3 different times I've been thru the drive thru, but the last time was the icing on the cake! No cars in front of me, the worker was rushing me and very rude, I drove off and did not even dare to try the food after that. Now I understand why there was no line! My receipt shows the correct food but unfortunately these were both delivery orders. The small frosty is on sale again for $.50. What a deal? This year when you ask for a small frosty, you are given a junior frosty, instead of a small frosty. The frosty is usually not cold and firm, but runny. They usually don't fill it all the way up. And when they give you your change back, they usually short change you, figuring that you won't count your change anyway. This Wendy's is terrible. they were very rude. We had ordered on the app. When we got to the speaker she told us they didn't have anything but diet drink. We asked if they had tea and they didn't have it. How do you not have any tea made and just have diet drink. Plus on the app they don't let people know theres just diet drinks. So after having a big confusing conversation about how they didn't have anything but diet drinks when asked if we could get the drinks took off since they didn't have anything else. they told us that they couldn't do it and we could. When we asked how they said I don't know but you can. But there was no other way to do it. The manager threw her arms in the air then walked away. read more

8/2/16 Ordered chicken sandwiches fried fresh- they were not. Ordered Dave's single w/ onions only- came with everything, cold, cheese not melted. Rolls were stale yet were grilled just shy of burned. Lettuce wilted Service while not actually rude was at the same time not friendly or courteous. Did not complain because management- by the reviews they know the restaurant is sub-standard (a local said this place was slow and didn't get the orders correctly- he was right on both counts) 1/5/19 UPDATE: Since time has elapsed since my last review and the restaurant has been completely remodeled I decided to give it another try. My wife and I entered at about 0710 PM on 1/5/2019 to order sandwiches. I observed 3 - 4 team members working behind the counter. Very little communication between team members because some had head-sets for the drive thru. Though a little slow, everyone was working. The person in front of us left so I was able to observe team performance for about 10 minutes at the counter. A tall team member with some long straight artificial red hair (Qupie-Doll Troll red hue) was reaching into the chicken nugget area (next to the fries) with bare hands and loading containers. I did a double take but remained quiet and continued to observe this for several more cycles. It should be noted that the person could have used tongs or the French fry funnel scoop but he chose not to, instead relying on fingers and palms. None of the other team members directly observed this unsanitary behavior but they should have been aware the person was not wearing gloves as they were doing and they chose not to correct the matter so I consider this a team / management failure. I could have pulled out my cell phone and recorded the behavior but chose not to cause a potential scene. The store security cameras and other observations from the now long line will do. I turned to my wife and said let's have burgers at home. As we left the man behind me said "Tired of waiting?" I replied "No, the team member is handling food with bare hands, see for your self." We left the store at about 0725 PM. Chick Filet and Wendy's are my favorite 'true' fast food chains. The remodeled restaurant was not sufficient to overcome a first & second line management who can't or won't maintain corporate standards. In their defense maybe with unemployment so low they can't hire responsible people for the wage they offer. Additionally I did not bring it to their attention to correct on the spot because they were understaffed and I wished to not create a scene resulting in even slower service for those in line. It's not the job of the customer to force the staff to do the right thing (and who want's to potentially receive adulterated food for their trouble). Had the pace been faster I might not have had the time to observe and verify the unsanitary behavior. Regarding the speed of service the team was understaffed as mentioned, however a cohesive team learns to hustle during busy times. Hustle was not in this team's dictionary. This was long but I tried to stick to the facts before offering an opinion. There are other Wendy's and every Chick Filet I've patronized has had much higher team standards. read more

I've lived in Leesburg for 25 years and this has been the best Wendy's in Central FL for me. They were open the day after a hurricane when everyone was out of power (they looked like they were up all night too!) serving the community hot coffee and food. Even today, a small fry was put on the tray instead of a medium and before we could even get up to correct it someone brought us the medium fry. The place is always clean (unlike the one by the mall that has a weird smell) too. read more

I have had great success with this Wendy's during the past month. They are really trying. The "new" drive up really helps.

I guess some things have changed. This is by far the friendliest and cleanest Wendy's location of the 3 around. There is a location in Lady Lake and one on the other side of Leesburg. Go to this one if you have the choice. Trust me! read more

Food is good for the price and the employees are nice, but that new parking lot is way to confusing. Like going around those circles in the Villages, but with a drive thru window in the center island. I will go to the one in the Villages on Rt 27 rather than deal with that confusion. I ordered Chili. The staff quickly popped a tray with a partially filled cup on the counter. I looked at the staff and realized there was an attitude that I would not want to confront to ask for a full cup. Racist attitude and I am white. Next time I will ask for my money back and walk away. I contacted the Wendy's text customer service line with a photo of the order. They agreed I was short changed, but I did not receive a reply from the manager until the next day offering to replace the chili. I live 25 miles away so that was not practical. Bad experience I don't want to go through again. Just avoid Wendy's. read more

You really need to make it clear to these people when you're ordering. For example, on their menu they have the 1/2LB Double and the Double Stack. THESE ARE TWO DIFFERENT BURGERS. I know that, but no one there seems to. Without exaggerating, maybe half the time the give me the other burger. I guess it's ok as the price difference between the two burgers is big and I would never let them charge me more for a smaller burger, so they're the ones losing out each time. read more
