Hot dog with relish, onions, and tomatoes with chips

Unfortunately, it took a while for the food at Portillo's to come. I had to wait for over two hours for it to be delivered at my job. Once I finally received it, I thought it looked okay. It was good, but I wish that the hotdog had more flavor and look more appealing. For me personally, I would not go back. However, it is all based on others point of view, which I highly respect. The atmosphere is unknown to me since Portillo's lunch was more of a delivery to my job.

Great fun place to have a bite to eat! First time here with friends- I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was scrumptious! Hubby had Italian sandwich which he really enjoyed. Highly recommend

Pretty good burger and fries. Especially the fries. Flavor galore. Staff always pleasant. Noise level is a bit elevated due to the warehouse effect

Italian Beef with fries & a drink.
    Teri H.

The Italian Beef was delicious. I got it with regular gravy. That was still enough to drip down the bun. IYKYK. Yumm. The restaurant was clean and bright. I happened to be the 1st customer of the day. Sounds crazy but I'd just been to another early appointment so it just worked that way. The staff were all really nice.

All Portillos are amazing! Different decor & set up but same food! We're from Chgo & miss Portillos beef & dogs so much, soooo yummy. Get the beef dipped & hot peppers on the side, you can't go wrong, sandwich stays strong & doesn't fall apart. We also always get the cheese fries, soooo good!

Normally, I have a great experience here so I'm not going to rate it a 3, which would be based on this most recent experience. However, I usually would rate them a 5 so we will go with a 4, since it is my first review here apparently. This time around, we ordered the beef and cheese croissant for $8.79. I realize the stock picture is all about marketing the item and making it look good but it would've been nice if it looked at least half as good as the picture. It really fell short though. There was plenty of beef so I will give them that but they really failed on the cheese. It probably had a few shreds of cheddar cheese on it. Also, the croissant was mushy from soaking the liquid from the meat. I don't think they even toasted it, definitely not toasted on the inside based on the mushy interior. I ordered it as everything which I assumed included peppers but apparently it does not and you have to add the peppers for an extra cost. That is my fault though for not reading the menu correctly. The beef was as expected just very plain thinly sliced beef. If they had added the appropriate amount of cheese, it would have helped the flavor. I almost added ketchup, oh my... lol This location is very clean with the typical 50s diner feel. Nostalgic decor all around. Plenty of booths and tables to sit at. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they had an option to pick up mobile orders through the drive through. You currently have to park and go inside.

This was my first time visiting any Portillo's location. My first stop upon entering was the men's room. It was super clean. Very impressed. The dining area is spacious with lots of high back booths and regular tables. The decor is vintage diner vibe. Service was excellent. I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink. The food was hot and fresh. The burger did not disappoint. It had good flavor. It was also a regular sized patty. I was tempted to get a double but the single was perfect.

    So tempting...

Last year they had us try salad's and it was pretty good. But getting to try what they're known for, was a better move. I tried the chili cheese hot dog, with fries and a drink. I was really tempted to try the strawberry lemon cake milk shake, but...my trainer would not forgive me! The hotdog was pretty good. Little messy as to be expected but a good chili to cheese ratio. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy! Crinkle if you're a fry connoisseur. Also, the young lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful, all smiles even before mentioning Yelp! I'm a sucker for good customer service and everyone seemed on it.

My regular Chicago hotdog with chocolate milkshake.

After a great ride in Brooksville, I was pretty hungry and looking for a quick and cheap place to eat. Portillos was on the way back home, so I decided to stop by on a Wednesday afternoon. There was no line at the counter, so I stared at the screen for a minute or two, then ordered the regular Chicago dog (about 4 dollars), and the small chocolate milk shake (about 4.30). I paid by cash at the counter and waited for my order. There is a separate area to pick up the order, and it took about 5 to 10 minutes to receive my food and drink. I then went to table to sit down and eat. The hotdog was loaded with various toppings like onions, tomatoes, a large pickle, and peppers as well. The hotdog was delicious and the meat itself was plump, juicy, and flavorful. I don't know if it was beef or pork (or combination of various meats), but I really enjoyed it. It got messy with all the toppings, so I ate most of them separately, which was fresh and great. The seasonings and condiments accompanied the dog very well. Add the poppy seed bun was soft without falling apart. It was such a wonderful hotdog that I should have paid a dollar more for the larger version. The milkshake was also refreshing and delicious. It was thick without being too difficult to drink from the straw. It was chocolatey as well, and tasted like it came from real ice cream than a mixer. I enjoyed it on my drive home too! The attendant who took my order was a bit indefferent, but still friendly. She did suggest that chocolate flavor for the milkshake was popular, and I am glad I took her advice. The people who handed my order were also friendly and helpful. You do have to bus your own tables as this is a self service restaurant. The place looked clean and there were many tables, including some outside. Oldies rock music where in the background, and the place wasn't too loud. Parking was plentiful and easy. Drive thru was also available. I am amazed that Portillos serves amazing hotdogs and great shakes. The prices were reasonable and the service was fine. I am glad I tried this place out. This is a very nice place for great hotdogs in the Clermont area. Overall: A

The food was awesome for fast food, but the real MVP was the staff--especially Geronimo! He was super friendly, gave top-notch customer service, and helped us out since it was our first time there. We went through the drive-thru, and it was quick and smooth--no complaints at all! You have to try the Chicago dog and their ranch--seriously so good! 100% recommend this place. We'll definitely be back! * I devoured my food before taking pictures lol, but I did get a picture of my sister's salad which she loved too!

Born and raised in Chicago, for me Portillo's is home the Cub's, especially when they put a Portillo's in Mesa, Arizona for Cubs spring training, so needless say I was more than excited when the put two here in Orlando. In my open Portillo's has the best beef sandwich, and or course Chicago style hotdogs, and Maxwell street sausage is fantastic. Portillo's is from the bottom of my heart the very best foot and the best service. I couldn't recommend them more. Make it your family tradition too.

Famous Meal #1 Italian Beef Sandwich with fries
    Katie G.

I just love Portillo's! I recently got an Italian sandwich and it was out of this world. Highly recommend asking it for it with extra sauce. I also got a side of fries, which are always crispy and very salty which I enjoy. I was reading their Yelp page before I read the review and it said that it had a "world fair vibe" I absolutely love this and cannot agree more. Highly recommend coming here, especially with family because there are a ton of options for people of all ages. I've yet to come in and sit down and dine in, but I will do that in the future.

Got to try Portillo's thanks to Yelp! Had the Chicken Pecan Salad with a side of fries. The chicken was flavorful, I really enjoyed the Honey Peppercorn dressing. The were perfectly seasoned. The staff was friendly. Would go back to try the hotdogs or burgers.

The menu had some interesting sandwich and burger options at pretty decent price points. My husband ordered a burger and enjoyed it. I decided to try the lobster grilled cheese, which sounded too good to pass up. When it came out, the lobster was chilled and the cheese wasn't melted, which definitely caught me by surprise. Our waitress mentioned it was supposed to be melted, but since I'm not one to play roulette with sending food back, I just went ahead and ate it. Even with that surprise, the flavors were still good and I left satisfied. The venue itself is large and nicely themed, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. The bar is well stocked and the bartender was friendly about the specials on offer, and encouraged me to try one. I ended up trying the London Fog seasonal cocktail, which was Gin based, and I enjoyed it greatly. Once at a table, we were promptly greeted by our server and we put in an order for the sweet potato poutine, and while fantastic, my partner and I both commented that we wished there was more of a layering effort for the poutine in order to have the toppings more spread out instead of just on top. I got the espresso bourbon glazed filet, from the seasonal menu, my partner got the lobster grilled cheese with a side of the 6 cheese Mac and cheese, because that was the other item they really wanted to try, so it was a fantastic option to have as part of the premium sides. my filet was fantastic, I was super pleased with the temperature of my steak, as well as the flavors present, and the sides were cooked to perfection. My partner's lobster grilled cheese was great as well, it was disappearing so quickly I had to remind them to let me have a bite (they had stolen a bite of my filet as well... fair's fair, right?). I can also see why the 6 cheese Mac and cheese continues to be a crowd favorite, as the many cheeses used are well balanced to pack a lot of flavor. We visited on a fairly cold day, so though the outside had some heaters on, no one appeared to be sitting out there until the entire dining room was full, and quite a few came inside to stand at the bar and "warm up" for a few minutes, which was understandable. Service was top notch, food was delicious, and ambiance was exactly what I wanted out of a good gastropub. Can't wait to return
