5 stars - Absolute hidden gem on Beach Street! We had the best time at the Polynesian Fire Luau (Hawaiian Luau) on Beach Street in Daytona Beach and cannot recommend it enough. This place completely exceeded our expectations. Jim, the host, was fantastic -- so informative and entertaining as he shared stories about life in the Polynesian Islands. He kept the energy high the whole night and made everything feel warm and personal. Every single performer was incredibly talented. The dancing, music, and overall show were top-notch. A special shout-out has to go to Noah. When a torrential downpour hit as we were leaving, he went way above and beyond to help us get safely to our car. That kind of genuine care and hospitality is rare, and it really sealed the night for us. The wait staff was professional, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. The decor was wonderful -- you truly feel transported the moment you walk in. And the food? Solid and satisfying. Everything came together for a memorable night. I went here with family expecting an authentic Polynesian/Hawaiian buffet and a good show. At $50 per person, I expected MUCH better. The food was honestly terrible. Nothing tasted fresh or authentic. The crab salad used imitation crab instead of real crab. The macaroni salad had an absurd amount of mayo, the vegetables tasted like frozen vegetables that had simply been reheated, and the rice tasted processed. Even the desserts were disappointing. I took one bite of the chocolate cake and it tasted like cheap, processed cake. The drinks were also ridiculously strong, which honestly made me wonder if they were trying to get everyone drunk enough not to notice how bad the food was. The food actually made me so sick that I ended up vomiting. Then came the customer service issue. Before the performance even started, I took a quick photo of my own drink on my table with the flash on mind you im sitting in the back of the room. I wasn't photographing the stage or performers, and there wasn't even a performance happening at that moment. An employee came over with a very rude attitude about my phone. I completely understand not allowing flash photography during a performance, but there was absolutely no reason to approach me the way she did when nothing was happening yet. I also witnessed her physically touch another customer's phone during the performance, which I found completely inappropriate. After that interaction, I honestly lost interest in the show. Then one of the performers called out someone in the back for being on their phone and not clapping. I knew they were talking about me, so I waved because at that point I really didn't care. There was also a safety issue at the exit. There were four large flower pots placed directly near the doorway where customers were exiting. One of my family members actually tripped over one of the pots and fell. Why have four large pots sitting in an area where people are walking in and out? They were completely unnecessary and created an obvious obstruction/hazard near the entrance/exit. Overall, this was a waste of $50 per person and our time. I expected fresh, authentic Polynesian food and a fun experience, and instead I got low-quality food, got sick, dealt with rude customer service, and witnessed an unsafe setup at the exit. I definitely would not recommend this place. I'm sure there are much better options for authentic Hawaiian/Polynesian food in the area. read more

We were greeted with a lei upon entering, smiling faces, and even an offer to take a group picture--a great way to start the evening. The drink selection was impressive, with something for just about everyone--Cosmos, espresso martinis, wine, beer, and an incredible variety of specialty drinks. Dinner was served buffet-style with a nice selection of fish, beef, chicken, and pork. I didn't get an opportunity to grab pictures of the food, but there were also a variety of salads and a delicious vegetable medley. Overall, it was a very good meal with plenty to choose from. The entertainment really added to the experience. Guests are even given the opportunity to go on stage and learn a dance, which was fun to watch and made the evening feel interactive. The gentleman who guided us through the evening was funny and engaging, with a soft, genuine voice and warm smile that made you want to listen to him. And the live music--absolutely beautiful. The voices and melodies were something I could have listened to all day. It created exactly the kind of relaxed, authentic atmosphere you hope to experience in Hawaii. The staff was on point throughout the evening--attentive, friendly, and always smiling. And to top it all off, the cake was delicious! We had a wonderful time. Doors opened at 7:30 and we were able to have delicious tiki drinks in a beautifully decorated lounge. Then our picture was taken as we entered the dining room and was available to purchase after the show. Food was a buffet and there were several salads, sides, meats, and cake. Non-alcoholic beverages were included. The service was great. The show was spectacular and worth the extra cost to sit closer to the stage. I highly recommend this experience. read more

Atmosphere and show was everything! Great staff who were on point. The performance was excellent. You can see the effort in everything they do. The food was alright. I was lucky enough to be in line at the buffet when they put up fresh chicken teriyaki. It wasn't even hot..?? So was the rice with mixed veggies. The macaroni salad was very sweet with sugar. Steam vegetables were alright, but definitely frozen kind. But the show was very good. Would never go for the food, but the show made it better. We took our 3 year old grandson to see the luau. The main speaker was entertaining. Our first experience was good. The show was okay. For the money it was good value. The food was okay as well. My favorite was the cake. The service was very good they have a large staff. The place was very roomy except for the tables have you looking at the stage at an angle. Drinks are available everywhere. We went to the Polynesian Fire Luau tonight and had a good time overall, but there are definitely a few things they could improve. The waiting area before the show was packed and really warm. They had a couple fans going, but a few others weren't even turned on, and there weren't enough seats for how many people were crammed in there. It made the wait feel longer and kind of uncomfortable. The show was listed as starting at 8 PM, but that's actually when they started letting people in. Every family was stopped for a photo at the entrance, which slowed everything down. I did appreciate that seats were pre-assigned, so you didn't have to fight the crowd or rush to grab a spot. That part was smooth. Once you're seated, you head to the buffet. The food was okay--not amazing, but not bad either. You're seated with your group or with other guests, depending on your party size, which can be hit or miss. The show itself started off a little slow with mellow music and pacing, but it really picked up toward the end. The finale was awesome--high energy, great performances, and definitely the highlight of the night. Dinner at 8 PM is already pretty late, and with the delays getting in, the whole evening ran long. If they streamlined the check-in and photo process, it would make a big difference. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The show was worth it, especially the ending, but they could definitely tighten up the logistics to make the experience smoother. read more

The show was wonderful. There are some very talented people in the show. The fire part of the show was amazing. Unfortunately the food was absolutely awful. The pulled pork was like soup and very fatty. The chicken had some kind of weird texture to it. Not sure what was up with that. The vegetables were overcooked. And it was utterly chaos and way too many people trying to get to the buffet line and back to their seats. Lots of talent on the stage with some natives of the islands that seemed to care about sharing their culture and its traditions. The fire was entertaining and for me scary. I definitely kept my eyes on the show and was ready to head to the exit if anything went wrong. Safety was a priority which was reassuring. The water in the ladies room sink was scalding hot. If you're going for the food you'll probably be a bit disappointed. If you're going for the show then it's a good mix of fire, dancing, audience participation and of course some comedic moments from the onstage performers. It's a buffet that also includes soft drinks and slices of cake for dessert. If you get there early there's a waiting area with a full bar and a couple of bartenders. Then they start letting folks in, stopping groups/couples for the obligatory photo opportunity and then escort you to your assigned seats. Once inside you belly up to the buffet and bring it back to your seats. We splurged the extra $10 per seat to sit up front, which was nice, because most folks did not so they were seated about 15 feet behind us. Regardless, I don't think you'll find a bad view no matter where you sit. Anyway, fun show, food was OK, bar is open before and during the show. read more

Awesome venue, great show, but they are extremely disrespectful to their patrons. Very disorganized with getting in line, photos, seating. The food is absolute garbage. It's basically a hospital cafeteria spread. Everything was pretty much cold on the buffet because they put it in the warmers like 10 minutes before they open the door so nothing has time to heat. Very unprofessional, disorganized, disrespectful to patrons and we won't be back. The photographer got combative with our group because we didn't want to wait in line for a photo, we wanted to be seated. Doors opened at 4, they had people waiting in like a lobby area, they had over an hour to do photos, just disorganized. Just not an enjoyable experience. Maybe the one in Orlando is better, but Daytona needs work. It's not worth the price. read more

You get a fun dining experience and knife throwing fire luau show for ~$55. Parking was pretty easy as there was plenty of street parking available. We were warmly greeted, received our leis, took a group photo, and directed to our assigned seats. We arrived at 6pm, right when the buffet was opening! If you arrive ahead of time, you can enjoy the bar and get situated while waiting. The show was getting started around 6:20pm and went through 8pm. The energy of the performers was incredible, the food was fresh and pretty solid, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Highly highly recommend! read more

This was an absolutely fun show and experience to take the family to. Very entertaining and the performers are very funny so it's a good laugh too. A couple things to note (from the eyes of parents with two little kids so keep that in mind). The show was a little on the long side which is usually great but the real fire part doesn't happen to the very end. They throw in a couple fire twirling/juggling acts in the middle but that's it until the end. So my kids (2 and 4) were getting a little antsy but did have fun dancing to the music and watching the performers. Second note is the food was very lackluster. It was not bad, but generally not very flavorful or anything to write home about. Overall it was a great show and I would recommend checking it out if you're looking for a different night out! read more

The experience overall was very good to excellent. The drinks are slightly overpriced but that is to be expected for a tourist attraction. Although overpriced the drinks were excellent. Our party size was four. In the beginning, the waiting room was slightly warm. Although commercial fans were running it needed some type of coolant agent. The entry waiting room was neat. It had a variety of Hawaiian tribal knick knacks that one can photograph with the family. Truly cute. My aunt was in awe with all the different artwork. The entry into the buffet room was delayed due to family photography being taken. Now I believe they should have two lines since it is predetermined seating. Some guests did not want the photography. There should be two lines with guiding escorts to their seating. Trust me I know why they do the photography only line. One it stops the mad rush that guests are prone to do when their isn't a delay and two it stops those people who think they don't "deserve to wait in a line" with the rest of the other guests from cutting ahead of the line. I personally saw this happen and my mental comment was "I am glad for the photography delay because that person only showed their entitled true color Now once inside the food was average. Pulled pork and tilapia were cooked very well while the steamed vegetables were over steamed and very bland. Macaroni salad was decent. I have to mention the table attendants: they were very courteous and extremely helpful. For me that was a pleasant surprise. In other venues or establishments their attitude is "Do not bother me I will get to you when I am good and ready" The show was fantastic. Although not perfect, some fire twirls were missed, still it was exhilarating. The energy that the cast exuded through this hour and half show was incredible and mesmerizing. These ladies and gentlemen have my admiration. Entertaining with fire isn't an easy task. The songs, and the tribal dances with the guest interactions, were both funny with cliche jokes, and enjoyable. In conclusion, I asked my aunts and my wife: "Would you come back knowing we would be watching the same show". We all said, including me, "HELL YES!!!" We are realists. Not every show will be perfect, not every meal will be perfect in a venue like this (a 5 star Michelin restaurant has a different expectation). This is family entertainment environment. Entertainment was high energy Drum beating gets loud and long. Consider ear protection. The fire act is good but if sensitive to post smell of accelerant that could be bothersome. The team brings humour where they can. Audience engagement but not embrassing. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 3 Normal high prices. They do add a automatic 20% tip to drink orders. No choice to do less. At the end of show ask to leave tip for those collecting dishes. another is put out for the entertainers. I enjoyed the food buffet style. Some have stated not favorable etc. I found it to be decent. Come with an appetite as it is all you can eat. 3. SERVICE = 5 Team stayed on top of food and collecting dishes after. Bartender was efficent. 4. BATHROOM = 5 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 3 Tipping at each juncture. Mandotory for Alcohol 20%. Price of show with tax and fees for two was $112.00. Plus tipping points. From what I could tell paying the extra $10 for premium seating would not be worth it. 6. POINTS 20 out 25. For us it exceeded expectations. Fun for the whole family! We visited as a group of 6: 2 grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 grandkids - 17 and 12. Convenient location in Daytona with lots of street parking. Staff members have leis waiting when you check in and the bar was busy with island drinks. Seating is based on when you reserve so we were right up front and had a great view. The buffet dinner was okay (fried tilapia, pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, meatballs, fried rice, mixed veggies, mac salad, fruit salad, and cake). Lots of self serve drinks too. Iced tea, lemonade, canned sodas. Everything was easy and fun. The dancers were excellent, the tone upbeat, and lots of laughs. Interactive too. All the men stood and learned the Hakka and the women hulaed. The grand finale were fire dancers who were excellent but the smoke was too much for some guests and the drumming was very loud.
