The damage I did to the drive required Five Star's clean-room service, and they quoted a flat rate to me in advance. The effort of recovering the data ended up being very challenging and took longer than any of us expected, but at the end Five Star was able to recover over 99% of the files--and I'm happy to say, the 1% of files were not important to me, so the 99% they recovered covered everything I needed. Despite that significant extra work, they invoiced me only for the original quoted amount. I'm happy with the results but also the professionalism. When I first reached out to Five Star, they got back to me at the start of the next business day and, after answering a few follow-up questions, I had a quote and scheduled to drop off my drive the same day. Vahan and Elen were particularly helpful and professional the entire way through. It was really a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend Five Star enough!

Turns out I accidentally mapped out a Ryzen upgrade path, but my mobo only supports Intel. So what started as a two-component swap quickly became a much larger operation: migrating a bunch of components across two chassis to make everything compatible. We only realized this after Sam already arrived. On the spot he pivoted immediately, and executed the whole upgrade AND components migration between both my machines within the tight timeline I'd originally asked for. He wasn't one bit fazed, and no upcharging me on the spot for the extra complexity...just calm, focused problem-solving with a genuinely friendly attitude throughout. If you want someone who's versatile, technically sharp, and just an all round awesome human being to be around, Sam is your guy. He's earned my repeat business without question.

She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

Choose these folks for your data recovery needs! I had two WD (called Western Digital when they…read moredrives were made) HDDs that I needed data from. I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I hope I never need their services again but should, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them.

And worse it was the one that held all my photos over the last couple of years. I'm an engineer by trade and with other files, I might have tried to rescue them myself. For these important photos, however, I decided to go with the professionals. I did a bunch of research trying to find the best data recovery service to use and $300 Data Recovery turned out on top. The employees here are very professional and responsive. I submitted my chances form at 7:30PM on a Saturday and they got back to me within an hour. I was not expecting a response over the weekend. They gave very clear instructions on how to package and send off my SSD. I dropped it off at UPS the next day and by Wednesday, they confirmed they received the device and added me to the queue. Apparently there weren't too many people in line before me so I received a positive response the very next day. 100% of sectors recovered! A couple of days later they were completely done and after I confirmed they recovered my files (they send a master list of all files) and I paid ($300 fee + $105 recovery transfer drive + $25 shipping), they shipped my drive back. Total time from my first contact to receiving my data back: 16 days, and this was including Thanksgiving in between. I am very satisfied with the service I got from $300 Data Recovery. Hopefully I never run into drive trouble again (it certainly made me backup my files more frequently), but if I ever need help, I'll definitely contact them again. I shut off my computer, went to Yelp and was happy to find someone who specializes in Apple/Mac. I then asked my La Canada Flintridge friends and one person endorsed him whole-heartedly. I called Jack and lucky for me he said to come over in a couple of hours. He has a nice, bright office next to his house, not far from the freeway exit for Trader Joe's. He's so easy to work with--smart, personable and clear. He knew exactly what needed to be done. I have a backup service, but having done a backup install before, I knew that would take days. Jack took care of everything and had my laptop back to me that same day. There is nothing like the security of knowing your computer is only in the hands of one trustworthy person instead of sitting in a backroom, handed off to someone you've never spoken to. Also, Jack is an authorized Apple tech and his fees are fair. He also helped me choose the right router (I was about to buy something I would have regretted). I have told all my Mac friends about him so I thought I should get around to posting here. Two things you should know: 1) Be sure to call first, he only sees people by appointment and 2) He takes cash and checks, no credit cards. If you have a Mac, this is your guy.

"No fix , No fee ,No hassles"…read more I paid for a screen replacement that did not work, and was hassled. I cracked my phone screen in December, and came here to get it fixed after reading all of the positive reviews. The initial correspondence was easy. I told Jon the type of phone I had, he quoted me $180 to fix it. It is important to know that when I asked how much it would costs, he said "$180". No other context was offered. I was happy with the price and let him fix it. Five minutes into getting my phone back, I noticed that my screen would glitch every time I opened certain app.s Then I noticed that the screen kept freezing, and I would have to restart my phone to get it to work. I immediately went back to Jon and told him about the issues, and he said he would fix it and get me a new screen within a few days. Once again, I picked up my "fixed" screen for the second time, only for it to have the same issues I was having before, just a little less frequently. Frustrated, I went back to Jon a third time and asked what was going on. He said I bought the "generic" version for $180 and that I could upgrade to a high quality option for more money that would not have these issues. I asked him why didn't he inform me of the different versions that were available when we first spoke, and he said that he assumed I wanted the cheapest version. I can only imagine that he made this assumption because I am a Black woman. It is absurd, insulting and bad business to assume what someone is willing to pay for when you are in a sales position. He then proceeded to tell me that all of the glitches, freezing and malfunctions were normal with the "generic" version, and that I would continue to experience these issues that were rendering my phone inoperable unless I upgraded to a higher quality version. Nothing of this information was offered when I initially returned the phone for issues. As a customer I don't understand why you would sell a product that you know does not work. My screen was "fixed" yet I wasn't able to use my phone for more than 5 minutes without if freezing, glitching or shutting down. This is not a fix. Furthermore, I was not initially given the option to buy a new screen that would actually work. I told him he was a scam artist and left. The 100-day warranty they offer is because they know that their products do not work and you will experience many issues. I would not recommend letting Jon fix your phone unless you plan to waste money on a phone that does not work.
