Atmosphere and show was everything! Great staff who were on point. The performance was excellent. You can see the effort in everything they do. The food was alright. I was lucky enough to be in line at the buffet when they put up fresh chicken teriyaki. It wasn't even hot..?? So was the rice with mixed veggies. The macaroni salad was very sweet with sugar. Steam vegetables were alright, but definitely frozen kind. But the show was very good. Would never go for the food, but the show made it better. If the food matched the show this place would be a big point of tourism.

We took our 3 year old grandson to see the luau. The main speaker was entertaining. Our first experience was good. The show was okay. For the money it was good value. The food was okay as well. My favorite was the cake. The service was very good they have a large staff. The place was very roomy except for the tables have you looking at the stage at an angle. Drinks are available everywhere. We did get some good pictures. We wouldn't do this again but would recommend for first timers.

Polynesian Fire Luau had a small pop up bar experience for Elvis. What a home run!!!! This place is themed extraordinary. We need to return for the dinner show.

We went to the Polynesian Fire Luau tonight and had a good time overall, but there are definitely a few things they could improve. The waiting area before the show was packed and really warm. They had a couple fans going, but a few others weren't even turned on, and there weren't enough seats for how many people were crammed in there. It made the wait feel longer and kind of uncomfortable. The show was listed as starting at 8 PM, but that's actually when they started letting people in. Every family was stopped for a photo at the entrance, which slowed everything down. I did appreciate that seats were pre-assigned, so you didn't have to fight the crowd or rush to grab a spot. That part was smooth. Once you're seated, you head to the buffet. The food was okay--not amazing, but not bad either. You're seated with your group or with other guests, depending on your party size, which can be hit or miss. The show itself started off a little slow with mellow music and pacing, but it really picked up toward the end. The finale was awesome--high energy, great performances, and definitely the highlight of the night. Dinner at 8 PM is already pretty late, and with the delays getting in, the whole evening ran long. If they streamlined the check-in and photo process, it would make a big difference. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The show was worth it, especially the ending, but they could definitely tighten up the logistics to make the experience smoother.

The show was wonderful. There are some very talented people in the show. The fire part of the show was amazing. Unfortunately the food was absolutely awful. The pulled pork was like soup and very fatty. The chicken had some kind of weird texture to it. Not sure what was up with that. The vegetables were overcooked. And it was utterly chaos and way too many people trying to get to the buffet line and back to their seats. The tables were so close together that one person had to sit down in order for another one to pass . I'm glad there wasn't an emergency.

If you're going for the food you'll probably be a bit disappointed. If you're going for the show then it's a good mix of fire, dancing, audience participation and of course some comedic moments from the onstage performers. It's a buffet that also includes soft drinks and slices of cake for dessert. If you get there early there's a waiting area with a full bar and a couple of bartenders. Then they start letting folks in, stopping groups/couples for the obligatory photo opportunity and then escort you to your assigned seats. Once inside you belly up to the buffet and bring it back to your seats. We splurged the extra $10 per seat to sit up front, which was nice, because most folks did not so they were seated about 15 feet behind us. Regardless, I don't think you'll find a bad view no matter where you sit. Anyway, fun show, food was OK, bar is open before and during the show.

Such an amazing experience and fun time with the family. The entertainers were definitely entertaining and hilaruous!! I had such a great time and it was worth the pay. The food was great, it might have just needed a little bit of salt but other than that it was very delicious. My kids enjoyed it and so did my parents so it was perfect for all ages. I might make this an annual experience

Awesome venue, great show, but they are extremely disrespectful to their patrons. Very disorganized with getting in line, photos, seating. The food is absolute garbage. It's basically a hospital cafeteria spread. Everything was pretty much cold on the buffet because they put it in the warmers like 10 minutes before they open the door so nothing has time to heat. Very unprofessional, disorganized, disrespectful to patrons and we won't be back. The photographer got combative with our group because we didn't want to wait in line for a photo, we wanted to be seated. Doors opened at 4, they had people waiting in like a lobby area, they had over an hour to do photos, just disorganized. Just not an enjoyable experience. Maybe the one in Orlando is better, but Daytona needs work. It's not worth the price.

Had a good time at the Polynesian Fire Luau last night! The dinner show was very entertaining with a kitschy good tiki vibe! Very talented dancers, singers, and musicians. Ori Tahiti dancers and drums were amazing, along with the fire dances. Buffet was surprisingly good - the chicken and fish were tops at our table. Bartenders knew what they were doing and the drinks were spot-on! Recommended for couples and families of all ages.

Ordered: Adult Seating (~$55/person on Viator) Aya's take: If you find yourself in Daytona Beach, do yourself a favor and book the Polynesian Fire Luau. You get a fun dining experience and knife throwing fire luau show for ~$55. Parking was pretty easy as there was plenty of street parking available. We were warmly greeted, received our leis, took a group photo, and directed to our assigned seats. We arrived at 6pm, right when the buffet was opening! If you arrive ahead of time, you can enjoy the bar and get situated while waiting. The show was getting started around 6:20pm and went through 8pm. The energy of the performers was incredible, the food was fresh and pretty solid, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Highly highly recommend!

MY RATING SYSTEM 5/4 = Exceeds expectations 3 = Meets expectations 2/1 = Does not meet expectations OVERALL POINTS RATING 1 - 5 1. AMBIANCE = 4 The waiting area/bar is small. People waited outside. Large table seating. so enough room for people to sit. We sat with new people and chatted. The dining area has some single seating for two and long tables for bigger groups. Lighting is adequate. Entertainment was high energy Drum beating gets loud and long. Consider ear protection. The fire act is good but if sensitive to post smell of accelerant that could be bothersome. The team brings humour where they can. Audience engagement but not embrassing. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 3 Normal high prices. They do add a automatic 20% tip to drink orders. No choice to do less. At the end of show ask to leave tip for those collecting dishes. another is put out for the entertainers. I enjoyed the food buffet style. Some have stated not favorable etc. I found it to be decent. Come with an appetite as it is all you can eat. 3. SERVICE = 5 Team stayed on top of food and collecting dishes after. Bartender was efficent. 4. BATHROOM = 5 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 3 Tipping at each juncture. Mandotory for Alcohol 20%. Price of show with tax and fees for two was $112.00. Plus tipping points. From what I could tell paying the extra $10 for premium seating would not be worth it. 6. POINTS 20 out 25. For us it exceeded expectations. We would consider it again 20 to 25 = Exceeds expectations. 10 to 19 = Meets expectations. 0 to 9 = Does not meet expections.

This was an absolutely fun show and experience to take the family to. Very entertaining and the performers are very funny so it's a good laugh too. A couple things to note (from the eyes of parents with two little kids so keep that in mind). The show was a little on the long side which is usually great but the real fire part doesn't happen to the very end. They throw in a couple fire twirling/juggling acts in the middle but that's it until the end. So my kids (2 and 4) were getting a little antsy but did have fun dancing to the music and watching the performers. Second note is the food was very lackluster. It was not bad, but generally not very flavorful or anything to write home about. Overall it was a great show and I would recommend checking it out if you're looking for a different night out!

Very nice luau in Daytona something different to do there beautifully decorated. The people were very kind. The buffet was very nice. Service was good. Definitely would recommend especially if you have kids. They would love the fire show and all the hula dancing.

From the very first call, this team set the tone for an unforgettable experience. My travel partner and I were both coming from long distances, so we called ahead to ask about early check-in. To our surprise and delight, we were warmly told we could check in as early as 11 a.m.! That thoughtful gesture alone set the stage for what would become one of the most memorable weekends of our lives. When we arrived around 12:30, we were greeted with smiles and checked into our room with ease. A small room issue led us to inquire about availability in the towers, and that's when we met Heavenly...and let me tell you, her name could not be more fitting! She didn't just help us with a room change; she completely transformed our weekend. Friendly, professional, and radiating pure kindness, Heavenly made us feel less like guests and more like family. The moment we opened the door to our new room, our jaws dropped. We were on the sea on the edge of a storm front, what a spectacular kind of feeling. The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking; the kind that makes you stop, breathe, and feel lucky to be alive. Everything was crystal clear and sheets were fresh and clean. Having a double sink and a tub was so nice for our weekend dynamic. Soaps, shampoos, conditioner, lotion, refrigerator, stove top, oven and glass dishes we could use and dish soap to clean everything after?! Those little glasses really made everything so perfect. Especially our nights enjoying the ocean waves and the brightest stars at night. We loved it so much that the very next morning we headed down to the front desk to extend our stay! Once again, Heavenly greeted us with her warm smile and even offered us a discounted rate for our extra night. She was even planning on calling us to ask if we wanted to stay another night! It's like she read our minds! What a great price. Talk about going above and beyond! This is the type of trip people dream about; the kind where stress melts away and you can feel the magic of connection, whether it's with the ocean, the people you're with, or simply the joy of being in a place that treats you with such care. Cora and the rest of the team deserve special praise too; every interaction we had was marked by genuine warmth and outstanding service. We even made some friends along the way, in the elevator, in the parking lot, the jacuzzi What a great place that truly encompasses all the feels of a family, even as a romantic getaway. The Sun Viking Lodge is more than a hotel; it's a safe haven, a place where memories are made, where love stories begin, and where guests are treated like treasured friends. I came for a weekend getaway and left completely enchanted, not just by the stunning ocean views, but by the heart of this place. To Heavenly, Cora, and everyone at Sun Viking Lodge: thank you for a weekend we'll never forget. We can't wait to return to this historic gem and relive the magic all over again

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. No one really knows it's here but anytime ever and someone says they're going to Daytona. I always recommend this place. Go here! You will never be disappointed trust me!

I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

I hope they continue to upgrade and improve this older property. There really aren't many of these left anymore.
