We had two great sandwiches - the Harvard Heavy and the A-Frame. Both were delicious - and large - we each took a half sandwich home. It was quiet just before noon, but started filling up as we were leaving. I guess word is out! The cold cuts were fresh as could be and the combos - like cheddar and peppercorn horseradish on the HH and Brie and apple chutney on the A-Frame are so amazingly different. They have Trivia nights and a few other activities, if interested check the website. I don't need games, I'll go back to try other sandwich creations!

The vibe here was decidedly empty. I wanted to try this place because it only has 16 reviews,…read morewhile its sister/parent place is so successful. It seems this place was a bar before and Fletcher's took it over without a remodel. This is leading to confusion for the servers/bartenders because they train at the original bar and then come here to work. Everything is in a different place. This huge place is probably perfect for St. Patrick's Day crowds. But despite the Daytona 500 and Bike Week being days away, I counted 6 people there. Another server joined around 6pm just as a family came in to dine. I hesitated to give this place only 3 stars because the food and beer were surprisingly good. We cautiously ordered the tater tots to check out the quality of cooking and the cleanliness of the fryer. Even though they probably don't make the tater tots (they were exactly like Ore-Ida) these were as perfect as it gets. They were cooked exactly right and I love my tots. They were crispy on the outside, not dry inside and you could tell the oil was clean and the fryer was at the right temperature. I wanted to try the Fletcher's Hefeweizen but it was out. There were 3 beers out of ~10 that were out. I got Blue Moon instead. Hubby got the Hazy IPA. Both beers were very good and fresh, chilled satisfyingly cold.I was given an orange in my Blue Moon without asking, always a good sign. With our confidence bolstered, we split the fish and chips. I expected the fish filet to be thicker, but realized this was haddock and not cod. The fish was fresh and the coating was cornmeal-based, not fluffy but nicely crunchy and tasty. The chips were just as they should be. Good dish, well-executed. Come to Fletcher's Pub and Brewery! More people would give it more of a party vibe, enhancing the already great food and beer experience.

I was totally taken back by the fact, particularly since it is located just down the street from the seedy, infamous, dive-y Shark Lounge. It's basically a beer bar, but more than that, an actual honest to goodness Irish beer bar with an unusually large, varied and well thought out selection of imported, domestic as well as custom crafter brews, some of which are available on tap. It also has a unique, laid back, ambiance with a typical Irish pub décor of heavy dark wood, giving it the true flavor of a real pub; which it is. Better yet, on certain evenings live entertainment is offered, however, it is the overall friendliness of the owner and staff that add to the magic as well as the enjoyment of the place.

There is some kind of parking in front or on the side street. The bartender was friendly and accommodating to our group of 6, catering to our different drinking needs. The inside feels muggy like the air wasn't working, the roof was missing tiles and looked like it had water damage. The chairs are all in dire need of repair. This is your real Irish spot I suppose and most of the people there seemed to be regulars. I don't see tourist wandering in there let alone staying. This place has potential and I honestly kept thinking to myself they should contact "Bar Rescue" Definitely not in a rush to go back here...

The char-grilled oysters were the standout -- hot, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. Whatever sauce they use needs to be bottled. I tried the Maine lobster roll with sweet potato fries too. It was okay, but the oysters, chowder, wings, and appetizers were the real winners for me.
