I thought the selection was more than adequate and although the food wasn't necessarily 5 star, I had no complaints. They had chocolate and vanilla cake for desert as well. The show was in two parts, the first consisting mostly of singing. I felt like there was a problem with the announcer's microphone because everything sounded muffled. It completely gave out and he tried shouting, but no one could hear him. Later he came out with another which was much better. This restaurant is located in the main building at the Polynesian resort which is very conveniently located on the monorail line. We were seated right at our reservation time. The dining room is large and bustling. The tables are close together, so there is not a ton of privacy. Our server was very friendly and helpful and explained that this is an "all you care to enjoy" dining experience which in Disney language means they will keep bringing you more food if you want it. I tried the Mai Tai cocktail (included with the dining plan) which was a truly authentic, tasty, and strong drink! You start with a platter of their famous Ohana noodles and other small items like gyoza and chicken wings. The famous noodles are truly very good and wonderfully flavored. Next they will bring you a platter of assorted entree items including shrimp, beef, and chicken. The beef was tender and a nice and flavorful sauce, but I actually enjoyed the chicken more which was a thin and flavorful grilled boneless breast.
