Ordered for delivery. Delivered through Grubhub. All of my requests, two with the food order and 1 with grubhub, were not completed. Mushrooms of half the pizza instead of all of it. For my salad, no carrots and extra dressing. Both of which were not honored. I asked the grubhub driver to knock on the door so we knew he was there. This pizza place ranks really low out of all the pizza places that I have been to. We ordered the barbecue wings and the carne di italia pizza. The food took forever to come out. I understand that it does take some time to bake a pizza, but it took at least 45 minutes before our wings came out, and then we had to wait some more for our pizza to come out. During our waiting time, we even witnessed another person, who got there before us, leave because his order took too long. Our server came over a lot to apologize for the wait and to keep assuring us that our food would come out soon. The food did come out fresh and hot so that is a plus. The size and quantity of the wings though was small and kind of pricey for what you get. There's nothing special about the wings. It was oven baked and the skin was not crispy at all. I make wings all the time, so I know it is definitely possible to have crispy wings when you oven bake them. The pizza came out next, and it was definitely not the best pizza that I have tasted. The pizza was super soggy on the bottom. It was impossible to eat by hand without the pizza falling apart, so I had to eat the pizza with a fork and knife. This is in a plaza with Jimmy Johns and a few other places. They have 5 outdoor tables, most with umbrellas. The y require masks and have the inside tables spaced well apart for COVID. Ordered the Mediterranean salad which is perfect to share, enough for 2 or 3 people. The ingredients were all very fresh Also got a pizza with ham & pineapple (the Hawaiian on the menu includes bacon). The crust was good and the toppings were fresh. Fair amount of cheese. I wasn't crazy about the sauce, it wasn't bad, just didn't have the usual pizza sauce flavor. I am from CT and we have some of the best pizza in the United States, just look at all the food channels and how they rate our pizza in comparison to others. Visiting the Clermont area has always been tough because you just can't get a good pizza in town. Finally we visited this place and I must say that it was really good. Our waitress brought out menus and waters fairly quick. We purchased Flippers Big Pie. It came with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, ham, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives and red onions. It was delicious and the crust was a little on the crunchy side. We also ordered a California Classic. It was topped with a basil pesto sauce, red onions, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach and artichoke. Both pizzas were wonderful but the California Classic was the favorite. The pesto sauce was amazing and made the pizza very unique. We tried some of the oven baked wings with a honey BBQ sauce. They were just average. I have been a customer of Flipper's since 2010. I will not be back. I ordered for takeout. The pizza was ready when I arrived, but I had to wait another 10 minutes for the salad. I ordered a pizza with normal sauce, there was barely any sauce or toppings. The salad tomatoes were not fresh, they were all crushed up. I also ordered my salad without onions, they were on top of the salad. I notified the store about the salad before I had an opportunity to see the pizza. My wife enjoyed her Stromboli, but it wasn't classic or filled the way I feel it should be. My veggie calzone was fresh, but it ultimately seemed like veggies folded into a store bought wrap. Since discovering Flippers, we haven't even tried any other pizza options in the Orlando area. We've had pizza from the Clermont location about 5-6 times and it's consistently great pizza. I'm not sure they know the difference between a roasted grape tomato and Roma tomatoes, and there was one other mistake, but everything else is so consistent that I can only give 5 stars. The team at Flippers was quick to answer their phone and take down my order. We got one medium specialty pizza and one small cheese pizza. It was around $26 for both. They were prompt and even though the actual location looked slammed when I arrived, the pizza was ready when they said it would be (20 minutes). I'd like to try some of their other pizzas and/or sandwiches. I was impressed with the taste of the pizza, good service and courteous and efficient staff. This time we must have hash different cooks. The pizza had lots of flop. The flavor was good. I like the crust and saunas fresh vegetables. I could not believe the price, $67.00 for one large 3 toppings, one large 5 toppings and one small gluten free two toppings pizza. This is very expensive!
