I've driven past this place a bunch of times. There's always people dining outside, particularly…read morewomen of various ages. They always look as though they're having fun. This time as I drove by, I had a friend and my dog riding along with me. Would they let us have dinner outside with my dog? I pulled up and walked into the restaurant to ask. Sure. We could sit at the high picnic tables near the front lawn. It was a nice, relaxing setting. Our server was Juliet, a very nice and helpful young woman. I ordered a Rustic Mule which was really a Moscow Mule and a Turkey Reuben with garlic mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a half pound burger with Dirty Fries. The food was delicious. We had a great time. I couldn't finish my meal. I ate half and took the rest home. Too bad. I was hoping to make it to dessert. The restaurant is famous for some sort of ice cream "flavor bomb," which I'll have to try next time. The dog, meanwhile, got a nibble of turkey from my sandwich and then sat down beside me. Juliet said the dog was so quiet she almost forgot the dog was there.

The menu is your usual bar food with some interesting touches. We had the seafood chowder, delicious and full of seafood, meatloaf and lobster Mac and cheese. There was plenty of lobster claw meat on the Mac and cheese and very saucey. My husband enjoyed the meatloaf, homemade mashed potatoes. Two downsides, there was an up charge for gravy on the meatloaf???? Questionable. I also ordered crème brûlée for dessert, when it came out I immediately knew there was an issue, it wiggled. It was literally just custard sauce with hard sugar on top. The waitress came to check on us, and this is why I bring it up. She let us know it was the best they could find as far as solidifying and when they served some yesterday people were ok with it ?????? Really, so you are aware it was not as it should be but you chose to serve it anyway, a hard no. She was very polite about and obviously it was removed from our bill however it does make you stop and think what else is going on in the kitchen that they are trying to pass off on the customer.

We visited them over the summer. We had pizza to go that took over an hour to be ready. The pizza…read morewas very good. The salad was also very good. Returned in September only to have the worst service ever. We sat there waiting for a drink for about 20 minutes while the staff were doing shots. We decided to have a drink to see if the service would get better. However, it did not. We waited 15 minutes after asking for our bill. Ordered some takeout on November 28, We ordered chicken wings, a tossed salad and buffalo french fries. The wings were definitely a triple fried, there wasn't any meat on the bones because it was fried off. The salad was welted and may as well have been just a little lettuce with two cucumbers, and that was it. The cucumbers were wilted. The french fries were soggy as to be expected for takeout, but there was nothing fresh about anything that we ordered. Will not be ordering again. We received a phone call 20 minutes after our order asking when we were going to pick it up because apparently they were closing early due to no business. Just not the best experience or what we were hoping for to get this place a third chance. Three times and that's it!

We sat for 5 minutes before being greeted, she came and got our drink order and came back 10 minutes later with only half of our drinks. The dining room is dirty, the carpets stained and the tables sticky. The food was just ok. The owner thanked us for coming and was very friendly. It's great to see this old place open and I wish they would clean it up a bit and fix the mediocre renovations that were done.

We came back on a Saturday night for dinner and it didn't disappoint. It is hard to take our…read moretoddler out to dinner at a "nice Italian restaurant", so as a three-way compromise we came here. There were trains outside the window and a kid's menu for him; there were sit down tables and a limited dinner Italian menu for the wife; and there were trains, college football on all the TVs, and the menu for me. Score! I had their veal parm. (with light sauce) and it was absolutely fantastic. Cooked perfectly, flavorful, not tough at all, and the sauce in its limited capacity was very nice. My wife had some pasta/eggplant dish and she seemed to enjoy it though she had the regular amount of sauce and it pooled with a lot of water on the bottom of the plate. Not as nice. Our son's "chicken fingers and fries" turned out to be two separate plates: one with a huge amount of fries, and one with breaded chicken cutlets cut into strips. Apparently, that is how they make "chicken fingers" now. He wasn't really into that, but man let me tell you they were great! I know only kids can order this but PLEASE tell me that adults can get this too. They were so much better than frozen, breaded chicken fingers. I'm calling my shot here: the next time I am here I am going to order Buffalo wing sauce on those chopped up chicken cutlet strips and create a NEW variation of boneless chicken wings!

They were raving about their seafood bisque and brought a sample to share. Dipping their in house bread was great, and the soup itself was decent. I got adventurous and tried their "Italian Sushi". Not bad, an interesting idea. Jughead ordered a burger as usual, another ordered the ravioli, chicken parm and for me the drunken chicken. Everything was decent, but lacked a lot of seasoning, especially salt. I'd try it again but am skeptical.
