We are not locals and just happened by here, and so glad we did. The people at the drive thru were so sweet to us and our dogs. The food was incredible and the portions were enormous! I went out of my way to try Krispy's based on the reviews here on Yelp. Not to be contrary, but I don't see what the fuss is about. The food IS good, but I wouldn't call it great. If I'm by there and in the mood for fried chicken, I'd go back, but that's about it. I've had better. Once again it's good, but not great. read more

This place is one that you may miss as you drive by. The they are currently servicing via drive thru only due to COVID. I stopped here on the way to golf and simply did not want any burger/fries meal. The chicken is delicious! I happened to order the chicken sandwich which is served on a soft bakery style bun and a slaw type topping. The Chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and moist delicious inside. The fries were no joke, they were surprisingly very good too. The price is very reasonable for a meal or stay alone item. The service very friendly and fast. Go inside and it's old school restaurant;tables that are rickety and a big buffet of veggies and hot sides: collard greens, corn,chicken salad that's spicy,mash and gravy. They have Pepsi products and sweet tea. Dessert? Deep fried fritters, and yes they can be dipped in honey. I stopped in with my son-in-law, daughter and grandson and immediately agreed with some of the other reviewers that the age of the building makes you feel like the restaurant is dirty. The staff was very busy, friendly and efficient. We all picked two piece meals with fries and coleslaw. The fried chicken was hot and super crispy. For me ...I thought that it was exceptionally tasty and the freshness put it over the top. Even though I really liked it I am not a fried chicken fan so I looked to my daughter and son-in-law for their opinion. They LOVED it and would gladly return. Not convinced I purchased "to go" meals for my son, oldest daughter and another son-in-law. I dropped each meal off on my way home.
