Nice furniture store. Seems pricey for what you get but the aesthetic is nice. Service team seemed busy so that's a sign they might be doing something right.

I'm an interior designer on the side of my tech job and West Elm is my vibe. From fun mirrors to modern accent chairs to candles, I love shopping here. The only gripe is some items take way too long to arrive but it's been great quality and long lasting

Bought 3 gold double curtain rods for a bedroom with windows on 3 sides. Our handyman installed them. They look fantastic. The online pictures look gold, in person color is closer to new brass. Minor issue, set was missing 2 tiny screws so I'll have go down to the hardware store with a sample. Otherwise they're stunning. Never thought to read reviews on Yelp. Sorry to hear about so many people's bad experiences. I'll check reviews before I buy anything in the future. My pictures don't show the double curtain rods but they are.

CHEAP BEDDING - FULL OF HOLES!!! Ordered a new Dreamy Cotton Gauze duvet - item arrived with holes in in straight out of the package, had to drive back to return the item. Decided to order the Reese Linen Cotton Duvet after thinking maybe the gauze was to delicate of material. After waiting several weeks duvet arrived with multiples holes in it as well. Quality of their item is extremely cheap and poorly made. I cannot image what these items would look like in a couple of month or after the first washing. After some searching I realized what poor reviews they have. Ironic you are not able to leave a review on items that you purchase on their website.

I purchased a Cirrus light pendant in March 2022... Within a little over a year..I noticed the shade started to discolor. After several attempts in discussing this with a store manager they would not give me a credit or exchange for a new fixture. I went ahead and purchased a new one (shame on me) around May 2023 and this is what it looks like now. Again, West Elm and William Sonoma refused to do anything. Clearly it is a defective product and WE should address the issue with the manufacturer. No such thing as customer service with this company. Rude, no knowledge of their products.

A visit to their beautiful gallery in north Oakland is like being in a bazaar in ancient Persia. This is one of the premier sources for true antique Persian rugs in the U.S. and we are fortunate to have them in the Bay Area. It is important to emphasize that this is not the place to go for the kind of new Persian-design rugs which can be found in most rug stores. With the current international sanctions on imports from Iran, these new rugs are woven in Pakistan, India or China, can be of reasonable quality and relatively inexpensive and may be all you need. But if you are interested in the real thing - antique hand knotted Persian rugs (at least 80 years old) with stunning natural vegetable dye colors in excellent condition - Claremont Rug Company is the place to go. The experience of visiting their gallery is unlike a visit to a typical rug showroom where a salesman will pull back a corner of each rug in a large pile of rugs in the approximate size range you are looking for. At Claremont Rug Company you are strongly advised to make an appointment so that you have the gallery to yourself. You most likely will be greeted by Jan David Winitz, the very personable owner. He is a longtime collector and extremely knowledgeable on all types of Persian rugs. After determining the correct size, Mr. Winitz will use his uncanny color sense to pick out rugs to show from his vast inventory. With his crew, Mr. Winitz lays out each rug so that you can view it in the whole from all sides. In this way my wife and I found three good prospects for each of the rooms where we needed rugs. We left the gallery with excellent pictures and descriptions of each of the rugs. There was absolutely no high-pressure salesmanship whatsoever. After a few days, when we determined that we wanted to take the next step, we called to make an appointment to have the rugs shown in our home. Mr. Winitz and his crew then came to our home and patiently laid out each prospective rug in its intended place. After we had chosen the rugs we wanted to purchase, they were taken away for cleaning and minor repairs and then returned and installed complete with padding. Claremont Rug Company obviously represents the very top of the rug market. These fine old rugs are not inexpensive, but we felt the prices for the rugs we purchased were reasonable given their extremely high quality and excellent condition and that we therefore absolutely got high value for the amount we paid. In addition, the whole selection and purchasing experience was very pleasant and satisfying, which is not always the case in buying rugs. If you are in the market for the very best ancient Persian rugs, we would highly recommend Claremont Rug Company. Even if you are not currently in the market, but just like the look of these beautiful works of art, you should get their brochures or catalog. Christine Winitz, Jan's wife and a collector herself, puts these together and they are true works of art on their own.

His delivery was the day before mine, and I was delighted & hopeful that my experience from ordering through delivery would be as excellent as his was. My experience was!!! First, I come from a family of designers, and I live in SF, which is a city with many furnishing options. The experience of shopping on the CasaOne site, with all of the options & design resources, and their pricing structure, is an excellent one. I wanted a look that was all me, and I got it at CasaOne. My order was more than 25 items, and it was processed efficiently. 2 items were not available, and I was promptly notified. The day before & day of delivery experience is truly amazing. I have had a lot of incoming items for my new home, the CasaOne experience was the singular best of all of them to date. My white glove delivery Team took amazing care of me. Their assembly was seriously world-class; because of their assembly skill & attention to detail, they made the furniture look truly high-end. The delivery/installation Team were ultra careful about moving the furniture in, and ultra careful in placing it. They also did an exhaustive walk-through, looking at every inch of everything--they found a small imperfection that I had not. Out of 26 pieces total, only 2 had some minor issues, and I am certain these will be resolved. I am someone who lets the frustrations & imperfections of life move by...but I always try to be the person who recognizes superlative & cost efficient options for living, as well as superior work-ethic & execution. Everyone we know who has furnishing needs will hear about this CasaOne experience! Oh and btw, I have already ordered 6 more items!

Delivery was on time and efficient, but there was a moment of drama in the beginning when they were realizing that it was a sixth floor apartment with no elevator and they were calling their ops people to ask if they really needed to go through with it. (I only had 12-15 pieces, mostly small, for a studio apartment). I had clearly stated this when I filled out the forms and put in a special note about it, so it was awful to have them arrive and be faced with not having a bed to sleep on that night. They sorted it out and delivered as expected. What also wasn't great was that I signed up for the flex plan to be able exchange pieces whenever, and this went fine the first time, but second time I did this, they informed me that they had pivoted their business to doing only staging homes and selling furniture. There were also some email exchanges with their ops/support team that just required a bunch more arguing than I would have preferred. They did give me refunds on the flex plan, but now I'm stuck with furniture that I wanted to exchange for other pieces, but no way to do it. When my contract is over, I intend to return all this furniture.
