I'm always a huge fan of Cracker Barrel because they're consistently supportive of the RV community. I rolled in just in time for dinner and it hit the spot. I love their meatloaf, and tonight's portion with mac and cheese and broccoli was exactly the kind of comfort food I wanted. The biscuits went straight into the take out container for breakfast tomorrow, which is always a nice little bonus. After dinner and a quick wander through the store where, for once, I didn't buy anything, I headed back out to the camper van, locked up, and settled in for the night. An RV park would easily run upwards of $75 for a single night, but here the overnight parking is free with the simple, polite request that if you're having a meal, you have it with them. Family member allowed me to taste the has brown casserole. I remember when this was crispy on the outside. This was underdone potato with what tasted like cheese substitute. I used to love to come to Cracker Barrel to browse the store. They always had such unique items in the store, and still do. It was so fun to browse and explore new items; actually, a special Joy of mine. But unfortunately, I no longer feel that same way. The last several times that I have been there, I've been repeatedly bothered by a sales lady asking me if I needed help. I told her no thank you and that I was just browsing. I ordered the steak and eggs medium and sunny side up. I get a half medium and half very rare steak that was cold and not salt other seasoning on it. Then they brought out eggs that were barely cooked still had clear egg white on the topside also cold to the touch. Cracker Barrel just isn't the same anymore. It used to be my go-to spot for comfort food, but the last few visits have been disappointing. They don't give jam or butter with the biscuits anymore--what happened to the little things? Took like 25-30 mins to get jam for my biscuits. They've taken good items off the menu, and everything that's left just feels... basic. The flavor is bland, and the food isn't how it use to be. You also have to fetch the salt and pepper. Service? Legitimately had the most transcendent pancakes of my life tonight. My daughters, husband, and I come here a lot, and we always have a great meal for a great price, but tonight, the food just hit different. Maybe it's because it was a long work week, and Cracker Barrel on a Friday night is a great reward. Maybe it was because I was really craving some pancakes. Went to this Cracker Barrel in Clermont,Fl. We ordered our food. The waitress didn't bring us any spoons and had to ask for one. The toast wasn't grilled as ordered just toasted so we had to get it resent which took awhile. The waitress set the bill down when we started our meal which I thought was strange as they were not busy .. My son's pancakes were not cooked so after we finished he told the waitress just to take them off the bill. She only took off $2.00 which we thought was chincy so we asked for the manager, She was a very nasty person, Told us. 2.00 is all she would give and took up for the waitress who was not good at all. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with the Cracker Barrel in Clermont, FL was so frustrating and disappointing that it needs to be shared. I had placed a $300 catering order for a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) event, scheduled for pickup at 5:30 PM. I followed all the instructions: arrived on time, parked in the designated spot, and checked in as directed. I even got a reminder text to check in when I arrived. After waiting 15-20 minutes with no sign of my order, I called the restaurant. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, only to be told they never received my order. They said it would take another 20-25 minutes to prepare the food. After 30 more minutes of waiting, I went inside to ask for a manager. Despite my request, no manager came out. Instead, a staff member named Kevin (who had answered my call earlier) came out to apologize after another 15-minute wait. Finally, about 10 minutes later, the food was brought out. Unfortunately, later that evening, they called me to say they forgot part of my order (the chicken), even though they had assured me everything was accounted for when I picked it up. I asked for a refund or some kind of compensation for the major inconvenience and was told they "couldn't do that," but would "do their best" to make it right. As of now, no one has followed up. This whole ordeal made me 30 minutes late to a veterans' presentation -- an event that meant a lot to me and the community. It was embarrassing, not just for me, but frankly for Cracker Barrel as well. I've always considered Cracker Barrel to be a place that values hospitality and community, but this experience showed a serious lack of accountability and customer care. Had a great experience here. The culture of what is Cracker Barrel is reflected here. The dining room was welcoming and clean. Hostesses, cashiers and waitress were welcoming and nice! I had their new Benny brunch plate. Delicious! The seasoning and pairing with hollandaise sauce is perfect. The black bits and overload of dark grease was a real turn off. I should have sent them back but thought maybe I'd get worse back. It should have never come out of the kitchen looking so gross. Sooo we came for breakfast and it was pretty much what we had expected. I got the egg, bacon, hash brown casserole (aka scrambled). Ok portion good flavor etc. wife got the chicken fried steak breakfast which was ok (Peg's Reno NV great CFS) and probably will not get again. Atmosphere is the rustic which is nice butt the wooden chairs are definitely to small for the average person. The entry way with store and all the nostalgic and festive merchandise is always a win... love it :) we prefer breakfast over the dinner menu but all are different so go give it a try. read more

I've been visiting my family in Florida for years and came to visit my family for Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately, this was my last day prior to my flight and we went to a family breakfast. Service was amazing, our waitress was amazing (I wish I got her name!) Everyone was super nice to my family, myself and my daughter. As we were leaving we went to the shop. My daughter was super excited to get herself and her sister a toy. My daughter and her boy cousin were looking around and myself and my two adult cousins were walking around with the kids. While walking around we noticed a lady named Libbi a cashier lady coming by and asking us for help. We politely said no we are okay. We weren't the only families or customers in the shop at that time. We noticed she continued to follow us around the store through out our time in the shop. As a minority professional myself and business owner, I hope nobody has to go through this because everyone there was amazing through out our time. From their friendly ambiance, extraordinary service, and plentiful breakfast, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is always a stop to look forward in every road trip we take. This particular store was no exception and kept up with our illusions of an enjoyable stop before our last trip. The service was impeccable as usual and the food was enjoyable as expected. The pancakes are always great, and the little bottles of maple syrup that they give you are always great to have. One negative thing that was very surprising to us was the whole Apple Pie we order to go. It was not enjoyable at all and we ended up trashing it all away. I find it hard to believe that this is the way they make their apple pies, or we happened to bought an exception: it was overly flaky and dry. I hope to have a better opinion because it is doubtful that a store like this would miss in something as stable to America as an Apple Pie. We go here once in a while for comfort food. Today it was anything but. I ordered the daily special broccoli cheddar chicken with mash potatoes and cole slaw. The food came out lukewarm and the brown gravy seemed congealed The broccoli cheddar topping for the chicken seemed like a salty congealed casserole. When our server saw most of the meal left she asked me if I wanted a box. I told her no it was awful. Showed her the gravy and she said it wasn't congealed it has a piece of onion in it. The store when you walk in and filled with nostalgic items and had a little bit of everything. Cute place. Restaurant is ok, too much on the tables and small seating. Was not able to accommodate our table of 8 so we had to be seated at two different tables which was not great due to the fact we had family that we rarely see with us. Our server Bri was awesome. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I always order the Breakfast Skillet which is so delicious, I love the Hashbrown Casserole (totally makes it)! The servers are always friendly and I really enjoy the cozy atmosphere! It fun to look around in the gift shop up front too, prices are reasonable and there are a lot of unique items! First off after sitting it took 15 minutes to get a drink order then 15 more minutes to get my order placed. I'm not even kidding here it took an hour to get my order & it was brought out like it had been all tossed on a plate and shoved out the window. Very few okra and the chicken was horribly greasy. I'm like sir no way I'm eating that can u get it replaced & even the sweet potato wasn't cooked all the way. 20 minutes passes and the manager brings out what should've been delivered the first time. This was the first time in years that when we set down, we were given corn muffins and biscuits. They were hot and delicious. For our drinks, she brought two of each so we would not go thirsty. We ordered chicken and dumplings and the homestyle chicken. I also did the hashbrown casserole tots as a side. They were not as crisp as in the past, so it was definitely a fork item. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. Tonnette was our waitress and was incredible. The food was good. It was not too busy and you can pay from the table now on the receipt using the QR code. Was told it would be 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, I asked how much longer and was told to be patient. 45 minutes, we finally sat at a table. (The restaurant was not that busy). Ordered and food took another 45 minutes to arrive. Menu and food have changed. Hash brown casserol was plain and tasted like sticky soggy hashbrowns with no seasoning. Our server tried to keep our drinks full for the most part. I ordered a grilled chicken salad that was mostly lettuce. Ranch dressing was watery and given one tiny container for a large salad. It can get busy here; especially on weekends so early meals or between times is best. Country Fried Steak is very good.
