This time around it was time to get out to the Atlantic and drive down the A1A for a ways to take in the ocean air and the endless horizon... and find something good to eat as well. Finding a place that actually has an ocean view is not easy, sadly. You would think there would be more places in the Daytona/Ormond/Flagler Beach area, but there really aren't. Condos being on the beach has killed that scene for a good part, which is very sad. However, there are a couple of places still available... and one of them is Crabby Joe's. Situated out on the end of a pier, Crabby Joe's is a breezy eatery where you can grab some deep fried goodness and a beer if you like. I went for the fish and chips this time around, and I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of fish that came with the dish. The fish was excellent, and the chips hit the spot as well. Our service was solid as well, as our drinks were kept filled and we were checked on reasonably well. Crabby Joe's has definitely entered our list of possible places to go to for a bite to eat when we are out on the coast!
