My new favorite pizza spot! Needed to find a good pizza to celebrate an important occasion and we accidentally came across this spot. The vibe in the shop is great - simple, no frills, and just being in there you know you're about to get some good eats. We went for a large pizza with pepperoni, garlic, and extra cheese. Daaannnnggg, spot on! I heard people coming in to order their single slices which was a great deal. The guy who made our pizza was super sweet too, and you could tell he took great pride in his work. I love G's NY pizza. I have been going to this restaurant since I practically moved here in 2021. The atmosphere is positive amazing and a little taste of New York. The food and the service are incredible. G's makes their food from scratch and puts a lot of thought into it. The owner was originally from NY and a great guy to talk to. Their pizza is as closest as you can get to a an authentic NYC Pizza. We ordered a pie of pepperoni and a cheese pizza. Also ordered hot wings which was good but nothing out of ordinary. Their calzone was good but dough was slightly undercooked so I just popped into an air fryer. They are a bit on the expensive side and didn't like the fact that each vegetables I wanted in my calzone was considered a topping and each vegetables were charged i.e. onions, peppers, mushrooms, and etc were a charged individually. Solid 4.5 stars. Been sleeping on this place. First few times stopping in the slices were very greasy, yet still delicious. Stopped in today and it was as good as it gets, even slightly better around here. The family owned places closer to us have been very disappointing recently, and today's slice was just what I've been craving. Inside is super no-frills, small, kinda cluttered, yet service was friendly and efficient. My one and only complaint is they're a little too far to be our regular go-to, but we'll never not stop in when passing through. read more

Today was no different - was in the mood for pizza and decided to place my order in person. Why you ask?? Because I wanted to make sure I got a NYC style pie with a nice thick crust.. got there placed my order. Emphasized my crust requirement. Pie maker confirmed and 15 minutes later it was ready. I didn't check it before leaving. I should've; more so because my expectations were high. Got home aaaaand Viola! Best looking pizza I've seen around these parts. Wanted to try somewhere new for pizza. I will say, it was ok pizza, really nothing to write home about! The slices were a nice size though. Once the pizza gets cooled, the crust becomes very chewy. ( I know, never ideal to eat pizza when it is cooled, should always eat hot, but had to drive home) Forgot to mention, very greasy, so have the napkins ready. The garlic rolls, well, not what we expected for " Garlic" rolls. No real garlic flavor at all and honestly, the rolls were kind of dry. The tomato sauce that was served with them, a lot of overbearing tomato taste, with very little seasoning ( and with some added, it would be probably be good!) So I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York. I heard all the hype about this place. Of course I was skeptical. If there is one thing I know, it is good New York pizza. G's NY Pizza did not disappoint. Nice, crispy crust. Just the right amount of tomato sauce, which by the way, was quite tasty. Perfect amount of cheese, perfectly melted. Absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, real New York pizza. The pizza was great, the staff was great, the entire experience was great. What else can I say? Lol. This is as good as it gets, outside of Brooklyn, New York. Mega cheese was a good family size. I like the crust, it's chewy and crispy. Hawaiian had lots of ham chunks and pineapple, really liked that. Mega and large sizes were filling. Meatballs were tasty with lots of great sauce. The calamari was delicious, perfectly crispy yet not tough and chewy. I would order calamari again as a side - better than the meatballs. Hands down the best NY pizza place I have had in Florida thus far. It's best if you can eat it hot and fresh. They have a few small tables and a lunch special for 2 slices and a drink. My bf and I ordered a small pizza and got to watch them make it before devouring our food. The cashier and the setting reminded me of eating in NY next to a little bodega. Taste is very flavorful, with a good amount of toppings not overdone with the toppings which is always good, always consistent unlike other pizza places where they'll make it good one time and than another time it's bad. Florida doesn't have too many New York style pizza places that really remind me of home here but G's is the exception here. Salt is not an major ingredient, it's a spice. I wanted to like this pizza, but the salt content is overwhelming. Pizza like most Italian foods, it's the sauce that makes the meal. If you have to doctor your sauce with salt, try a different recipe. read more

We were visiting my MIL in Clermont and got a large half cheese and half pepperoni delivered. The dough was super thin and soggy. The cheese was not completely melted and fell off when we tried to get a slice out of the box and the pepperoni was just plopped in clumps on the one side. I do not recommend. We had a group of 7 and randomly decided to stop in after shopping at Khol's next door. The dining area is pretty small, seating for 10 max. Certainly not fancy but more of the "hole in the wall" type of place. The signs are faded and the place is the opposite of the well-groomed franchise scene. Polite friendly staff helped us order. As a non-US native finding cheese pizza as the start for orders is odd. The price climbs once you like anything on your pizza. To get anything that seems filling the cost increases real quick. I like some options and diversification, but this place seems to be trying to be too much of everything. The menu list is all over the place. There are a hundred faded pictures of offerings that are anything but pizza. Wings, gyros and everything in between. I don't believe they're good at anything with so much on the menu. We got a cheese pizza for the kids and a 3 topping for the adults. The thin crust pizza was nice but needs ample time to rest after coming out or it is too flimsy and greasy to handle. The salt level is also way over the top with the cheese/meat/dough. Would I go here again? Unlikely.. I like local joints over the franchise stuff but I'd look around the area to try others. read more
