My Wonderful Server/Waiter Jose
Kamilah C.

Look, I was a little discouraged reading these reviews. I'm glad I came. I was greeted with a warm "Good Morning", and my server Jose was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered the famous Old Timers and a side of pancake. Oh the Biscuits & Apple Butter . Rebecca (Manager) stopped by and introduced herself and asked how things were going. Overall, Stop in and enjoy some good food.

Poor customer service. No one takes their position serious and passes mishaps off to someone else. Not a true country store at all. Management at its worst. Do not offer what you cannot provide.

Cracker Barrel just isn't the same anymore. It used to be my go-to spot for comfort food, but the last few visits have been disappointing. They don't give jam or butter with the biscuits anymore--what happened to the little things? Took like 25-30 mins to get jam for my biscuits. They've taken good items off the menu, and everything that's left just feels... basic. The flavor is bland, and the food isn't how it use to be. You also have to fetch the salt and pepper. Service? Always a bit of a struggle. Not terrible, but consistently meh. The vibes are still decent with the cozy country feel, but unfortunately, it's not enough to outweigh the drop in quality. Cracker Barrel used to feel special--now it feels like they're cutting corners, and it shows.

Service, pancakes, hot beverages were great. Husband's over easy eggs were perfect. My scrambled eggs looked like they were cooked on last night's dirty grill. The black bits and overload of dark grease was a real turn off. I should have sent them back but thought maybe I'd get worse back. It should have never come out of the kitchen looking so gross. If I'd have made that at home I'd have chucked it right in the garbage, but then, I'd never have had black dirt in my eggs to begin with.

Had a great experience here. The culture of what is Cracker Barrel is reflected here. The dining room was welcoming and clean. Hostesses, cashiers and waitress were welcoming and nice! I had their new Benny brunch plate. Delicious! The seasoning and pairing with hollandaise sauce is perfect. The corn bread and biscuit was delicious but definitely was out for a bit but nonetheless delicious. We also had their new creative pancake taco plate! Whaaaaa so interesting and creative. Our waiter was new but working hard and determined.

Chicken and Chicken & Dumplin Soup Bowl Side of Macaroni & Cheese

First time at Cracker Barrel I've never been and this is what was served to me, I ordered chicken and dumplings soup the lunch, with a SIDE of Mac and cheese . The food took long to come out and when it did it wasn't warm and a side of Mac n cheese is supposed to a side not in my soup never again !!!!!

The menu had some interesting sandwich and burger options at pretty decent price points. My husband ordered a burger and enjoyed it. I decided to try the lobster grilled cheese, which sounded too good to pass up. When it came out, the lobster was chilled and the cheese wasn't melted, which definitely caught me by surprise. Our waitress mentioned it was supposed to be melted, but since I'm not one to play roulette with sending food back, I just went ahead and ate it. Even with that surprise, the flavors were still good and I left satisfied. The venue itself is large and nicely themed, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. Overall, a solid spot with good service.

Restaurant was not overly busy and had plenty of staff to accommodate the small amount of guests. Waited almost an hour for our food with no apology from management. When our burgers were delivered our server claimed the kitchen made our burgers incorrectly- she either forgot to put it in or it had been sitting for quite sometime. Top burger bun was luke warm. Fries (that were an additional cost) were burnt. For the $17 price one would expect more than a thin slice of bacon for a burger with bacon in the name. "Enjoyed" the meal without anything to drink as I was never offered a refill of water.

Root and Branch is worth it! We stopped during a day of activity and had an amazing meal! The group shared the Lump Crab Cakes and Braised Short Rib Crustini appetizers that were sensational! Again the meals were flawless and ever so full of flavor, such a refreshing experience! The rest of the group opted for sandwiches and everyone was impressed with the quality and presentation. We opted for the alcoholic drinks, but if I came again, I'd opt for the mocktails, as both we ordered were crazy light pours. The food was pretty good. I love this... perfectly balanced Irish red Hey There Sunshine NEIPA 6% ABV... a new England IPA with I think west or east coast hops, maybe even new Zealand. Not juicy quite hoppy and dry. This one has some IBUs Hefe my Sun hefeweizen 5.4% ABV... this hefe is a tad Americanized with a little hoopiness to it, and I yes I made up those words. What a charming little restaurant in downtown Clermont! We were in town for Thanksgiving with…read morefamily and they wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday early...and we requested a steakhouse! We had a dinner reservation for the night before Thanksgiving and for a good bit of our meal, we were the only ones there - but it did start filling up a bit throughout the night! We were six adults and service was fantastic. My husband opted for a one of their steaks, as well as the macaroni and cheese; he also started with the lobster bisque which is poured tableside and was literally so good - not too heavy on the cream and full of lobster and flavor. I started with the tomato heirloom salad - it was so unique and fun; from the charred lettuce, to the pesto flavor, to the fresh heirloom tomatoes and cheese - I really did enjoy this light way to start the meal. Then, I opted for the scallop dish - which was good! I didn't love the candied orange bits that were used for garnish, but did enjoy the rest of the meal! For his dessert, they brought out an odd dessert - it was like a lava cake...but with strawberries, caramel sauce, and topped with cotton candy? Haha, we all enjoyed trying it and all enjoyed different parts of it - but as a whole dish, it was a bit of a strange concept. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would certainly go back!

The ambiance and music were really enjoyable and made for a nice atmosphere. The lobster mac and cheese and shrimp cocktail were both great and definitely the highlights of the meal. They were out of mashed potatoes and offered a baked potato instead, which was fine, but felt a bit underwhelming for the type of dining experience and price point. Unfortunately, the tomahawk steak was a major disappointment. While the center was cooked okay, the steak arrived only lukewarm, which made it seem like it may have been cooked too early and sat before being served. On top of that, the exterior was so heavily charred that every bite tasted burnt and completely overpowered the flavor of the meat. For a steak at this price point, that level of quality was really disappointing. What made the experience worse was the confusion over pricing. Since the tomahawk was listed at market price, we specifically asked beforehand and were quoted $125 by our server. When the bill came, we were charged $175. After my husband questioned it, the explanation became unclear, and we were ultimately told $125 was the correct price and the bill was adjusted. Had we not spoken up, we would have been overcharged by $50. We really wanted to love this place for a special occasion and appreciate supporting local businesses, but overall the experience ended up being just okay.
