Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburger's is as Iconic as The Polo Brand. It just needs some areas that it can improve in. The only expectations I had when I arrived was to have fresh and hot food. To my surprise, I was able to get a variety of quality products at a good price. Their large chili was $2.59 and I also got a Double Dave's Classic Combo (Small Size) with a Diet caffeine beverage for only $5.00. I have attended Wendy's throughout my childhood, and I even worked at a few (as a store open crew member and I worked the drive-thru). Here are some areas that can improve. Every place is not the Ritz Carlton, so I know this is fast food and everyone does not appear to be as friendly. As a result, I will infer that the new owners will assess their staff and keep individuals like Cathy. She is very pleasant, easy to please and holds great conversations. Recently, I was given some coupons that were really good. In fact, it made me go back today. The price points were perfect. Although, I miss some of the Wendy's having Breakfast (like in Georgia or California) and the Salad Bars...If the new owners (that Cathy and another manager told me about), really want customer input...I would highly recommend that they get approval from Corporate to bring back the Pita's. Most of my order was missing and workers seemed so confused behind the counter. Used a deal I had for a specialty frosty, a burger and some fries. Initially was just given the burger in bag and signaled that I needed my fries still (assuming that the frosty was being made still). I got the fries but was still waiting on the frosty. After a couple more minutes I asked when that was coming up and they confirmed who I was, seemed to not be able to find my order, and then scrambled to try and make it. It looked okay but did not taste like the banana flavor it was supposed to at all. Disappointing when a fast food place nearby falls apart. It was really dirty inside too, ketchup was all over the counter behind where you wait, and no napkins were present in the dining area at all so I just used my paper bag to wipe up the frosty spilling down the side of the cup. read more

The drive thru instructed cars to pull ahead to wait for their food. Not because they wanted to keep the line moving and improve delivery by having a difficult order wait. EVERY car was instructed to move forward 2 slots while continuing to box the rest of us in. When I asked about this and stated that it was actually slowing down delivery by adding a new process, the lady stated that they needed the meter to register faster "for the manager". Essentially, they said that they are making us wait longer so they can give the appearance to the corporation that they are in fact working faster. I dont have time to wait around so clowns can get an incentive that they did not earn and was based on them cheating their own system Wendy's. I complained to Wendy's corporate and received a form letter in response. Wendy's corporate needs to understand how issues such as this affect their brand. Placed online order through the mobile app. Food to be picked up at 5:05 pm. Arrived in lobby. Nobody working the counter. Family of five walk in. They wait 5 minutes before even being acknowledged, then they wait another 5 minutes to order. At 5:15 I ask about the status of my mobile order. I show the staff my receipt with an order number and proof of payment. I'm told they don't have the order. The manager comes over and we explain the issue. She tells me, "I don't have time for this, he has to wait," and goes back to working the drive thru. I ask how long I have to wait and get no answer. She refused to speak to me again. Finally another employee who just came on shift filled the order per our receipt, even though it was done 25 minutes after the promised time. Thank you to her, at least!! read more

Came in with coupons looking for something quick on our way to an appointment and found only two people in line ahead of me. I wanted to try the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and had a Buy One Get One Free coupon. The two people ahead of me took several minutes each to get their orders placed and filled. I'm not sure what was taking so long as there seemed to be enough staff to handle the light customer traffic. The Yelp Star Meter began to drop. Once I got to the counter I presented my coupon for two Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and asked for a glass for water. The girl taking the order was having trouble getting the coupon added into the system...now I could see part of the reason it was taking so long. She called for the supervisor who was busy with something else. While waiting she proceeded to fill the previous orders and the Yelp Star Meter continued to drop! Then the supervisor showed up with my two sandwiches and quickly resolved the issue with the register and the coupon. They apologized for the delay and told me that soft drinks would be complimentary because of the delay. The Yelp Star Meter started trending back up... I got a Diet Coke and we sat down to eat. Upon unwrapping the Chicken Sandwich I realized this was no McD value menu Chicken Sandwich. It had a seasoned and grilled chicken breast with upscale greens and a honey-mustardy type sauce and was on a whole grain bun. And the Chicken stuck out on each side of the bun! And the taste was worthy of a somewhat pricier Chicken Sandwich (unless you have a BOGOF coupon). The Yelp Star Meter continued to climb. I would definitely order this again. read more

Recently updated interior made it more cutomers friendly environment! And yes...they finally paved the parking lot so that the pothole is gone.. good job for that! I usually order the Crispy Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo...I pretty sure a lot of people love this sandwich. However, recently..I think the taste has changed. Right? I believe before the Cripsy Spicy Chicken has a buttery taste to the outside crisp and some kind of seasoning on the chicken to make it mouth watery. Now, it has a new kind of seasoning...I can taste a peanut like seasoning...or is it the bun? And yes it is not that spicy anymore. So I need to remind them to make it more spicy next time...wish they can do that for me. I miss the old Spicy Chicken Sandwich... The baked potato still to die for!!! so delicious! But I've been busy and fell off the wagon only to find myself sober and at a Wendy's. This is possibly the first time in my life that it has ever happened. Somehow, I was wrangled into buying $50 worth of sandwiches and an order of bacon cheese fries. The service was quick and they even gave me a free order of fries for a long wait (which really didn't happen). The food wasn't bad either (which I imagine is the goal). Wendy's seems pretty hit or miss, but this one is usually pretty good. Clean, order is correct, they aren't slow, that sort of thing. Wendy's is always a solid option for something other than McDonalds and Burger King. Been coming to this location frequently over the years. I carried out a grilled chicken and spicy chicken (buy 1, get 1 of equal or lesser value free coupon). Both the dressings in both sandwiches are really good, and were cooked well. There isn't too much to expect out of a fast food review but Wendy's does their spicy chicken justice. Check them out if you have the chance. read more

This was one of our worst fast food drive thru experiences. Went there May 23rd around 5pm. There was a long line. We waited in line for an hour. There were cars lined up, but not enough to warrant that long of a wait. We get to the window and one person takes our money and we get our drinks. Long wait again, like 15 minutes. Another person shows up at the window very confused. We finally get our food. We pull over and realize we have luke warm food. One order was a burger with just lettuce and tomato. Open it up and there's no tomato or lettuce, only onions on it!!!??? I can't understand how in the world after over an hour wait we could get Luke warm food???? Boggles the mind. Maybe they were short staffed or it's s Covid thing, but at the very least the food should have been fresh and hot. The food was limp, luke warm and tasted like it was cooked, sat for a few hours, reheated, then sat, then was served. With all businesses suffering during this pandemic, I know there are plenty of other places that would have happily jumped at the chance to offer us a fresh hot meal more efficiently. Wendys on 17 mile and Rochester rd in troy needs someone one to do a health inspection .a employee sent me pictures of what isnt being done in the restaurant .major health concerns not only to the people who work there but also to the costumers who buy food ... 1) first concern employees standing on the grill cleaning the hoods with chemicals where the after flow is falling on the food when it was brought to the attention of the general manager .was informed they do it all the time.. 2)pop heads and pop station over flow build up of pop that has been sitting there for sometime ..mold in the ice bins 3)raw meat being served to customers 4)cooked meet at night sitting in a Doulbe boiler in hot water to take out and serve to the costumers. 5) found a pile of meat behind the meat well that was black from sitting there . 6)grease on the floors conners looks like its never deck scrubed. 7)all the conners of sandwiches stations are never cleaned out or sanitized .fry station where the frys go build up of nasty crud ... As a customer with a employees issues . I seriously hope something done about this restaurant i will not be eating that this location . read more
