They have this large jar behind the bar that's been marinating with what we originally thought tasted like some sort of "mead wine" I tasted honey Bourbon and vanilla vodka just ask for a Downtown Abbey-- it turned out to be a whiskey infusion packed with a blend of incredible ingredients. The flavor was bold, smooth, complex, and unlike anything we've had before. You can truly taste the craftsmanship in every sip. This is definitely a high-class cocktail spot, even though it has that cozy, intimate feel. We also had some other whiskey drinks and their Valentine special Martini was lovely can't Rave enough about it either. We ordered appetizers and tacos, and oh my goodness -- I can't rave about them enough. They were so amazing that we ordered a second round. That alone should tell you something! The presentation was beautiful, the flavors were layered and vibrant, and every bite was over-the-top delicious. As someone who used to run a high-volume restaurant, I don't impress easily. If I'm saying the food was superb, trust me -- it was exceptional in both taste and presentation. The atmosphere was perfect for a small patio bar -- music playing, great energy, and everyone seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. We loved sitting at the bar, but there were tables available as well. Service was outstanding -- lots of attentive wait staff, and we never had to wait for anything. One of the highlights was getting to meet the managers, a husband-and-wife team who were so welcoming and gave us personal attention. That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference. The BEER: Shamp's Irish Red Ale 4.5% ABV... I love this... perfectly balanced Irish red Hey There Sunshine NEIPA 6% ABV... a new England IPA with I think west or east coast hops, maybe even new Zealand. Not juicy quite hoppy and dry. Not what I was expecting Allandale Pennine Pale Ale 4.5% ABV... slightly fruity, a citus rind. Says it is an English pale ale. This one has some IBUs Hefe my Sun hefeweizen 5.4% ABV... this hefe is a tad Americanized with a little hoopiness to it, and I yes I made up those words. Still enough banana and clove, with a Miller finish. Mashing Gourds Pumpkin Ale 6.3% ABV... semi sweet festive flavored ale, slightly perfumey Dunns Gate Nitro Stout 4.1% ABV... dry stout with hints of coffee and caramel, finishes smokey 'Schmello milk stout 5.5% ABV... But they start off with normal 5 across and then play different designs on the square. You also play for money every time so depending on how many people pay in... for one $2 game the pot was around $800 and for the fill the square, last game which is $5 buy ins, it was over $1800!!! The food was also good. I started with a strawberry basil mojito. It's served in a regular glass which I felt was worth it bc usually those are served in those small cups. For dinner I ordered the chicken quesadilla, 1000/10 recommend. It looks small but they stuffed that baby with chicken. The flavor was great and it came with salsa, sour cream and guac. I did end up trying my friend's truffle fries and they were also so so good, I wish I ordered an order of those for myself.
