I love to go to the Daytona Bandshell for all kinds of events! Right next to Ocean Walk Shoppes, it is a great location.

Been coming here for years Nice place to see a band. Right on the beach so you get a breeze once the sun goes down. But it is hot so bring some water. Show is free and you can bring your own chair or you can rent a chair. Show is at 7:15. And runs till about 9:30 and then they have fireworks. Or you can buy the VIP for $20 and be up front Some food truck vendors but not many, but they do have other restaurants in that little plaza that you can choose from. A couple of drink vendors. Full bar with whiskey and vodka and all kinds of beers and soda. Beers are $7 for big can. Most everybody sits these shows so if you want to dance you need to get in the back. Security here is pushy. You go up front to try to take a quick video and they are constantly telling you to go sit down. I miss the old days when you can just go there and watch a band and go right up front. But now they made the VIP section so huge they won't let you up there not even to take a picture. Parking used to be $10 now it's $15. Ugg. . Amazing 80's concert overall that I attended this weekend. It was jam packed with wonderful performances by all of the great artists. The event organizers and promoters did an excellent job making this event possible. I applaud everyone who worked on making this show possible to help kick start summer '23 at Daytona Beach! The event staff, volunteers, security, etc we're friendly and professional. The property was super clean. Beautiful views of the ocean and great food nearby to enjoy before and during the concert. Daytona Beach was not only beautiful but welcoming to visitors as myself. Look forward to attending future shows! read more

Prepare for the HEAT!!! This performance arena feels like the equator. Although i know there are indoor performance facilities.... college cheerleading nationals endure the outdoor competitions. The facility itself is accommodating for athletes and the staffing is abundant enough to always have someone accessible if you are to need assistance in any way. Really neat location overlooking the water but prepare WELL for the full wrath of the sun. read more

Such a classic iconic place to see performances. I recommend it. We could see it from our Juliet balcony at the Hilton north tower.

Plenty of FREE shows to come to regularly. During the summer there are Friday new-age groups and Saturdays are the Rock tribute bands, You can rent plastic chairs for a few dollars or bring your own, They have fireworks every Saturday night at 9:45 for the summer spectacular shows. Always plenty to see both on and off the stage. If you want to know more of the history of the construction there is a model and information by the restrooms on the 1st floor of the ocean walk. read more

This place offers free concerts all summer (starting mid May, and running thru Labor day, actually) and also new years eve. I have seen many a tribute band here, they only hire the best! They have popup bars and also lots of permanent restaurants with and without bars all around it. They rent chairs for a very low fee for the concerts and it is extremely close to a huge parking garage. read more

First visit so not sure what to expect during this time. Parking was bit great but did find a spot for $5.00 with a bit of a walk. There was a temperature check and masks were required. Erected in 1939 as one of the WPA projects of the New Deal and constructed of a visually unique shell fragmented sedimentary rock known as coquina, the Bandshell stands out as Dayton Beach's most outstanding and enduring structure. As an amphitheater located right on the beach and having superb acoustical qualities, attending a concert, musical or entertainment event here is not only pleasurable but inspiring as well. I've had the opportunity to attend various performances at the Bandshell and can assure you that should you have the opportunity, doing so is a must. Even if you happen to be in the area when there aren't any performances scheduled, the Bandshell is worth seeing. As amphitheaters go, it's one of the best, hence for me, deserving all of Five Stars. read more

We come here every time we are in Daytona Beach in the summer since we stay at the Wyndham Oceanwalk right next door. The seating has become much more organized over the years, from haphazard placing chairs wherever you wanted, to rows of chairs now. Many people carry in their own chairs, but they are only $3, or 2 for $5, and the concert is free. There are also beer and beverage vendors. We have seen mostly tribute bands, and they are quite enjoyable, at least songs you may know the words to. This night was a band doing 2 tributes, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and Simon and Garfunkle, and they did a marvelous job. There are great fireworks afterwards at 9:45 every Saturday, and it is a pretty decent show. Lots of people seated on the beach and people on the boardwalk. It's a great night out if there's good weather, with that cool ocean breeze making it that much more enjoyable. read more

The structure itself is awesomely beautiful architecture, and forms a perfect backdrop for performers. There are very few bad seats for the audience. My only complaunt was that organizers formed a walkway straight through the crowd for people walking through to the beach and the boardwalk. There has to be another way. My view was blocked often by people who werent even interested in the concert. That was the organizer's fault, however, so 5 stars anyway. read more

A great area to take in a great show. It typically hosts free concerts on the weekend. It is in a prime area on the beach with a great backdrop of luxury hotels and great dining. The food stations are excellent and the beer vendors only charge 5 dollars or so for a beer which is an amazing price. Bring your own seating to save a few bucks. Its entirely possible to have an evening out and spend under 20 dollars for a couple meals and a couple beers and a 2 hour concert. We saw The Who tribute and id estimate there was a couple thousand people in attendance. The free firework show after the concert is an awesome way to end a great and fun evening. Parking across the street typically runs 5 dollars or so. They have a ton of concerts coming up so check the schedule regularly. The sound system was amazing. I highly suggest checking this out if you are in the area. read more

The Daytona Bandshell is a unique music venue. Located a right off Daytona Beach, this 50 year-old structure has hosted many great musicians as well as local acts. It's a great experience to sit on the bleachers set up in front and hear some music as the waves crash onto the beach and you enjoy the ocean breeze. Some major acts have played here during Spring Breaks past, but the line-up is mainly local acts these days, with a slant toward jazz, blues and other classic genres. Admission is typically free, and parking is across A1A in the garage. Immediately south of the Bandshell is the Boardwalk area, which features fun of its own. If you're in town, or if you're a bored native, pick up a flyer and catch a free concert out on the World's Most Famous Beach. read more

Walk around the broad walk and ended up here...saw this huge beach band shell and there was people performing...I thought it was pretty cool...every body was relaxing siting/standing listening to the band playing...the chairs was three buck per person two chairs are five bucks...the atmosphere is nice the view of Daytona beach..there were restaurant that was outdoor looking at the performance...the shows free standing is free sitting is a few bucks... I'm not really sure if its worth it I didn't really stay long since I was just strolling around...lol read more

Hard to beat $5 event parking, $5 to rent 2 chairs for a Saturday night free concert (the boss project) and free fireworks off the pier. Vendors and/or restaurants for food and drinks if you want. Great evening for a minimal investment and they do it all summer. Some of the tribute bands are awesome. Highly recommend you check it out. Fun for the whole family. read more
