Wow! I really enjoyed my breakfast here! I had "goats on toast" which was goat cheese on sourdough with Granny Smith apples, walnuts and drizzled with honey. Sour Dough was flavorful and toasted, bacon was crispy and tasty as bacon is, Avocado was creamy, and greens were fresh. The plates are for sure a bit pricey but must factor in vibes in cost. As you walk in there are stairs leading up to the main area. I didn't see a handicap entrance. Many locals were ordering coffees to go however we stayed to eat. The restaurant had a steady flow of traffic while we were there. I had the smoked salmon spinach scrambled eggs, it also comes with two pieces of toasted bread. It was heavenly! My mom ordered the eggs Benedict and mushroom avocado toast. She said it was fabulous! The wait staff were all super friendly. You pay at the counter. We were staying at the apartment building across the street and someone recommended this place to us in the elevator as we arrived. I'm forever thankful to that guy since we ended up having breakfast here for over half of our stay. I, personally, tried half their menu. They also have rotating specials which were delicious. Everything from Two Good Eggs Breakfast, to the toast with honey, apples, walnuts, and goat cheese, to their croissant breakfast sandwiches were amazing. And I have no words for the bacon: way better than American bacon - a good chunk of meat but also crispy ... Yum! We did try a couple of other places but they did not compare. We ended up coming back here on our last 2 mornings in the city One thing is they don't have any fresh fruit which my friend was kinda craving. My first experience here was years ago and the breakfast was excellent. I'm not sure if its the same owners, but I returned here today and although all I had was a coffee and a little passionfruit muffin/cake, I was super impressed. I came in at 3.57pm and although they closed at 4pm, the owner let me order a dine-in coffee with my muffin and never hurried me up when it was 4.20pm. There were even diners still in there and the atmosphere was really relaxed. The Toby's Estate coffee was quite good and I gave myself a little smile as I saw the little wafer on my spoon. So cute! :) I'm looking to return shortly to try their lunch menu which sounds delicious. Overall, I'm still impressed by Two Good Eggs Cafe and will definitely return. It's a small but vibrant cafe. I was promptly greeted and seated with a smile. I order the big breakfast with two poached eggs, toast, hash browns, mushrooms, bacon, and toast. The eggs were perfectly poached and the bacon crisp. I adore mushrooms, so hard to go wrong there. Three large pieces of toast were a bit much for me, but I did order the big breakfast. Breakfasts in Sydney have typically become homogenous when it comes to their menus and efforts to keep up with typical trends in morning dining, with all the hallmarks of soy, linseed, quinoa, smashed avocado and blah blah blah. The basics seem to get left behind. These guys however manage to cover the current trends and also get the basics superbly right. We had their take on eggs benedict, which at $18.90 wasn't cheap, but the avocado spread on the crispy sourdough bread literally made every yolky-hollandaisey bite heaven. We found the café thanks to a simple search of 'best eggs benedict in Sydney' and sure enough, we were highly impressed. We also had a prosciutto breakfast burger which was excellent. Coffee was great, hot chocolate not so great, setting was nice and service did the job. We'll definitely be back for the food, and would highly recommend it. The food that is. Delicious. This little spot had everything I wanted out of a breakfast place near my hotel: Good coffee, big delicious breakfasts, friendly and attentive service, and a cozy space and atmosphere. My only regret is not coming here sooner so I could have had more meals here! I ordered the Two Good Eggs cafe--eggs, toast, bacon, mushrooms, and potatoes to fuel up for a day of activities! My only complaint on the food is that the potatoes were the little formed hash brown patties, similar to what you'd get in a fast food joint. I can overlook this flaw while sipping a hot long black and chowing down on two perfectly poached eggs over toast. Bacon and mushrooms made a nice complement, even if you opt to skip the potatoes altogether.
