Just really great pizza! I did a make your own and got mushrooms, onions with a balsamic glaze. It came our fresh, hot, and the size of the pizza was great. Friendly service and located right next to the brewery in downtown Clermont in case you wanted food + drinks.

After stopping at 2 other wood fired pizzeria's in the past several weeks (Pizza Bruno and Antica Pizza); i went to the Plant street market to get a pizza from Michael's Ali Coal Fired pizza to compare the Coal vs. Wood experience. TBH, I've had this pizza before, but recently saw Dave Portnoy give it a poor rating (One Bite Review - Youtube Jan 3, 2022) and i had to try it again. The pie had some burnt crust, but wasn't prominent as the 2 wood fired pies. I've had several coal fired versions that were significantly better - unfortunately, this was lacking in flavor and that "oomph" mouth feel. I had the rare experience of not finishing the pizza and feeding to the dogs - oof. When you're sitting outside drinking a beer at Crooked Can, this is a decent alternative to the barbeque, but when you're comparing to several other top-notch pizzerias in town, this is runner up.

Very nice thin crust wood fired pizza joint that is part of a multi restaurant eatery in downtown Clermont. During this dining excursion our small group ordered the Kitchen Sink pizza (pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, red onion, red pepper, extra cheese, fresh garlic finish) and the Carnivore pizza (pepperoni, sausage, ham, salami, bacon). The pizza's were well made and the ingredients on both pizza's were very fresh, with plenty of cheese and most importantly excellent taste. The other key aspect of these pizza's were the subtle added flavor of the smoked wood and the hallmark darkened edges on the crust that are associated with this type of pizza which I so enjoy! Aside from the excellent pizza, I really enjoyed the open air dining area on the porch of the eatery which really added a lot to the dining experience especially during the beautiful evening when we dined there. Overall this is definately one of the better pizzerias in the area and one you should try if you are in the Clermont area, especially if you are a fan of thin crust wood fired pizza.

Had to stop in for another takeout of our favorite pizza. The Boss. Even though we could eat inside we also grabbed a few cans of beer from SunCreek and enjoyed the open air of downtown Clermont. Pizza is fantastic and really goes well with a pint of Sol Sp Update June 2020: still a great pizza. Pairs so good with Sun Creek Sol Splitter. Nice music and chillin tonight with my Lovie

Ordered a pepperoni pizza, $17. Crust was a bit card board like with reasonably good flavor. Sauce was ok. Overall a solid 3 Wings were huge disappointment. $15 hot 10 of the smallest, dried out wings I've ever had. Sauce was pretty good. About 12"in size. Overall a 1 Pretzel - $6. Tasted like a store bought frozen pretzel, cheese sauce also grocery store. Overall a 2 The meal was expensive food court meal, not worth it. Total was $42 before tip.

Stopped here on an early afternoon, it wasn't busy. Food took a bit to come out, but it was good regardless! The pizza we chose was so good, very flavorful, but I would be open to other flavors. I was a little disappointed by the sliders, one had a piece of chicken the size of a chicken nugget, there was more bread than chicken! The pickles were pretty good and I wouldn't mind ordering a side of them. Fries were perfectly fried, loved it. Would be back for food!

Pizza was made to order so it was fresh and hot. The cheese was great quality and the crust was excellent. My only complaint is the white pizza has no sauce and an overwhelming amount of spinach underneath the cheeses

We stopped in at the brewery and were hungry, we wanted to eat as we drank. I ordered the American burger and was totally disappointed. How do you mess up a burger? Well let me explain. First of all the burger was so well done that it had no taste whatsoever. I ordered it with smoked Gouda and there was barely enough cheese to cover half the burger. After getting a warm beer then a overcooked burger with barely any cheese and salty, I was just done. I'm not sure if it was just the burger but I will not be visiting again to give them another chance.

My family and I ordered a couple of pizzas from Michael's Ali Coal Fired Pizza while visiting Suncreek Brewery next door. The pizzas were a perfect compliment to the beers. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was topped with flavorful and gooey mozzarella, provolone, and gorgonzola cheeses, tender roast chicken, spicy hot sauce, and a nice touch of crisp celery. The Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza was also delicious with flavorful pepperoni, tender mushrooms, gooey cheese, and flavorful basil. The pizza crust for both was thin with a lightly charred crust.

I've visited this pizza place on several occasions. They consistently serve a delicious pizza cooked just right. The staff is friendly and they appear to work hard. On my last visit I ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza. The crust was nice and crispy and it was loaded with chicken and blue cheese. It had just enough hot sauce to balance out the strong taste of the cheese. It's an excellent pie and one that I will order often. At the last minute I added a pretzel with cheese dipping. I saw someone else take a bite out of one and it looked pretty tasty. The pretzel was good but it definitely tasted like a convenience product.

Chicken fingers, crispy on the outside and pull apart inside

I think this is located in downtown Clermont. It's next to Suncreek Brewery, which is a small spot and Lake County's first brewery! They have another location in the Plant Street market in Winter Garden. It's a bit on the expensive side. Chicken fingers- 5 pieces; nice and crispy on the outside and pull apart and hot on the inside. The BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup with a little tang. Poutine- I've had real Canadian pouting so this wasn't it, but it was okay. I didn't notice there was any gravy until I got to the bottom of the dish, which was disappointing. It was so light that it didn't stick to anything. The cheese curds were tasty but the French fries were soggy. We added pork belly to it and got a total of 15 piece of thumb-to-pinky-sized pork belly pieces. You can count them in the attached picture.

Our waitress mentioned it was supposed to be melted, but since I'm not one to play roulette with sending food back, I just went ahead and ate it. Restaurant was not overly busy and had plenty of staff to accommodate the small amount of guests. Waited almost an hour for our food with no apology from management. When our burgers were delivered our server claimed the kitchen made our burgers incorrectly- she either forgot to put it in or it had been sitting for quite sometime. Top burger bun was luke warm. Fries (that were an additional cost) were burnt. For the $17 price one would expect more than a thin slice of bacon for a burger with bacon in the name. "Enjoyed" the meal without anything to drink as I was never offered a refill of water.

The sauces lacked depth--especially the mayo, which overpowered dishes instead of complementing them--and there was a noticeable absence of salt across the board. Even the ramen fell flat in terms of flavor. If you're someone who eats ramen regularly, you'll immediately notice what's missing. The birria was especially disappointing. It had an overpowering smoky aroma and flavor but none of the rich, savory depth you expect from real birria. It smelled strong but tasted hollow. The fried vegetables were very fresh, which I appreciated, but they were simply battered and fried with no seasoning, so the freshness didn't translate into flavor. The takoyaki (octopus balls) were mostly batter and breading, with only a tiny piece of octopus inside--definitely not what they should be. On the positive side, the eating area was very clean, and the portion sizes were reasonable for the price. That said, being charged extra for a refill served in a small cup felt unnecessary and off-putting. This place may appeal to someone who doesn't eat ramen often or is looking for something "different," but for anyone familiar with well-seasoned ramen, birria, or Japanese street food, the lack of flavor is hard to overlook.
