I didn't get an opportunity to grab pictures of the food, but there were also a variety of salads and a delicious vegetable medley. Overall, it was a very good meal with plenty to choose from. The entertainment really added to the experience. Guests are even given the opportunity to go on stage and learn a dance, which was fun to watch and made the evening feel interactive. The gentleman who guided us through the evening was funny and engaging, with a soft, genuine voice and warm smile that made you want to listen to him. And the live music--absolutely beautiful. The voices and melodies were something I could have listened to all day. It created exactly the kind of relaxed, authentic atmosphere you hope to experience in Hawaii. We had a wonderful time. Doors opened at 7:30 and we were able to have delicious tiki drinks in a beautifully decorated lounge. Then our picture was taken as we entered the dining room and was available to purchase after the show. Food was a buffet and there were several salads, sides, meats, and cake. We went to the Polynesian Fire Luau tonight and had a good time overall, but there are definitely a few things they could improve. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The waiting area before the show was packed and really warm. They had a couple fans going, but a few others weren't even turned on, and there weren't enough seats for how many people were crammed in there. It made the wait feel longer and kind of uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The show was listed as starting at 8 PM, but that's actually when they started letting people in. Every family was stopped for a photo at the entrance, which slowed everything down. I did appreciate that seats were pre-assigned, so you didn't have to fight the crowd or rush to grab a spot. That part was smooth. Once you're seated, you head to the buffet. The food was okay--not amazing, but not bad either. You're seated with your group or with other guests, depending on your party size, which can be hit or miss. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The show itself started off a little slow with mellow music and pacing, but it really picked up toward the end. The finale was awesome--high energy, great performances, and definitely the highlight of the night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dinner at 8 PM is already pretty late, and with the delays getting in, the whole evening ran long. If they streamlined the check-in and photo process, it would make a big difference. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The show was wonderful. There are some very talented people in the show. The fire part of the show was amazing. Unfortunately the food was absolutely awful. The pulled pork was like soup and very fatty. The chicken had some kind of weird texture to it. Not sure what was up with that. The vegetables were overcooked. And it was utterly chaos and way too many people trying to get to the buffet line and back to their seats. Buffet food was as expected for a Buffett dinner show for $60. The show was good. Lots of talent on the stage with some natives of the islands that seemed to care about sharing their culture and its traditions. The fire was entertaining and for me scary. I definitely kept my eyes on the show and was ready to head to the exit if anything went wrong. Safety was a priority which was reassuring. The water in the ladies room sink was scalding hot. If you're going for the food you'll probably be a bit disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're going for the show then it's a good mix of fire, dancing, audience participation and of course some comedic moments from the onstage performers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a buffet that also includes soft drinks and slices of cake for dessert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you get there early there's a waiting area with a full bar and a couple of bartenders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then they start letting folks in, stopping groups/couples for the obligatory photo opportunity and then escort you to your assigned seats. Once inside you belly up to the buffet and bring it back to your seats. Very unprofessional, disorganized, disrespectful to patrons and we won't be back. The photographer got combative with our group because we didn't want to wait in line for a photo, we wanted to be seated. Doors opened at 4, they had people waiting in like a lobby area, they had over an hour to do photos, just disorganized. Just not an enjoyable experience. You get a fun dining experience and knife throwing fire luau show for ~$55. Parking was pretty easy as there was plenty of street parking available. We were warmly greeted, received our leis, took a group photo, and directed to our assigned seats. We arrived at 6pm, right when the buffet was opening! If you arrive ahead of time, you can enjoy the bar and get situated while waiting. The show was getting started around 6:20pm and went through 8pm. The energy of the performers was incredible, the food was fresh and pretty solid, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Highly highly recommend! read more

The experience overall was very good to excellent. The drinks are slightly overpriced but that is to be expected for a tourist attraction. Although overpriced the drinks were excellent. Our party size was four. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In the beginning, the waiting room was slightly warm. Although commercial fans were running it needed some type of coolant agent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entry waiting room was neat. It had a variety of Hawaiian tribal knick knacks that one can photograph with the family. Truly cute. My aunt was in awe with all the different artwork.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The entry into the buffet room was delayed due to family photography being taken. Now I believe they should have two lines since it is predetermined seating. Some guests did not want the photography. There should be two lines with guiding escorts to their seating. Trust me I know why they do the photography only line. One it stops the mad rush that guests are prone to do when their isn't a delay and two it stops those people who think they don't "deserve to wait in a line" with the rest of the other guests from cutting ahead of the line. I personally saw this happen and my mental comment was "I am glad for the photography delay because that person only showed their entitled true color Now once inside the food was average. Pulled pork and tilapia were cooked very well while the steamed vegetables were over steamed and very bland. Macaroni salad was decent. I have to mention the table attendants: they were very courteous and extremely helpful. For me that was a pleasant surprise. In other venues or establishments their attitude is "Do not bother me I will get to you when I am good and ready" The show was fantastic. Although not perfect, some fire twirls were missed, still it was exhilarating. The energy that the cast exuded through this hour and half show was incredible and mesmerizing. These ladies and gentlemen have my admiration. Entertaining with fire isn't an easy task. The songs, and the tribal dances with the guest interactions, were both funny with cliche jokes, and enjoyable. In conclusion, I asked my aunts and my wife: "Would you come back knowing we would be watching the same show". We all said, including me, "HELL YES!!!" We are realists. Not every show will be perfect, not every meal will be perfect in a venue like this (a 5 star Michelin restaurant has a different expectation). This is family entertainment environment. This was an absolutely fun show and experience to take the family to. Very entertaining and the performers are very funny so it's a good laugh too. A couple things to note (from the eyes of parents with two little kids so keep that in mind). The show was a little on the long side which is usually great but the real fire part doesn't happen to the very end. They throw in a couple fire twirling/juggling acts in the middle but that's it until the end. So my kids (2 and 4) were getting a little antsy but did have fun dancing to the music and watching the performers. Second note is the food was very lackluster. It was not bad, but generally not very flavorful or anything to write home about. Large table seating. so enough room for people to sit. We sat with new people and chatted. The dining area has some single seating for two and long tables for bigger groups. Lighting is adequate. Entertainment was high energy Drum beating gets loud and long. Consider ear protection. The fire act is good but if sensitive to post smell of accelerant that could be bothersome. The team brings humour where they can. Audience engagement but not embrassing. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 3 Normal high prices. They do add a automatic 20% tip to drink orders. No choice to do less. At the end of show ask to leave tip for those collecting dishes. another is put out for the entertainers. I enjoyed the food buffet style. Some have stated not favorable etc. I found it to be decent. Come with an appetite as it is all you can eat. 3. SERVICE = 5 Team stayed on top of food and collecting dishes after. Bartender was efficent. 4. BATHROOM = 5 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 3 Tipping at each juncture. Mandotory for Alcohol 20%. Price of show with tax and fees for two was $112.00. Plus tipping points. From what I could tell paying the extra $10 for premium seating would not be worth it. 6. POINTS 20 out 25. For us it exceeded expectations. Fun for the whole family! We visited as a group of 6: 2 grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 grandkids - 17 and 12. Convenient location in Daytona with lots of street parking. Staff members have leis waiting when you check in and the bar was busy with island drinks. Seating is based on when you reserve so we were right up front and had a great view. The buffet dinner was okay (fried tilapia, pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, meatballs, fried rice, mixed veggies, mac salad, fruit salad, and cake). Lots of self serve drinks too. Iced tea, lemonade, canned sodas. Everything was easy and fun. The dancers were excellent, the tone upbeat, and lots of laughs. Interactive too. All the men stood and learned the Hakka and the women hulaed. The grand finale were fire dancers who were excellent but the smoke was too much for some guests and the drumming was very loud. There were two separate sections, one for hot and one for cold. The cold side had salads; fruit, green, macaroni and crab (which was AMAZING!!!). The hot side had fried rice, beef meatball, teri chicken, pulled pork, rolls and veggies. I thought the selection was more than adequate and although the food wasn't necessarily 5 star, I had no complaints. They had chocolate and vanilla cake for desert as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The show was in two parts, the first consisting mostly of singing. I felt like there was a problem with the announcer's microphone because everything sounded muffled. It completely gave out and he tried shouting, but no one could hear him.
