The first day, I had a Belgian waffle, made with waffle batter, not pancake batter, like so many restaurants use. Big difference! Optional real maple syrup is very much appreciated. First Watch delivers every single time. It's nothing fancy, but they somehow manage to maintain good options, great food and friendly service to create a really enjoyably brunch experience. I love the power chicken quinoa bowl. And their tomato soup is honestly some of the best I've had. I like to add a Morning Meditation juice for fruity balance Bites I've tried off of other peoples plates have always tempted me to try other items (Turkey sausage and biscuits- I'm looking at you next!) but I can't stray away from the tried and true. Service is always relatively quick and extremely friendly. I don't live in the state but whenever I visit, First Watch is a must-have. What a wonderful breakfast and great service. Understandably you have to wait a tad bit longer for food that is of this quality and freshness. I had the market veggie omelet and it was cooked perfectly fluffy with beautifully sauteed vegetables inside. Even their bread is outstanding. The menu is incredible. Something for everyone. My husband and I love the menu and the atmosphere at this First Watch located in Clermont. We have visited several times and for the most part are impressed by the service and the consistency of the food. On our last visit we ordered a veggies sandwich with potatoes, mushroom frittata and an omelet. An order of a single biscuit and gravy was added for the table to sample before our entree were served. I didn't love the gravy but the biscuit was delicious. I ordered the mushroom frittata that was topped with arugula. The egg was very overcooked but the flavor was still solid. I especially like that it was topped with the arugula. The veggie sandwich was very good and something that I plan to order on my next visit. The veggies were fresh and the flavor combination taste great. The omelet was fantastic and a nice traditional breakfast dish. read more

Well disappointing today. We used to be regular at least once a week to First Watch before this location was opened. But then you changed the potatoes & they just don't get crispy. So Hubby doesn't want to go anymore. Well I had a free birthday meal so we went. Lindsey our server was great & kept checking on us. My Trifecta came out first & it really wasn't even warm. Hubby Benedict did not come out. I had to have them redo the waffle, butter didn't even melt. His Benedict came out missing the avocado. Then finally my waffle came & still just barely warm. With the new way these locations are being made, it is very loud & noisy & hard to hear people talking at your table. I will be lucky to get Hubby back into a First Watch. While on vacation with my sweetheart, we stopped by First Watch, in Clermont, Florida on our last day there. Boy o' boy, we wished we'd found this place twelve days before, as it turned out to be our absolute fav for presentation and taste. If you do get to go, check out their super yummy Pumpkin Spiced Donuts and their Million Dollar Bacon. Just thinking about them is making my taste buds wish they were still in Clermont. I also enjoyed their delicious pancakes with real maple sugar, while my companion dined on their Tri-Fecta breakfast. Did I mention the totally satisfying Morning Meditation drink? The staff was friendly and professional, even though only two young ladies were handling all the tables. Food took almost 45 min to appear from the kitchen, but we'd been warned they were short on kitchen staff, so while our tummies rumbled the scents from near by tables kept us waiting in anticipation. My only complaint was that I was not able to discover the 'secret ingredient' in their pancakes, as I could try making them at home...***sigh *** But, so looking forward to when I can go to another of their restaurants. read more

The rating has been collaborative from my past 3 experiences. Let's start with the positives. Vibe/Atmosphere- Their decor and tables give off a farmhouse vibe which is very inviting and cozy for brunch. Food- The million dollars bacon is my all time favorite and probably the only reason I would ever go back. The rest of their breakfast and lunch is very greasy and sometimes food is under cooked. Or in the case this morning, we were served rotten mushrooms in our omelette Space- It's always a cluster, from the time you walk in and check in/put your name on the list to when you are trying to pay. The front area isn't very big so you have to maneuver around waiting guests and others in line to cash out. Service- Our servers, no matter the day, time or how busy it is, take forever to get our food order or fill drinks. We generally wait a minimum 30 min for our food order and the servers only come to refill drinks once or if you snag them. Recap- Love the million dollar bacon, they need to drastically improve their service and helping kitchen with getting the food out better (and making sure everything is fresh). read more

I always hate it when a great restaurant that opened strong starts going downhill. First Watch has been my go-to breakfast joint in Clermont but the last few visits have been disappointing and make me want to start looking for another favorite. The last visit especially prompts this review. I always like to try something new when I go, so this time I tried the BLT Benedict on gluten free bread. My bacon was burnt and my poached eggs were poached hard, not smooth and runny like I expect with a Benedict. Two other guests at my table ordered the new carnitas cornbread bowl, which looked delicious, fresh, colorful and abundant in the photo on the app. What they got was a sad looking bowl of beans with burnt cornbread and rotten Pico. The lime crema and cotija cheese were nonexistent, and to top it off, one guest's eggs were poached hard as well. We all agreed we didn't want to send anything back because we had been there for a while and we were starving, but we did mention the overcooked eggs to the server. When we brought it up, her response was "yea the eggs can be tricky." Not an apology, just an excuse blaming the eggs. It's a breakfast place, the eggs should be the #1 thing you get right! We asked for new eggs, but the server she said she would have to take the whole meal back and have it remade. We said we were ok if she could just bring a side of eggs and her response was, "well it'll be a while." I don't understand why it would take a while to recook eggs that were served incorrectly and then be reluctant to redo them. There was just no attempt to recover or correct the situation, which was more annoying than the messed up food. Regardless, after the last few experiences and especially this one, I think we'll be checking out one of the many other breakfast spots in the area. It's too bad because First Watch had a lot of potential here. I'll leave a generous 3 stars here as an average of all my experiences. read more

I absolutely love the First Watch Franchise and this is the third location we have been to and have been sadly let down. Ordering our food and everything went so smoothly -- until the food came. We had six people in our group and only three plates came, 10 minutes later two plates came, another 10 minutes later the last plate of food came (and of course it was cold). I figured if the food was not supposed to be sent out together there would have been a warning or a mention, however there was not. The point is, everyone was eating and the last three people just had to sit there watching them! They also never brought out syrup for our pancakes which we asked for multiple times, we also never got our side of bacon, drinks were brought out wrong (and were never refilled), and food was labeled wrong. Overall I do not know if this restaurant is understaffed or poorly managed but we will not be returning. read more

WOW! What a breakfast joint! I ordered an item from their extensive healthy option menu and I wasn't disappointed. The egg white turkey wrap was delicious, very flavorful! It had enough egg white, turkey and mushroom to balance the entire wrap. My wife and father-in-law also thoroughly enjoyed their choice of skillet, both were cooked perfectly to their liking and they said it tasted great. The three items ordered were big portions and the fruit was fresh as fresh can be, burst in your mouth fresh. On the weekend, especially Sunday.. make sure to join the Yelp Waitlist! The food is OKAY, not bad but not great! Their sandwiches are pretty buttery and greasy. They also have a superfood kale salad, and I was pretty disappointed because there was practically no kale in there. I did witness a waitress drool ketchup on the floor and not come back to pick it up. The same woman and other memebers of the waitstaff stepped over the mess. Although it's much better than going to the standard fast food dining experience the choices are not much healthier. There are no vegan options and everything high in calories. Mostly every item on the menu is slathered with some type of cheese. I tried to order a coffee with almond milk, but there was no dairy feee alternatives. However, there is a dairy free creamer which I guess is an option. What do I think of the food? The first time I got a pick 2 option with a soup and a salad: tomato basil soup with super kale salad. Thoughts: soup was very standard and the salad was a disappointment. Don't advertise a salad as kale when it is a mixed green salad with three leaves of kale. Over all, the taste was very goThe entire salad was drenched in dressing. More kale and less dressing the dish would be 10/10. Pro tip: order the dressing on the side The second time I ordered a veggie burger with a side salad, dressing on the side. And this was very good! They have a fine listing of breakfast and lunch fare, but don't let the names fool you, you have to be in the know to where the flavor lies. This is no beer or band place. You can leave satisfied with your meal and leave without guilt or an extra belt notch. If you are going for lunch, the sandwiches are great. The lunch deal even gives you the option of having some sandwich halves instead of some greens to give it a go. I liked the ham and guerre cheese, but my wife preferred the club. I wished the soups were not limited as they only have two...have to guess when Italian wedding comes back around. If you get potatoes just go ahead and ask for extra ketchup. The decor is farm house with little industrial touches here and there. I ordered the avocado toast and it was just okay. I could've easily made this at home. Love first watch as a brand. The atmosphere. The price. The quality. Been enjoying the trifecta, traditional, and steel cut oats for quite some time. The bacon cant be beat. But on 1.28.19 I went to the clermont location for the 2nd time this week. Solo. Arrived at 1210ish. And was more than happy to wait 10 minutes to be placed at a 2 top so I didnt have to crowd other eaters. So I wait long enough that someone who wasn't my server offered to get me a drink. She brings it out 10 minutes after being sat my server comes out. I know his name and this might not have been his fault... could have been the kitchen's. Trifecta, oats, and millionaires bacon. Yummy yummy. So I wait. And watch tables that were sat minutes before me get their food... and leave... and watch people at the community table who arrived after me get their food... I wait 30 minutes at my 2 top... and just when I'm about to get up and ask someone where my food is... it arrives. I felt forgotten as a solo eater. Half the tables were empty. There was no reason to take that long by far. Even if I ordered for 2. Because the 4 top in the corner that was sat after me had their check and were standing up when I got my food Never had to wait that long for food even if the restaurant was packed... Wasn't mad. Just frustrated. So I ordered another refill and finished my meal. Next time I'll either hit a different local joint or make the drive to fowler's grove. I type this before getting up to pay. As I wont be back to this location. But that probably doesn't matter to anyone at this restaurant. read more

My mother and I went on a Saturday morning around 8 something. We beat the rush as it was very crowded as we left. There was plenty of parking and no wait. I ordered the SoCal burrito but I substituted salmon instead of the chicken and it came with fresh fruit. Very tasty. The potatoes were good too. My mother ordered plain French toast Which was tasty too. It came with some type of raspberry compote on the side that was delicious. We will definitely be back. We ordered online thru Yelp for a pickup order. We ordered 3 orders of the breakfast tacos, hold the avocado. They still left the avocado on but since it was just slices out was easy to pick off. I also ordered a side of cheese grits. Masks must not be required since only 3 people in the restaurant had them on. Our breakfast tacos were delicious. The breakfast tacos start with a corn tortilla, topped with chicken, pico, and cheese. It comes with a side of black beans that also has pico on them. The cheese grits weren't my favorite. Looks like the grits had monterrey jack cheese instead of cheddar or American. I would recommend the breakfast tacos for sure but not the cheese grits. I also say pickup your order to go and not dine in due to the pandemic. read more

The food was really good to where I'd attempt to duplicate it at home ; the atmosphere was welcoming and I enjoyed the space . Our server took a long time to greet us . She also barely spoke to us or even came by during our meal . Once to greet us , once to check on us , then once to "drop the check" on us I wasn't happy or impressed with her .
