and convenient and the service was very good.

We both had the Chilli Eggs and while my husband enjoyed his I was expecting something with more flavour because of the name of the dish and the ingredients. There were no potatoes served with the dish, just sourdough toast under the eggs, so I felt the serving size did not justify the price. $21.00 for 2 eggs with no spice and toast. Seriously!! I would not recommend. There is no service. The whole experience did not provide value for the money.

We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.

I also reserve 4 and 5 star reviews for exceptional service with unforgettable dining experiences. The ambience is intimate but also noisy. I will say the coffee here and in Australia in general is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered (2) espresso martinis, pancakes, and the sirloin steak breakfast with a side hashbrown. My pancakes were stone cold but I will say the aesthetics on it made it edible. The pistachio butter cream was to die for. My steak was ok ; for the price I simply just wanted more. I could be wrong but I doubt it was even 6oz. If you have this place on your radar be sure to make reservations. This goes for almost every restaurant in Sydney. My server was Cassie who was very personable and even gave us tips on what to watch out for dining in Sydney.

This time we opted for the couches and made friends with a nearby diners French bulldog. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. You can also sit inside if the weather isn't suitable with beautiful styling, nautically themed with blue striped cushions, decorative ropes and anchors. We loved this place last time, so we were keen to try their new menu. The menu has a more varied amount of choices at brunch. There's sweets, salads and some regular and ever popular choices. The mozzarella with avo, perfectly place on sourdough with greens and pomegranates, heirloom tomatoes and and a soft poached egg was beautiful. The roast pumpkin salad with grains, Persian feta, heirloom salad, avocado, confit onion, Pepita dukkah and herbs is the kind of dish I'd enjoy every day. Super healthy and refreshing and the pumpkin was perfectly cooked. For a sweet finish, we really liked the poached pear on brioche, toast with salted caramel, passionfruit cream, candied pistachio and lemon zest. We imagine this will be a very popular menu item.
