I was surprised to see that they have booths to eat inside. This was my first time picking up an order at a Marco's. I ordered the pizza bowl, which is basically all the toppings on a pizza, without any crust. I swapped the meats for lower calorie meats, grilled chicken and steak instead of pepperoni and sausage. There is not an extra charge to do this, which is nice. Also, I think the pizza bowls here are much better than the papa bowls at Papa Johns. You get much more with Marco's version and it was very tasty. The other item was the meatball sub. The subs are footlong subs and packed full with cheese, meat and sauce. My son said it was very good. He just asked me to request less sauce next time as it had a little kick to it. The order was ready within minutes of placing it. Pick up was easy and the staff was attentive and prompt as soon as I walked in the door.

No greeting at the menu, no repeating of the order, no information on total. Just a very blunt "what's your order?" and "2nd window"..... and then when pulled up to the window, no greeting, no verification of order, no confirmation of total. The kid just sticks out his hand waiting for payment, and then gives us the food without any confirmation if we had received all of our items. I asked if that was everything, I get a look of "of course that's everything" and not even a "thank you, come again" or "have a nice night." The job doesn't ask for much, and those things are very bare minimum customer service etiquette that he can't even provide. The food, on the other hand, delicious. But the kid needs to have training in customer service.

I hate having to write a bad review, especially for Steak 'n Shake. This used to be the place to…read morego. Growing up, we would go all the time, sit down, enjoy our food, and actually spend time in the restaurant with friends and family. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill so much that I can't let this experience go unnoticed. You can't even sit inside and enjoy your meal anymore, and now you're ordering from a computer instead of having the experience Steak 'n Shake was once known for. But what made this visit even worse was the fact that our order was wrong through the drive-thru -- and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Mistakes happen. That's understandable. What's NOT understandable is how the situation was handled when we brought it up. Instead of simply replacing the incorrect items, we were basically told to take the items off and eat it. That is not acceptable customer service. It's honestly a sad excuse for what used to be a great fast-food restaurant. Steak 'n Shake has lost so much of what made it special, especially since sit-down dining was taken away. The food and service experience just isn't what it used to be, and unfortunately, it seems I'm not the only one who has noticed. It's not in my nature to leave a bad review, but this experience needs to be addressed. Sometimes you have to speak up and give your two cents when a place has gone this far downhill. I truly hope someone at Steak 'n Shake takes these reviews seriously, because the brand I remember growing up with deserves better than this.

My boys enjoyed their meal with plenty of leftovers for later. The nuggets were a bit bland and the tenders were crispy, although a bit on the dry side but nothing sauce can't take care of. The meal came with 6 sauces so I ordered one of each because why not? They did not provide any napkins and only 2 forks. I can't imagine this is a meal for 2 people. There was so much food. More like enough for 4 people. I wish they included honey and butter packets automatically. There may have been a spot on the app but I didn't notice it.

It's a fast food restaurant with workers who try their best and probably deal with more attitude in one than all the "Real Housewives" of North America combined. It's a chain fast food, so you want quality, pay more and go somewhere else. But if you want salty, fast service by people who will make your order right if you tell them what they did wrong, this McDonald's is best. I would rather come here for a happy meal than go to any BK location in area because this restaurant at least hires competent people who appear to be sober. But like I said, manager expectations. It is the largest fast food chain, and most of the food comes from frozen ingredients. If you want high-quality highfalutin, then you need to find somewhere else and pay more.
