The food and service was fine but as I was finishing my meal I saw a mouse running across the dining room floor. I notified the manager of the truck stop this Wendy's is a part of, and she told me they were "aware of the problem" and that an exterminator was on the way. You'd think they would have the common decency to not serve food to the public while dealing with a rodent infestation but apparently management here is happy to risk getting people sick to make a buck. read more

I came in at 2 AM on 2/4 and I was so delighted by the service that I had to post a review. The staff was great. When I walked in the guy greeted me. The lady that took my order was fast and the other lady that handed me my food was so nice, acknowledged my pup and offered me a cup of water for him and utensils for his burger patties. This is the place inside the new Pilot building. So we are on our way home, driving hours on the freeway. Drive through, order our food and pull out. Only to see no salad. Didn't eat here, but there's no yelp listing for the business it's located in. Beat truck stop ever! Clean, usable bathrooms, plenty of stalls and everything is perfect for the middle of nowhere! This place even has showers and a little laundromat! Highly recommend if you need to find some place to stop. This is the only Wendy's ive found for miles when travelling South on the 5. Well, you can get your Wendy's fix here but dont expect anything fancy. Don't look for much enthusiasm from the zombie like staff. They appear to move slow, but thankfully the line moved quick enough and food came out quite quickly and tasted good. Restaurant appeared clean, just very run down. But this isn't In-n-out, its an old Wendy's attached to truck stop. My drink was putrid so i returned it, I was nicely informed all the drinks are disgusting because of a problem with the water. So keep that in mind if your thirsty. read more

Once a Wendy's cashier gave us a bag of food and said "careful, it's hot." I thought "Wow! You never hear that at a fast food restaurant." You can get hot food for the most part during lunch hour when it's crowded, but other than that, you probably need to ask for HOT fries or HOT nuggets. Apparently that does not apply to this location. We stopped at this Wendy's (Hwy46 & I-5, Lost Hills, CA) just before 10pm, ordered two orders of 10-piece nuggets. They were hot and fresh. Delicious! We returned a few days later around 5:30pm. My wife asked me to checked the nuggets before driving away. I assumed if they were ok at 10pm on a Wednesday, they should be ok on a Sunday at 5:30pm. I stopped by this place today and wanted to pay for my meal with the Wendy's app. I had funds in the app. Well this simple transaction generated impromptu conference among managers and staff. The conference lasted for about 5-8 minutes. In the end of this general assembly meeting, they told me that they could not accept payment through their own app. This is truly amazing how Wendy's franchisee can operate this fast-food joint with utter incompetence. I called Wendy's customer service and ask them to unlock and transfer my money from Wendy's app back to my credit card. I am done dealing with Wendy's. However, bathrooms are quite packed which on the Mens side means a lot of urine hits the ground and on the female side, long endless bathroom lines. Gas pumps are usually full and parking can be hard to find. Showers are usually available and hopefully the men are not peeing in them when the line is too long. Employees are unusually nice especially since they are forced to live out here in the middle of nowhere. Honestly, you can't imagine how bad this location is. I mean, I know it's Wendy's. But trust me, the bar wasn't set very high and they didn't even come close. The girl taking orders kept shouting "guest count x" to whomever was in the back cooking. I don't know why. It didn't seem like there was anyone else even working there. No one came up to help her and they obviously were in no rush to make our food. It took about half an hour for our order to come up. While we were waiting, everyone kept coming in from the drive through saying they got the wrong order. The nuggets tasted like cold styrofoam. The fries tasted like cold cardboard. The burger was like cold sawdust. Even the Coke tasted like sour chemicals. Of course there was no dipping sauce in the bag. On this non-holiday Sunday night the parking lot was a cluster. ***This was my first ever visit to a Wendy's for breakfast; it was not horrible, but for unhealthy fast food breakfasts, I prefer McDonald's; this location had two listings on Yelp so I posted my review and pics to both listings*** On most of my trips on the 5 from LA to SF, I have stopped at McDonald's for breakfast. There are not many other choices, but I stumbled upon this Wendy's (I had never been to a Wendy's for breakfast). This Wendy's has a breakfast menu that is similar to Burger King and McDonald's (they do offer biscuits with sausage gravy, a dish I think you cannot get at those other two places in California). I had the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and it was very similar to the same breakfast sandwich at McDonald's. The biscuit might have lacked the crunchiness and color of the McDonald's biscuit, but the egg was similar as was the slightly melted-and-slightly-not-melted slice of American cheese. Wendy's may have been a little more generous with the bacon (though, like McDonald's, it was not great bacon). The hash browns were the circular discs that you would find at a Burger King. Not exactly hot or incredibly crispy but okay for what it was. I am not sure why, but McDonald's really seems to own the patent on tasty (albeit incredibly unhealthy) breakfast hash browns. It seems that their top competitors opt for these discs while the places that go for the McDonald's-esque hash brown shape end up serving not-so-crisp and incredibly greasy/soggy hash browns. Service was fine and quick. Prices were similar to other fast food breakfast spots. Wendy's breakfast is not a significant drop off from a McDonald's breakfast so it might be an option if you want to try something new. However, if a McDonald's breakfast is a guilty (or non-guilty) pleasure of yours, you probably should skip this Wendy's and head to one of the nearby McDonald's locations instead. Like most fast food places, this Wendy's has its own free parking lot; it is also attached to a convenience store, which carries several auto and do-it-yourself-like equipment. read more

It's a little on the slow side and the employees don't seem to care too much whether or not you get your order right as the two times I've been here everyone's orders have been wrong and they took a long time to fix it. Wendy's/Pilot Travel Center Is the circus in town? Or is this where the circus calls home? Fatty & I stopped here for a bite at Wendy's and some caffeine for the drive back to L.A. After ordering the spicy chicken sandwich combo for me and cheeseburger combo for himself, Fatty excused himself to the head in the Pilot side. I grabbed serve-yourself ketchups, straws, and napkins, found a table which gave me the corner view to observe the freaks that were leaving and entering the joint. When Fatty came back from the loo, at practically the same time we asked each other, "Are you noticing all the freaks in here??!!" He then comments that we may be near a leaking nuclear reactor. I ask him if he has ever seen Erin Brockovich. Food was not horrible, but not spectacular. The Pilot store is a road traveler's dream with all kinds of goodies to enjoy behind the wheel or to throw in the back seats to keep the kiddies happy. This has to be the worst Wendy's I've been to because of the service. There were ~3 parties in front of me in line, but you would've thought there were 30 people because the service was so slow. When I finally got to order, the woman taking my order was unbelievably slow. I wanted 3 things - chili, chicken nuggs, fries. I had to repeat each thing 3 times. She had the blankest look on her face each time I said more than one thing. So I seriously had to say each thing separately - 3 times. Felt a tad peckish on my way back from visiting my son in law in jail so I decided to stop off for a quick salad. The decor is stylish and I particularly loved the tasteful spattering of spooky Halloween decorations. I had a large Taco salad and a large frosty with extra ranch; both of which were delicious, although I would recommend asking for the frosty and ranch separately. Love Wendy's, but not this one. We have stopped here before going between LA and the Bay. First time service was horrible, and the food and drinks weren't any better. Last month thinking maybe it was just a bad day for them last time we were there, we decided to give them another try. So we stopped in on our way down to LA.
