9.5.13. Not much different from other Wendy's locations. I did decide to try something different from my usual Baja Salad; I instead opted for the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It was worth it--loved the chicken with a kick! The staff here was friendly, the place was clean & there were bathrooms. On a weekday at lunchtime, this place was pretty crowded. I even ran into a classmate here. On this particular day that we went, there was a man near the drive through entrance with a sign that was asking for money for food. My coworker asked, "what would you do, give the guy money or buy him food?"--what would you do? Went there yesterday with my son, staff is usually nice but I'm disappointed that when I used their coke machine and mostly water was coming out, I told 3 people that all their flavors and both machines were watered down. Finally a manager got involved, it looked like he was trying to fix it but then they both left like whatever no one will notice. I hope I'm wrong and he went to make a call for someone to come fix it but if not then that's shitty. I was thirsty and done with my meal and needed to leave so I went and got my coke which was the same as the first few times I tried it. Hope they get that fixed. read more

I think this is my favorite Wendy's. The fries are always crispy, not soggy. When I crave fast food, it's usually Wendy's - 5 piece chicken nuggets, cup of chili, and a side salad for $3! Now that's a deal. And if you have a military id, you receive a complimentary small frosty (I think they still do this-may have changed). My last visit (last night), I was craving their home spun strawberry shake. I saw their tv ads and the promotion signs entering the drive-thru....drool. Of course, it was not available!! I was forced to try their chocolate flavor. Not bad, but I would still prefer their regular chocolate frosty. But I still want to taste that strawberry one!! Damn you Wendy's. I love Wendy's food, but this Wendy's is very frustrating. The night manager is super gracious and kind (hence why the no one star review) but the last three times I've come I've asked for extra onion on my burger, and the last three times there has literally been a single tiny piece of onion. If you're going to let people customise their orders, and don't give them less than you'd get normally at any other store. I don't do reviews but figured this was necessary as i spent about $75 and it was our first time here and I definitely won't be back. The person who took our order was great. We ordered a lot so it took a little bit before getting our food, understandable. Got our food and it was clear by just the color that some fries were over cooked. Honestly, we were just gonna deal with it. Then i figured we spent a lot, we could atleast get food that we'll enjoy. So i took the over cooked fries to the counter and asked if we could get new fries for our bacanator meals because they were over cooked. (the fries for the kids meals were fine). the worker grabbed the tray without saying anything and dumped the fries in the trash. She then made 2 medium fries and almost dropped it handing it to me, no words and terrible body language. I didnt want to make a scene so I took what she gave me and went back to our table. I feel like she should have asked how many and what size fries we needed replaced or she could have looked at my receipt to see how many bacanotor meals we had. 4, we had 4 large size baconator meals and all the fries were over cooked. She didn't bother to ask nor did she even apologize. My kids wanted to order more food as they were still hungry since they didnt have much fries. They also wanted frosty's but due to the poor customer service i refused to spend any more money there. read more

This was my very first time to eat something that is close by before going to the movies. Wanted inquire about what the iD card offer was and it was the small junior frosty. However i was really blown away by how they for your name for your order and it was very fast how i got my food. As I was waiting i was very amazed by the soda fountains as well as the condiments area...it was great to see it well stocked as well as the soda choices you can pick. I really appreciate the friendly staff here and if you do the survey about the recent visit, make sure that you do read the fine print and don't hesitate to call or vist the website. I really like the Strawberry Lemonade drink and it was perfect for me. Also they have the right price, right side menu for those who don't want to spend too much for a burger and other things too. So the next time I return to this location, i want to make sure that i can enjoy the food and have a great time to explore something that I have never done before. I went to this Wendy's location on 11/6/14 in the evening. I think the food is pretty good, but just don't go to Wendy's often since I only seem to pass by it when I'm busy with errands or going to work. The place was clean and had a good number of people dining inside with a nice atmosphere. The manager Greg was running the register and polite and friendly with everyone. What impressed me enough to want to make a review was that when I was eating my food, he went to each table and asked everyone if everything was ok. I have never seen that in a fast food place before. Have you? I'll admit what I remembered about Wendy's (many months ago) prior to this visit was loud, young kids running the counter and the place was a mess with trash on the floor and tables. That bad memory can now be replaced with my most recent visit of the wonderful service from manager Greg and the other employees working that night. read more

Excuse the burger.... but I just ate it while I was mad . I ordered the 4 for $5 and said the junior bacon cheeseburger and there was no lettuce no bacon no tomato!!!! Just meat and pickles !! So disappointed! And on top of that I got the fries with the bacon and cheese. I asked for extra cheese they charge me for it and there was no extra cheese. For that you get 1 star . Worst order takers of all time. I attempted to do a drive-thru via your location at Kamakana Alii. Greeting was fine, what commenced after is cause for serious concern. I initially ordered the Jalapeño burger, asked if I wanted single, double, or triple, I replied with a "single please"... Ok then I was asked if I wanted anything else which I replied "yes, may I have a small chocolate frosty"... so then I looked at the menu and decided maybe a meal would be more affordable... ok so I asked which way was cheaper... What is the total with a frosty for a meal or is it cheaper with the sandwich and frosty. Ok so female order taker laughs and all of a sudden I hear "oh my God" it was a male voice. I then say "are you serious?!" He then comes on and try's to speak more bull to me. I decided this was not where I would like to spend money this evening. Wendy's Kapolei (Kamakana Ali) needs to have their staff completely retrained for customer service. The audacity to be laughed at and for that employee to say "oh my God" word of advice turn off your order taking box next time. Your personal opinion caused your entire company to suffer. The drive thru attendant was EXTRAORDINARILY kind, friendly and efficient. I appreciated his effort to provide us with great service. His kindness and awesome customer service was a pleasant surprise. Most other fast food restaurants do not give me the individualized attention that I felt from him. I didn't see his name tag, but my receipt says the hosts' name is Carlos. I will definitely choose to go to this Wendy's over another fast food specifically because of Carlos!! Coming from someone like me who has managed and supervised in the corporate world and have been in customer service for over 20 years, I have never been treated with such rudeness. Immediately approaching the cashier, there was no smile, a snippy tone and an attitude as if I had interrupted her day. Secondly, when I realized the iced tea was not among the self service, I once again approached the same cashier and asked "excuse me, do you have iced tea?" (While keeping my composure), she "snatched" the cup right out of my hand. I partly blame those who manage the restaurant for not providing adequate customer service training at the least. Today we were only missing straws and a fork for our baked potato and salad, but in the majority of our previous visits we've been given the incorrect items or an item was completely missing from our order. I don't have any luck in Wendy's locations. Stopped in this location this morning because I: A) am broke, B) work nearby, and C) lilcheezerz makes me feel ghetto, even if I am broke and work nearby. The only positive: my order did not take forever like it did at the Aiea location (exact same order) BUT...what should come through the door, but a methhead, yelling out p-word and c-word, and making it uncomfortable for the few of us that were in there, with me being the only female. I kept making sure tweaker stayed in his corner because I know how psycho tweakers can get. They are also extremely paranoid, and had tweaker been armed, since he came in yelling female-offensive words, he obviously has issues with women, so I'd have been the target if he did have a weapon. Decided to go inside for lunch because the drive thru line was nutz. Big mistake! Had one guy in there with his shirt off ordering. The mgr did tell him to put it on but during my extensive wait I had a pretty long view of his back. Some how the same homie gets his name called before me, then he grabs my togo order and walks off. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. Great food but HORRIBLE service. I waited in line for 20 minutes and finally they took my order. I only ordered one spicy chicken sandwich, not even a meal, a sandwich--my friend ordered the same thing and she got hers promptly. People who ordered after me were receiving their food before me, which I thought was kind of strange so I asked the cashier if they forgot to give me my order... No, they just completely FORGOT my order. After more customers who ordered after me were receiving their meals, I decided to go up again and ask for my refund since I thought that waiting 35 minutes for ONE sandwich was completely absurd! During the 55 minutes that I was in Wendy's, they lost 3 customers because just the wait in line was too long. I just want to review the pretzel burger and waffle cone Frosty and give it all the stars. Those of us that live in town don't pass by too many Wendy's so when you see one it's a treat. We just wanted to get Frostys and fries, aka the best combo ever, and would have been happy with this old standby. But then we saw the PRETZEL BUN burger and had to try. And it was so good. Like it actually came out and looked just like the ad. Spinach, bright red tomato slices, crispy bacon, and a pretzel bun. 5 stars right there.
