Excellent spot to see live music during Bike Week and Biketoberfest. During the big events they usually have two bands playing simultaneously; one inside the main bar and the other at a much larger stage outside. The main bar area is open all year long; however, there is not much going on here unless there is a big event happening on or near Main Street. The bar is divey, there are a lot of bikers and a few drunkards during the motorcycle events, but I've never had any issues with anyone, plus there is plenty of security and police around. Drink prices are reasonable, especially if you're sticking to canned beer or twisted tea. I've been visiting this bar for since my first Bike Week back in 2001, so I definitely recommend a visit if you haven't been yet. read more

Gee, what can we say about the Boot Hill Saloon. It's dirty and disgusting inside. The service was just so so. Me and my wife ordered food and it was disgusting. You're a bar not a restaurant. The bands she has playing there are the same bands that you see playing there every week and it becomes a little monotonous and boring. If you hired some good bands to come in, maybe you'll make some money. The only time I really ever seen that place crowded was during Bikeweek and Biketoberfest and it was still the same shitty bands over and over for the whole week. Biker bars aren't my thing. I don't like loud music, bikers intimidate my 4'11" self and crowds just elevate my anxiety. However, the bar was super clean, the bathrooms were spotless, the food was actually very good and the bar tenders were super nice. Full disclaimer, I had never been in a "biker bar", I don't even drink. I came here to see a local band. After reading other reviews, I thought the atmosphere would be smoky, or at least a strong smell of cigarette smoke. No issue with smoke odors here for me, and I'm quite sensitive to it. Local band loWhat I can attest to is that the entertainment was fantastic! The band was super high energy and the patrons reciprocated to the fullest measure. The crowd was rowdy but mostly well behaved and there were no incidents. Staff members who I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Betty is the sweetest bartender I've ever met at a biker bar. She kept us happy for an hour or more. $2 domestics and $3 wells during happy hour, which started at 4pm. Betty took our pictures, gave us great recommendations for local seafood restaurants and oohed over Sue's 1 year old granddaughter Betty. This is the first bar I've been in for a very long time that allows smoking inside. I don't miss that one bit. For this 45 year old landmark and oldest biker bar in Daytona, I'll take it as part of the ambiance, along with all the bras hanging near the bar. They had a great live band here during the first weekend of Bike Week. There's plenty of bars so the wait for a drink was very minimal. Only complaint was that the burger was very dry. Not sure if it was a vendor they were using. read more

Love, love, love this place. We are on a 3.5 month RV trip and we try craft beer all over the country. Kari was an incredible craft beer consultant. Loved her. Prices are fantastic. Boothill Saloon has one of the strangest kitchens i have ever seen. The menu a couple of months ago was very basic pub style food chicken wings, fish N chips etc. but then the kitchen completely changed. They have a legit chef with a serious menu featuring daily specials. One of my new favorite menu items is the chicken and waffle cones! It is amazing. I have never seen a kitchen turn around its staff and menu to that degree of success. Bartenders are always friendy and fast with service. The thing I would change is the entertainment. You see the same 2 bands multiple times a week so I would recommend some variety. read more

This is Mecca for bikers. This is so clearly the go-to spot for Daytona Bike Week, and a regular hangout for local bikers. The Saloon is really only 3/4 saloon. The remaining 1/4 is a merchandise store that sells an endless array of t-shirts, etc. The place isn't that big, so I imagine the quarters get tight. The band was setting up as we were leaving, so I can't speak for the live music, but I'm sure it gets down and dirty. Whatever laws Florida may or may not have about smoking inside business establishments definitely does not apply here, so be prepare to leave smelling like an ash tray. read more

Boot Hill is the Mecca of biker bars to which every red blooded biker, at least any red blooded Harley Biker must go at least once in their lifetime. The name Boot Hill comes from the fact that it is located directly across from the cemetery on Main Street, though there is little other relationship than that. The Boot Hill is actually a well run, well organized business establishment and as I alluded to, an biker institution. As such it is also a rather safe place, unlike the Shark Lounge or other biker hangs which often attract the unsavory of the biker world. The general theme, as is now with most of Daytona on Biker Week, "No colors and no attitude." Though I have no way of actually knowing, it is rumored that everyone is so proud to have been at the Boot Hill, it sells over 10,000 t-shirts a year to those who want a memento or souvenir of having actually been at the Boot Hill. The ceiling of the Boot Hill is plastered with bras, but oddly enough remarkably small cup sizes considering the looks of Harley women I've seen frequenting the place. There is also a female panty or two, some of them rather raunchy looking which makes one wonder whether or not they may have actually come off of some of the male rather than the female riders Harley; no way of knowing for sure. Opppss! I shouldn't of said that. Sorry about that boys, I didn't mean it. There is actually so much to read and look at on the walls and ceilings I hardly ever have time to associate with those in the crowd, though I have been stopping into the Boot Hill for over three decades now during motorcycle weekend. It is true that the Boot Hill is predominately the venue of Harley riders and during motorcycle weekend, if you don't drive a Harley, you might want to just take a piece of paper, write on it "This weekend I'm a Harley," and tape it over that other brand name on your gas tank. So, if you're a real biker or a just a biker at heart, it is a must stop; must see. Hence, because of its status as an institution and hallmark of fame, I can't rate it less than four stars even. read more

Nothing has changed in a year. Still the best bar in town, if you ask me. But who am I to determine that? A long time loyal guest of the Boothill Saloon. The AC/DC cover band "Highwaytohell" rocked the house from Thursd. To Sat., this is always a great performance. If you don't like AC/DC - Fuck off - but the band singer will give you a clear message on this. If you don't come on your bike, parking is a little difficult, but once you found a spot and got here, it is worth all the trouble. Boothill - I'll be back next year for Bike Week again. read more

Must see if you're on the Daytona Main Street! This place cracks me up... it is really big, with an outdoor stage that had a thrilling trivia contest going on (it was very difficult 1950's tv trivia). Inside the ceiling above the bar is decorated with bras. The walls are lined with business cards and odd signs. Very entertaining. Floor inside is littered with dirt, old peanut shells, cigaratte butts... just don't look down, I wanted to throw my shoes away. The only thing is the prices are different on some items inside vs outside. My Miller Lite cost $2.50 outside but inside it was on tap for $1 so check it out to make your money go a little further! read more
