This is my first time writing a review for a business where I didn't actually end up getting a repair done, but the experience absolutely deserves recognition. This computer repair shop is located on the second floor of a strip mall. I brought my older Dell laptop because I was having battery issues. Vic took the time to check it out and quickly confirmed that the problem was indeed the battery. Instead of trying to upsell me on a repair, he was completely honest and told me that putting money into an older model might not be the best use of my money. He went above and beyond by suggesting newer laptop options that are comparable and available at better price points. On top of that, he even told me that if I did decide to replace the battery myself, I could email him and he'd let me know exactly what to buy and where to get it. That level of honesty and helpfulness is rare. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied with their customer service and recommendations. We need more small businesses like this that prioritize people over profit. Let's support the local neighborhood shops that do business the right way. read more

These guys rule. I brought in my MacBook Pro after the screen suddenly stopped working. They kept it for a couple of days and then called me to give me the bad news- there was some internal damage and my display needed to be replaced. The laptop is like 10 years old so even though their quote was reasonable, it made more sense for me to put the money into buying a newer model. They gave me some recommendations based on my needs, and when I asked them how much I owed them for the diagnosis, they said there was no charge, they only do that if they fix the problem. Visited 8/2020 and got my computer back in working order the same day!! My Toshiba laptop was on its last leg. My laptop would overheat and it would shut off. The worst part? I couldn't launch my Quick Books!! This was an emergency and my trusty yelp found this wonderful place!! Located upstairs at a mini mall is where you will find Computer Doctors. Their business card says, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Computer Geeks" and it's very true. We sat at a desk while he examined my laptop. He diagnosed what issues he found and also recommended a treatment plan like making some updates for my laptop. Left my laptop behind to be treated and I hoped and prayed for a cure. Several hours later, he called me and said it was ready!! He waited for me till I got there (he was already closed but he didn't mind waiting) and the amount I paid was a whole lot cheaper than buying another laptop. This is definitely my go to place now. NEVER going to Office Depot (takes to long) again! Plenty of free parking in the upper lot and in the lower garage. Look maybe they are nice and do diagnostics for free Maybe they focus on pc's and do a great job But in my case with my IMac the patient just died on the operating table Issue with slow working drive and lag, drop off and pick up a cinch but a few months later (just after their warranty expired) problems re emerge and now the mic on the computer doesn't work at all (who needs a mic in the age of zoom right?) Took it to Apple, they diagnosed with wrong drive in computer (read not compatible with Apple) and reason the mic doesn't work is when they resealed the computer they used ELECTRICAL TAPE No bueno !!! Not only that but Luis cleaned my entire computer and even provided me some solutions that they could have charged for but gave advice on how I can possibly fix myself seeing as I have some computer building experience. I planned to write this when I got the my computer repair done but totally forgot. The laptop screen to my Dell XPS became detached at one corner of the keyboard and every time I attempted to close it, the keyboard sections where my power plug went in and where there is a USB plug appeared to break apart. It was definitely breaking apart every time I bent my screen anywhere more than 30 degree to close it. I brought my laptop here after calling to see if they were open given the pandemic. They were able to take a look at my laptop while I left it with them to go pick up some essentials. An hour or two later, I came back and they had diagnosed that there was a broken part inside that needed to be replaced and clipped the parts together and instructing me on how to secure everything in place while they hunted for a replacement part for me. I was offered a chance to order a brand new part for several hundred dollars or a high-quality used part for much less. I went with the latter and it looks like brand new. Since I was unable to part with my laptop on a weekday, I dropped it off on a Friday late afternoon after work and it was ready for me to pick up the early the next day. Service was quick and no doubt they stayed late to get it done for me. Everyone who worked there from technician to receptionist to their their adorable dachshund couldn't have been more friendly. Their labor charges are more than reasonable and I'm so grateful they saved me from having to get a brand new laptop on the fly during the pandemic. This review is over due. These guys saved my Dell XPS TWICE - first after a coffee spill and again a few months later after a smoothie accident where I tried to type and drink at the same time. We've been using these guys for our computer repairs/issues for about 6 years now. They are friendly, professional, HONEST, and follow stringent California pandemic rules. Sanitizer on a table before you enter and a sign-in sheet to let them know what you need. They only allow one client into the office at a time so prepare to wait if someone is there. Victor and Luis were VERY helpful with my Mac which was encountering problems after I updated to the new OS Big Sur. My computer was running slow, applications were unresponsive, and the machine was heating up. They were able to pinpoint the problem immediately and told me they can fix it. The estimate to do the job was very reasonable. 200+ 5 star reviews since 2008. Perfect record. There's nothing else for me to add other than my own anecdote: I've been here twice. Once for my old computer back in 2010? 2009? Way far back. They fixed it after many other shops had no idea what was wrong. I never went back because that's how amazing Computer Doctors are. I came back again recently because I tried doing building my own PC and while it worked they were able to diagnose that I had a failed m.2 SSD. Everything is fine and dandy. I won't see them again with problems for a long time because they're that good. The prices are infinitely better than anywhere else along with the service you get. I was a bit dubious about repairing my incessantly crashing 6-year-old Sony Vaio laptop because they are no longer made. However, after researching several repair shops I settled on this place. The Computer Dr.'s staff did not give up after trying and researching many different things over the course of several weeks. They even let me borrow a laptop in the meantime, because it was taking unusually long. Ultimately they were able to fix everything and it's been performing like new ever since. They also didn't charge me because it was such a weird issue and I had to come back several times. But the best part?....they have a wiener dog in the office who provides emotional support as you cross your fingers while handing over your equipment! He pats your back and whispers, "We've got this!" in his adorable dog accent. When you get your fixed computer back he uncrosses your fingers for you and in exchange lifts up both your thumbs then takes a selfie with you. I'm convinced he's the true miracle worker of the office and should be canonized as the patron saint of this establishment. You can't loose with this place. read more
