Been to this location a bunch of times because Clermont, for all its great qualities, has a SUPER limited breakfast/brunch scene. This First Watch location is consistent with others I've been to. The food is decent quality with fresh ingredients. I especially love their wheat bread. Due to it being one of the only places to get breakfast in the area, it does get busy on weekends. If you arrive after 9 am it'll be busy & likely have a wait. But during the week it's pretty slow. This particular visit I ordered one of the specials - a steak and eggs hash. My eggs were cooked over hard when over medium was requested but that's not a huge deal. The parmesan sauce on the top was delicious (made up for the lack of yolk) and overall the bowl was tasty. Seared and cooked to perfection, it took on a Brazilian twist with the Chimichurri sauce along with the red & orange bell peppers. It was peppered with Feta cheese, spinach, and spices from the diced potatoes that it comes with. But let's not forget the eggs your way (we opted for over medium) that settles right in middle of it all. The service from First Watch is always impeccable and the ambiance that First Watch gives is a sense of family & belonging. I truly love this place from the bottom of my heart with my go to entree always being The Trifecta which comes with a crispy vanilla belgian waffle that is light in weight but when doused with warm maple syrup and blueberry compote, it is unmatched to any other belgian waffle I have ever tasted. You also get your choice of meat such as hardwood bacon, chicken sausage (my fave), ham, and turkey sausage links. If you like spicy and sweet, upgrade your regular bacon strips to the Million Dollar bacon which is a maple glazed and spicy dressing that the bacon strips are smothered in. I've been to this location a couple times and it's pretty good. The key is to come before the brunch rush because it gets very crowded. My most recent visit was this (Sunday) morning, around 8:30 am. The place was mostly empty so we were seated right away and received excellent, attentive service from our waiter. I ordered the shishito brisket hash. I believe it's a summer special. It was very tasty but I felt it could've used a little more meat. My husband got the traditional breakfast and he was happy with it. We have visited this location many times, and it's pretty consistent. They're usually busy, so it's noisy and the servers are slammed. I do really like some of their food (the million dollar bacon and lemon ricotta pancakes are my go to), but the prices for everything are insane. We spent over $100 for brunch for 3 adults and 1 kid. The last couple times we've gone, I was very put off by a strong odor in the restaurant. It smelled like sewer pipe gas... so unappetizing! We were seated toward the back of the restaurant each time. This location is next to five guys and parking is pretty easy. A little disappointed in the brunch here. While I do appreciate that it seems their ingredients are of higher quality, the taste was not there for me to get it more than 3 stars. Coffee was very weak, and the mint mocha with cold foam was underwhelming. I actually don't know if there was coffee in the mocha. Anyway, also ordered the spiced donut holes and millionaire's bacon. While they had a decent taste, I have definitely had better of both. Also the donut holes seemed baked which is not what I was expecting. Anyway, ordered the farmhouse hash. I had it come with side of fruit and buttered grits. They use bob's red mill grits so it is also of high quality and those tasted good. I have been to a few different First Watch locations and this is probably my favorite one to eat at! It is in a location in Clermont close to where I run a lot of races, so it has become a spot we frequent often after we have run. The service is always great and the food is fresh and hot. And they offer an option that you can put your name on their waitlist on their app so you can see how long the wait is approximately. We only had to wait about 3 minutes before we were seated and a server appeared right away with water and greeted us. Our order was taken be our smiling waitress as soon as we were ready. I was there today for breakfast and ordered the chipotle chicken hash. I was very clear to my server that everytime I prefer the hash it's a bowl full of potatoes please less potatoes. It didn't happen, 3, yes 3 slithers of chicken and a bowl full of potatoes please less. His response was everything is portioned. I only ate the 2 eggs and said to him charge me for them. Not thinking he would especially after speaking to the manager. I ordered 5 meals The Trifecta came with only a sparse amount of egg, more of a garnish than a proper serving. It lacked the protein needed to feel satisfying. Additionally, another order promised fresh fruit, but it was conspicuously absent. Without the fruit, the plate felt incomplete and unbalanced--just carbs and fat with no brightness or sweetness to round it left me feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Years ago I had a not so great experience at a First Watch by our house, so we had not been back since. We took longer than expected on an errand run in the area and were STARVING. It was 11 am and we were totally jonesing breakfast food. Driving around and checking Yelp for food in the area we literally drove by and I told my hubby to stop because it IS breakfast food. I loved the steps they are taking to distance diners, the servers were wearing masks and there was hand sanitizer available. The menu looked different than before and I was quite pleased to find many gluten-free options AND toast. WIN! The food took over an hour to come out and just getting an update on it along the way seemed like pulling teeth. The worst part of this experience was the LACK of customer service. I understand it gets busy at times but its another thing when customers have to hunt waiters down just to get more water. The salmon dish came with 2 small slices of salmon. When we questioned this the waitresses response was rude as she advised us we have to buy more. I guess something changed her mind when she brought a bit more a few minutes later. Overall the food was delicious, salmon fresh and on point but service is in need of help. Perhaps a more experienced manager to instill patience in their employees. Well, I asked how long for a table for 5 and was told 29-30 minutes. I asked at 35 minutes snd was seated at a communal table. First thing I Saw was a table for 6 with 2 people there. We were seated 35 minutes ago snd so far we have coffee. There are three empty tables snd several people waiting. One person in our party ordered a fresh squeezed drink. That has not arrived. There are now 5 empty tables and people waiting outside. No food for us. I will update. Oh, and she insisted on my phone to text me when the table was ready. I had a craving for pancakes and first watch did not disappoint. The lemon ricotta pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The serving size was huge!! Two pancakes was enough for breakfast for two additional days!! They are one of the only breakfast places that serve chicken Pattie's (everyone serves turkey) and they were excellent: not too salty and pretty savory. My waitress was phenomenally efficient: quickly took my order, brought drinks, and even complimented me on my outfit. My only complaint would be that their sunrise specialty drinks arrive with a full glass of ice. I feel as if I paid for a glass of ice and only two straw fills of beverage BUT those two straws were tasty. My great waitress handled my complaint with major professionalism and brought me a replacement without ice (in a smaller glass but that was still more than before).
